CHAPTER SIX.

  After a long session of agreeing and nodding, Anastasia finally let go.

 " Alright I'll leave you two to your devices, have fun." Nyx held Anastasia and walked out.

 I quickly followed behind. I still had some questions to ask her.

" Nyx, hold on." I closed the door behind me " I have something to ask you."

 " What is it?"

" It's about your pack. How...how do you treat the omegas in your pack?"

" Uhn what do you mean?" she frowned " how else are we suppose to treat each other?"

 " I was just curious about somethi-"

" Can I ask you a question?"

" Oh sure."

" How are the omegas treated in your pack?"

 I stayed quiet. I was hesitant to answer. I didn't trust anyone in this pack, I barely trust Nyx. The little trust I have for her is probably because she saved Xavier and I and kept us out of harm's way despite the fact we were from a rival's pack. It might be because she's an omega like me and she remind me of Alexia.

" I.... it's not a very pleasant story."

" You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable lu-"

" No it's not that." I waved my hands " It's not something to hide."

" Then follow me."

 I nodded and walked behind her. Anastasia kept on talking to me and asking how the other 'fairies' were doing. I almost had a breakdown.

 We arrived in front of a relatively small building that looked a bit similar to Alpha Nicolas' office and walked in. My pupils constricted when I smell that disgusting but familiar scent; An Alpha!

 I looked forward and my gaze clashed with another, as I stared into a pair of Light yellow eyes. It's an unnatural color but yet again, I have two different eye color and silver hair.

 " Rhaegal." Nyx called out " You might wanna hear this."

 " Hear what?" the head Alpha frowned.

" It's about Dark Moon Pack." I saw his frown deepen.

 Nyx guided me towards a couch and sat beside me while Anastasia insisted on sitting on my lap. I didn't refute cause I needed both mother and daughter support to overcome this pressure.

 " What about Dark Moon?"

  The head Alpha sat across me with a coffee table between us.

" Go ahead Lucien. You can tell him."

 I fidget on my seat. Honestly, I was scared of the Head Alpha. I was even more anxious to talk about Dark Moon Pack. He's our enemy. Yes he saved Xavier and I and even sheltered us, but who knows what'll happen next. Everything's moving way so fast and everyone's way too friendly and accommodating. Everything's different which scares the hell out of me.

 " The omegas at Dark Moon." I took a deep breath before continuing " We're nothing but pawns, tools to satisfy their sexual needs. Ever since our Luna died, Alpha Nicolas threw caution to the wind and lost all rationality. He didn't care what happens to the omegas and we were forbid to fight back.

" If an alpha wants any of us, we can't reject. We can only swallow our hatred and do what was asked of us. I've been taking care of the omegas since I was ten years old. I couldn't stand by and do nothing so I always snuck to their training ground and spy on them.

" I trained myself till I was strong enough to fight back, strong enough to take on a Beta. I took it upon myself to protect them ever since I saw an omega kill himself cause no one was willing to take responsibility for his child.

" We can't always depend on Alexia so I started challenging every one of them myself, even Head Alpha Nicolas, at the risk of my own life. He needed to get rid of me, so....so he sold me and Xavier off to some Alphas to become their mates.

" We were on the way to their respective packs when we got attacked by rogues. I took Xavier with me and ran into the woods. I don't know what's happening in the pack right now but I....I know he's taking it out on them. He'll punish them for my misgivings."

I pinched my skin in anxiety as I tried to contain the anger, hatred and sorrow that threatened to burst forth. Two different hands landed on me. A large one squeeze my shoulder while a smaller one held my face.

" Fairy don't be sad. Pretty fairies shouldn't cry."

I couldn't help but laugh lightly. I've only met the kid in one short hour, but she's a really lovely child.

" Okay. Fairy won't cry." I pinched her nose.

" Since there's someone who cares about you and the omegas back at Dark Moon then I'm sure they'll be fine."

" Thanks." I knew she was trying to comfort me.

I glanced at Head Alpha Rhaegal and noticed he was staring at me. I quickly lowered my head.

" You don't have to do that here." I heard him speak softly " We don't treat our omegas like that and even if we find any strays at our boarders, we don't treat them differently."

" All wolves are equal here." Nyx smiled " You and your brother are more than welcome to stay for as long as you like. Maybe if you stay for some time, you'll see how different the world is compared to your old pack."

" I don't want to overstay my welcome."

" Nonsense! We're basically friends now. You can stay forever if you want."

" Alright mother. Don't overwhelm him."

" Mother? " I shot my head up in surprise.

" You loud mouth." Nyx glared at the head Alpha before turning towards me " Don't look at me like that Lucien, I dropped that title a long time ago. I'm no longer the Luna. I'm just a pack healer. Don't try to distance yourself from me because of this."

I shook my head immediately. I wasn't planning on that. I was just surprised, that's all.

" Good. Now let's go back and meet up with the others. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine."

I nodded and got up while carrying Anastasia. She refused to let go.

" Thank you for your hospitality Head Alpha."

" Rhaegal." he said " Just call me that like mother does."

" I'm afraid I can't." I replied and quickly followed Nyx out.

" Why don't you return to the pack house with Anastasia?" Nyx suggested " I still have some things to settle at the clinic and i doubt this little chipmunk will want to be separated from you."

Hearing that statement made by her mother, Anastasia held me tighter.

" Okay, okay. Go back to the pack house with Lucien. I'll see you guys later." Nyx waved and walked in the opposite direction.

" Let's go." I placed Anastasia down and held her hand.
