CHAPTER FIFTEEN.

 The whole yard was quiet as the wolves stood still, not willing to engage in a confrontation with Lucien. It's the first time any of us have seen an omega transform into a beta size silver wolf, no one's willing to take any chances.

" So now what?" Alpha Colton's gaze was hard " you're gonna call off the agreement between our two packs?"

" Respectfully Alpha Colton, Lucien's my mate. I'm not going to reject him for Ms Scott. And I'm not calling off the agreement between our packs, just the engagement."

 Yeah, that pissed him off. His face flashed through a series of colors like he was trying to keep himself in check.

" Ah! Good! Very good!" He suddenly laughed loudly " I'll like to hear what your father has to say about this."

 I ignored him and bent down to stroke Lucien's wolf. It was holding a fighting stance and might attack a pack member in a fit of rage. I had to calm it down.

" I have to say, your wolf form is easier to talk to than your human wolf Lucien." I murmured lowly " You might kill me once you regain consciousness and you might even try to run. No, you'll definitely run away once you regain consciousness. What am I gonna do then?"

 The wolf slowly calm down and nudged me. It was probably trying to comfort me and assure me that'll never happen. I know for a fact it will. In fact, there's an 11/10 chance that Lucien will try to run once he regains consciousness.

 " let's go." I slowly guide it into the pack house and upstairs into Lucien's room.

 it scrunched up its nose when it smelt Xavier's scent and instead, buried its whole body in my arms. I had no choice but to lock the door and sit with it.

" Can you bring Lucien back?" it shook it head immediately " C'mon. I won't let him run away, I promise. I just want to talk to him. Can you shift back to human form please?"

 It seemed hesitant and didn't comply at first, staying silent for a long time while whining. After thinking it through, it stood up and walked towards the closet. I quickly stood up and picked out an outfit for it before opening the bathroom door.

  After a while, the door opened and Lucien's scent hit me hard. He's still experiencing his heat and he was sweating profusely, despite the freezing weather.

" Ge....Get out!" he tried to push me away only to end up falling into my arms.

" Don't be foolish." I swept him off his feet and carried him towards the bed.

" Let me down! What do you think you're doing?"

" A suppressant won't work, you need to calm down first." He seemed weak and fragile all of a sudden.

" Stay away from me!"

" Stop overreacting." I pinned him down.

 His face suddenly twisted in horror as he frantically tried to free himself despite his weak state. I quickly loosened my grip and buried my head in his nape.

I heard him wince but I knew he wasn't hurting. He just hated the sight of me. He hate me to the core. He's fine around the others and even the Alphas in the pack but when it comes to me, he makes a run for the hills.

" I won't do anything so don't worry." I murmured against his skin " I'm just trying to help you. So don't push me away or try to run. Even if my pack members now know you as my mate, it doesn't mean their feral side won't surface at the sight of an omega in heat. So please just stay still."

 That seemed to work as he released his grip on me and slouched against my body. He was heaving and he seemed to be in a lot of pain. There's an easier way to help him, but I don't want him to hate me further.

" Lie down." I instructed " You need my pheromones to help reduce the pain. It should be fine in a few days."

He didn't comply so I had to do it myself. After tucking him in properly, I laid behind him and draw his body into mine. I wrapped one of my arms around his chest and the other around his waist and pulled him in closer.

" Don't go too far." his voice was low and raw but he refuse to give into his primal Instincts.

" Since I can't help you sexually, this is the next best thing, so bear with me." I buried my face in his silky hair " Our bodies has to be close to one another for days. Just try and sleep."

I didn't get a response so I poked his arm. I frowned a bit and turned him around only to find out he had fallen asleep. I smiled and pulled him in close, wrapping my hand tighter around him. Our pheromones filled the room.

 For three days straight, Lucien and I did nothing more than sleep, eat, brush, shower and sleep some more. Mom was the only one who came up to the room, as every other wolf were prohibited. Including Xavier.

 We gave Lucien suppressants, but they didn't work, so he had no choice but to spend his heat with me. Every single time I touch him, his face wells up in disgust and it seems like he can't wait to flee from me.

 I'll be lying if I said I wasn't hurt by it, after all, he's my mate, my other half and yet he has so much hatred for me and he's always disgusted by the mere sight of me. It was nerve wrecking.

" Here eat this." I passed the plate to him.

 He avoided eye contact like he's been doing for days now but he couldn't hide his facial expression. He really is disgusted.

 " Did I do something wrong?" I caught his retreating arm, causing him to flinch.

" Wha.....what are you doing?! Let go!"

" That's precisely what I'm talking about." I dragged him up and brought him into my arms " You're fine around others, hell, you're fine being around the Alphas in the pack. But whenever you lay eyes on me, you can't hide the hatred and disgust and I can see it clearly in your eyes. I've never wronged you before so why do you hate me so much?"

" Listen. You and I both know that I'll leave this pack once my heat subsides. I'll never accept a mate, what more an Alpha. " he replied in a dry tone.

" Lucien, you're still so naive. " I laughed " Do you know? Once a wolf finds it mate, he'll never let go. Even if I have to chase you to the ends of the earth, i will. But then again, I won't give you the chance to run from me. Not only will it weaken me but you might die. I'm not gonna let that happen. "

" Then I'll reject you." I felt my spine go rigid.

Reject me?! Lucien wants to reject me! He'll rather suffer loosing his wolf and backlash of breaking our bond than being with me?!

" I Lucien of Dark Moon Pack, rejects Head Alpha-"

 I didn't let him finish that cursed statement before crashing my lips on his. I wrapped one hand around his slim waist and the other found it way to the back of his head and held him steady.

 His reaction was slow but when he finally came to, he tried pushing me away like always but this time, I wasn't having it. I pried his lips open and delved into his mouth, exploring every inch of it as I kissed the living daylight out of him.
