CHAPTER FIVE.

 For the next few days, I got to know Nyx better, and we spent a lot of time together. I still couldn't visit Xavier cause his heat was gonna last a week, so I got comfortable with Nyx. Since i can't escape, I might as well make myself at home before getting butchered.

 We played Chess, put together pieces of jigsaw puzzles, and ate whatever I wanted. It was like living in paradise.

 After a week, I felt a lot better. Though Nyx said my scars may never fade, I didn't really care. The only visible ones were on my arm and neck. I'll just wear a turtleneck.

 I was finally able to see Xavier, but he wasn't in the same building as me. We went to the back of the clinic and I saw a relatively smaller building. It was pure white both in and out.

The door were metallic, and I almost yelped in surprise when it slid open itself. Everything was weird in this place.

 I was glad I didn't encounter any wolf on the way. We got to Xavier's room and like usual, the door slid open and a figure leapt into me , knocking me back a great distance.

" Ah for Goddess’ sake vier." I held him as I stabled myself " Do you intend to kill me? Take it easy, I'm still recovering."

" Sorry, sorry." he quickly back up.

 " It's fine. How do you feel? Still in pain?"

 " No no. I'm fine and I got a wolf too! " He seemed happy.

" You got a wolf?"

" Yeah but I can't come up with a name." he grabbed my hand " help me think of one."

" Hey it your wolf not mine. Think of one yourself."

" But I'm terrible at naming."

" Then go with whatever comes to mind. You can name it zade." I said offhandedly.

" Zade it is!" I shook my head and turned towards Nyx.

" I doubt we'll be able to leave in one piece." I said helplessly.

" If you want to leave then I won't stop you, but your brother's pretty unstable right now." Nyx frowned " You should stay for a few weeks till he's stable otherwise, I can't tell what'll happen if he suddenly goes into heat in the woods."

 I wanted to refute, but I couldn't come up with anything. She was right, after all, I was in charge of taking of the omegas back at Dark Moon so I know about it too. Once Xavier's stable, we'll leave. I can't defend him from a bunch of rogues if he suddenly goes into heat out of nowhere.

" Okay."

 Nyx smiled and guided us out of the building. We left the pack clinic and walked into the streets and I was in awe. Unlike Dark Moon that was like a ghost town, this place seemed like a city. There were houses everywhere and there were other buildings I never knew about and only saw in books.

 " I'll take you to the pack house. it's middle of winter already and most of them are with their families, so the place is relatively quiet. You'll settle in just fine."

 " What's that? " Xavier pointed at a statue that was spitting out water.

 " That's a fountain. You've never seen one?"

" Only in books." Xavier beamed and wanted to run towards it but it was surrounded by wolves who kept staring at us.

 " Don't worry, they won't do anything." Nyx laughed " they're just curious and you two stand out a bit too much."

 I saw Xavier blush and I had the urge to facepalm myself. This idiot blush at the slightest compliment.

 " Ah here we are!" I raised my head and in front of me was a huge building that was five stories high.

 It was painted blue and black, which I was thankful for cause I was starting to get sick of the occasional white.

 " let's go in."

 We walked in and Xavier and I froze at the door. Alpha pheromones were everywhere and although we weren't affected by it in that way, it was still intimidating, considering the fear and hatred i had for them.

" Hey guys, eyes on me!" Nyx yelled at the wolves inside.

Multiple pairs of eyes flew towards Nyx and some kept their piercing gazes on Xavier and I. I subconsciously dragged him behind me and shielded his body with mine.

 " Okay. Lemme introduce you to our two guests who will be staying here for a while." Nyx moved to the side and pointed at us "This is Lucien and that's his brother Xavier."

 " Hello." they all chorused.

 I didn't know what to make of the situation cause my head was spinning. They were Alphas, Betas, Deltas and omegas in the room and lemme make this clear to you; they were all fully clothed! Yes! Fully clothed and laughing with each other! They were female omegas amongst the too and everything seemed peaceful!

  What. The. Actual. Fuck!

 I'm gonna have to talk to Nyx later and ask her about it before I go crazy with speculations.

 " Helloooo?" I snapped out of it and turned to Nyx with a dumbfounded look.

  " Ah never mind." she turned to her pack members " Why don't you guys introduce yourselves instead?"

" I'm Maya."

" May."

" April."

" Sam."

" Sophie."

" Jamie."

" I'm Jace, a beta."

" Derek, an Alpha."

" Eric, an omega."

" Milo, an Alpha."

" I'm Dylan. Believe we've met before."

  My gaze shot to the one called Dylan and recalled that he was the delta Xavier and I met before.

 " Hello." I greeted " Thanks for your help."

 " No need."

" Well now that that's done and done with, I'll leave you two to-"

" A pretty fairy! " A small soft voice interrupted Nyx.

I shot my head towards a little girl in a blue dress who was running down a flight of stairs. Probably due to reflex actions or something I developed while being around careless omegas, I ran forward and quickly caught her.

" Mommy it's a fairy!" the girl clung unto my arms and smiled brightly.

" Anastasia!" Nyx reprimanded " I told you to stop running on these stairs. You might injure yourself one day."

" Mommy it's a fairy! " She kept on repeating.

I let go of her, but she clung unto my leg and stared up at me. I found myself looking into a pair of liquid blue eyes.

" A fairy?" I frowned " What fairy?"

" A white haired fairy!" she clung unto me even tighter " I always wanted a fairy. Mommy finally got me a fairy."

Laughter rang across the room all at once and I wanted to find a hole to bury myself. I know what a fairy is but calling me one.... I don't usually feel anything when people compliment me but getting a compliment from a kid....? I didn't know when my face went red.

" I... I'm not a fairy."

" Yes you are. A very pretty fairy."

" I'm a boy. Boys can't be fairies." I tried to get her off me.

" Is too! " She argued back " They're boy fairies in Tinkerbell. You look like the frost king in Tinkerbell."

I decided it was best if I kept my mouth shut. I thought I could find a room to hole myself up in till Xavier gets better and we could leave, but I don't think that's gonna be happening if this kid decides to take a liking to me. She'll cing unto justlike a leech.

" Okay I'm a fairy." I jus nodded in defeat.
