CHAPTER SEVENTEEN.

 Evening came and I got dressed and went back to the pack house to meet the others and pick up Lucien.

It's been a while since we went to the human city and the guys kept pestering me about giving them permission to go. Since I'm trying to bond with Lucien, I figured, why not go with them and bring Lucien along. This will bring us a bit closer if we spend the whole night together.

 I got to the pack house and saw the guys standing outside, leaning on the Jeeps, while waiting for the girls. Lucien, Xavier and Eric wasn't with them either. I groaned internally when I remembered who May and Sophie are. They are probably giggling evilly to themselves while dolling up those three.

  The door suddenly swing open as the girls stepped out, dressed in knee-length gowns and sandals or heels. They had light makeup on with few jewelries. I've gotten used to seeing them in khakis and sweats, this dressing only see the light of day whenever we visit the human city.

" Where's Lucien?" I asked.

" Can't wait to be all over your mate uhn? " May jeered " He's coming. Xavier and Eric are coming with him. "

" We're ready!" Xavier suddenly called out and rushed towards Adrian.

 I turned my head away, not in the mood for their occasionally PDA. My gaze landed on Lucien who was slowly making his way out with Eric. I felt my heart skip a few beats at the sight of him.

 He was putting on a black long sleeve turtleneck with long black pants. A small pendant dangled on his neck and his long silver hair was up in a ponytail. He was putting on a pair of plain black canvas and he had a long coat in hand. He was.... Stunning!

 Lucien quickly walked up to me tugging at a loose strand of hair with annoyance. I reached out and helped him tuck it behind his ear.

" Thanks."

" Mm." I couldn't trust my own voice.

" So where exactly are we going?" Sophie's question drew me out of my reverie.

" Well we can't go to Blue sky after that scene the guys caused last time." I glared at Derek and Dylan " Let's just go to Ivan's place. He'll be thrilled to have us and the place will have more wolves than humans."

" Alright. "

 There were three cars ready for us and I walked towards mine while opening the door for Lucien. He got in and muttered a thanks. I smiled brightly and shut the door only to face my pack members who were staring at me with a knowing look.

" Not.... A..... Word." I glared and quickly got into the car.

 Derek and Eric joined us while Sophie and April joined Adrian and Xavier. The others got into the third car and we were off. We left the pack house around Seven and it'll take us forty-five minutes to get there.

 Sporadically I couldn't help but glance at Lucien who was resting with his eyes closed. I know he could feel my gaze on him but that didn't stop me from staring at him up until we arrived at our destination.

" Stay close to me Lucien, the place is teeming with wolves and Alphas." I told Lucien.

 He nodded immediately and stuck himself to my side. Though there was still some distance between us, it was better than other times.

 We walked in with the others and I was welcomed with a face full of pheromones. I glanced at Lucien whose face was pale already. The others weren't affected but Lucien and Xavier were a whole different case.

" Let's go to the third floor." I led them away " I already informed Ivan of our arrival."

They didn't object and followed behind while commenting on the renovations and changes made to the place. They'll knew I was doing it for Lucien and Xavier sake, plus, the floor was crowded and despite the low lighting, Lucien was starting to attract unwanted attention. The girls weren't spared either so it's best we move somewhere more private.

 We got to the third floor, approached a room and swiped the card across the door lock. It was a private room reserved for us only by Ivan. He said he wanted us to always be comfortable whenever we decide to visit.

Everyone took a seat and the girls turn the music on and started dancing. Soon, drinks were brought in by Ivan who stayed and chatted a bit before leaving. Lucien sat a bit away from me and he kept frowning at the sight of the alcohol. I don't think he's ever drank before.

I grabbed two glasses and walked towards him, occupying the space beside him. He turned towards me with a raised eyebrow.

" Here." I passed him the glass.

" I don't drink." i knew it " Nyx said it's bad for the body. I've never tried it before either."

" Mom will be thrilled to know there's someone who actually follows her words and warnings." I scoffed " Sometimes, you have to let loose. When we grow old, we shouldn't have any regrets. You should live your life to the fullest while you still can."

Lucien stayed silent for a while before accepting the glass of whiskey and tasting it. He frowned a bit before taking a sip. One glass turned into two and two into four. We chatted about minor things while watching our friends fool around.

At this moment, right now, I felt Lucien's wall crack a bit. He was getting use to my presence without knowing. He was getting comfortable around me without being aware of it.

" I need to use the restroom." he said while slipping on his coat.

  He seemed a bit tipsy and lightheaded but I never expected him to be a heavy drinker. It takes a lot to get a wolf drunk but for an omega, it's the normal dosage for humans. He's been keeping up with my pace and he's only tipsy. That's one strong omega.

" I'll go with you." I helped him up.

" What's wrong?" Jamie walked over.

" I'm just walking him to the bathroom."

" Don't bother. Eric, Sophie, May and I are on our way there. We'll go together."

" Okay. " Lucien agreed before I could even say anything and walked out with them.

  I shook my head and joined the others. Dylan was goofing off with Derek and Jace while Milo just hyped up the whole thing. I kept glancing at my watch and frowned a bit. They should be back by now.

  The door suddenly burst open and the girls frantically ran in with pale faces. I quickly shut down the jukebox and walked towards them.

" What's the-"

" Hurry!" Jamie grabbed me " Lucien....Lucien and Eric are being surrounded by Alphas in the restroom!"

 I bolted out the door and ran down the hallway in record speed, Derek not lagging behind.

I never should have let them go by themselves. Since we got here, they had been attracting a lot of attentions, even Xavier and the girls. I thought he'll be safe since the third floor was only reserved for few wolves and more human. Crazy part is, those two are unmarked! Derek was waiting for Eric's consent and even though the two are practically living together now, they still haven't mated yet.

I grabbed the door handle and twisted it only to discover it was locked! A scent suddenly hit me, followed by others.

 Lucien.... Eric.... unfamiliar Alphas and.... Betas and.... and blood!?

" Derek, move back!" I gave the door a strong kick, causing it to fly off its hinges.

 The others had caught up by now and we all rushed into the restroom only to stop dead in our tracks. My pupils constricted at the sight in front of me.
