CHAPTER EIGHTEEN.

 Maybe listening to head Alpha Rhaegal's word was not the best thing to do. I should have stopped at the fifth or sixth glass but I just kept following his pace, downing glass after glass of whiskey till I lost count. Surprisingly enough, I wasn't fully drunk yet.

I walked into the men's bathroom with Eric while the girls diverted to the ladies. After freeing our kidneys, we walked out of the stalls to wash our hands when I felt some unknown presence.

I disregarded it at first until I felt someone release their pheromones. I grabbed Eric and turned to leave when I heard the lock click shut!

 Five wolves, three Alphas and two Betas, were staring at us with a particular look. That one look I hate the most in my life.

" Move." I seethed.

" Oh c'mon now sweetheart, you know we can't do that." one of the Alpha spoke " We've been holding it in ever since we saw you walk in with those friends of yours."

 Eric gripped my hands with his sweaty ones while hiding behind me. He was petrified.

" Where are those Alpha you came with? It's not a smart idea to let unmarked omegas prance around in a nightclub."

__Bang! Bang!

Someone suddenly banged the door from outside. The Alphas immediately released their pheromones the more, probably as a warning and a threat to the person outside.

 My face paled and I stumbled backwards with Eric whose body was hot to the touch.

This feeling...... No! No no no no no! Fuck no! I have to get the fuck out of here!

" Lucien!" I snapped my head up.

 " Jamie?!"

" What's going on in there-"

" Run! " I yelled.

" What? " May asked.

" Guys! Run! That's a fucking order! "

 Even though I wasn't the Luna yet and I probably will never get to be, everyone in the pack already see me as their Luna which means my order and words are not to be ignored.

 I heard a series of hurried footsteps the moment I gave that order. The five of them surrounding us seemed more than ready to drag the girls in. I couldn't let that happen!

" Ah shit! I'm actually interested in those female omegas but no worries, we have you two." a beta sneered.

" Let's get them out of here before those Alpha friends of theirs arrive."

 I wasn't really listening. I could barely stand as I grabbed unto the sink while shielding Eric. I can't hold back anymore!

 ' Hey! " I yelled at my wolf.

' Don't call me hey! Give me a better name'

' Shove it! I need you to take over. I have to be in control too but I need you to resolve this. Two Betas, I can handle. An Alpha, no worries. But this.... Just get the fuck out alr-"

 I felt my consciousness sway a bit and my eye color changed immediately. My body cooled down somewhat as the pheromone effect started wearing off slowly. I slowly stood straight and after regaining my footing, I lunged at an Alpha.

 I had zero idea what was going on and all I could see was red. All I know is, I'm not going down without a fight. I couldn't let them hurt Eric either. I was strong in my human form but I've been training for a while now with my newly formed wolf, so i know how strong he is.

 i suddenly felt a blinding pain pierce through the left side of my stomach. An Alpha had dug his nails into my stomach! Fuck!

" Fuck it!"

 Literally! I gave full control to my wolf and just sat back as my eyes finally turned silver. The adrenaline rushing through my vein gave me less time to think about the blinding pain.

In a short time, I felt all the excitement drain from my body and pain settled in.

" Lucien!" I heard Eric call out to me.

" I'm fine." I said as I leaned unto the sink for support.

 I was a bit confused. The attackers were all on the ground already but my body was still burning hot. I wasn't taking in any more of their pheromones and even Eric had blocked his nose. What the fuck?!

I suddenly heard the door handle twist violently. Someone was trying to come in but I couldn't move and Eric was still scared soulless.

__Bam!

The door flung open as a familiar scent hit me.

Head Alpha Rhaegal!

I slowly started taking in his scent to calm myself down but instead, my situation got worst and that's when it hit me..... I had gone into heat!

Those bastards purposely invoked my scent glands to force out my heat cycle in order to weaken me! Nyx was right....

Wait! Nyx!

I fumbled around my coat pocket and took out the injection she gave me from the pouch. I quickly sank the needle into my skin, injecting the colored liquid into my body without hesitation.

According to Nyx, she and her band of scientists were working on some strong suppressants that can fully control an Omega's heat cycle and tame an Alpha's rut. That's the same suppressant Head Alpha Rhaegal's using.

A pair of sturdy arms quickly wrap themselves around my frame as I saw from the corner of my eyes, Derek, crossing the room and pulling his mate close and dragging him into one of the stalls.

" Are you hurt?" a soft and worried voice floated from above my head while my nostrils were assaulted by a large dose of pheromones that calm me down.

" I'm fine." I said " Good thing Nyx gave me that suppressant in case of an emergency. I could have gone into heat without warning."

Head Alpha Rhaegal hugged me tighter when he heard those words.

Soon, I managed to calm down and force back my heat in other to avoid an irregular heat cycle. Derek and Eric soon emerged with a less restless Eric. I couldn't hold back and freed myself from Head Alpha Rhaegal to check up on Eric.

" Are you okay?"

" I'm fine." Eric beamed.

" Fucking hell, that omega!" a groan suddenly echoed.

We all glanced down and noticed that the five attackers were finally coming around.

" Dylan, Milo, Jace, take them away." Head Alpha Rhaegal suddenly said.

I couldn't understand what was going on but everyone's face changed and they couldn't hide their expression.

" Head Alpha-"

" Now!"

I shuddered internally and took a step back. I have never, in these past few months, seen Head Alpha Rhaegal this angry nor furious.

A hand grabbed me and dragged me out the door along with Eric. The girls were standing outside with pals faces and different expressions.

__Bang!

The toilet door shut loudly, not sign of Head Alpha Rhaegal or Derek. My scalp tingled as I turned and stared straight at Jace, refusing to budge or leave like their Alpha stated.

" What's going on?" it was useless asking Dylan and Adrian as they would never tell me.

" This..."

I turned towards the girls instead.

" I think it's best if-"

__Bam!

The restroom door suddenly shook with force! I felt a lump rise up in my throat as I finally understood what was happening.

How could I forget!? Alphas are extremely territorial especially towards their mates. Though we weren't really at that stage yet, I could be considered taken already.

Going after Eric and I was a big miscalculation on their parts and now, they were being beaten down by an enraged and dominant Head Alpha and his furious and strong Alpha friend. It was a through and shrew beat down!
