CHAPTER SEVEN.

 We walked slowly while Anastasia busied herself with recounting things that happened in the pack. She talked about her friends from school and the likes.

" Anastasia-"

" Call me Anna." she interrupted " Everyone except mom and dad calls me that."

" Anna.... you're Head Alpha Rhaegal's sister right?"

" Right."

" Is your brother mean?"

" Rhaegal? No he's not. He's very nice and he always helps people. He even let me eat those gummies mom always hid away." she giggled.

  I nodded and didn't say anymore. Maybe I should stay and observe life outside my old pack. Old pack.....

 We arrived at the pack house soon and walked in. Sounds of laughter rang across the place and I could point out Xavier's voice. He was sitting with the wolves we met earlier and they were eating some deserts while telling each other stories.

 " Vier." I called out.

 Xavier shot up from his seat like he was hiding something and quickly ran up to me.

" Where did you go?" he asked with worry.

" I had something to talk about with Nyx." I scanned him from head to toe " What about you? What were you laughing about and what's that expression on your face?"

 " Nothing." Xavier shook his head vigorously.

 " Hey!" a smiling face suddenly appeared in my vision.

 I frowned slightly and moved back a bit. I'm not really comfortable with people being in my space, but I learned to live with it back at Dark Moon Pack. But having a girl run up to me like that, I felt a bit uncomfortable.

" Sorry." she moved back a bit " I just wanted to see you up close. You look even better than I thought."

" Of course he's pretty. He's a fairy." Anna was back to her vices.

" You're May right?" I asked.

" Yeah!" she laughed " You remembered."

 " I have a good memory." I said as I scanned the omega in front of me.

 She had chocolate brown eyes and hair. Her figure was slim and fair with thin shaped lips.

" Then can I ask a question?"

" What question?"

" Your hair...is it natural?"

 " Natural?" I frowned " I was always like this."

" Woah!" The other omegas surrounded me immediately and even Eric joined in.

" It's really long."

" I don't think even I can maintain my hair like this."

 " We forbade him from cutting it." Xavier smiled " Lucien's hair something we all envied, so we forbade him from cutting it and during our free time, we always torture him by braiding the hair and designing it with twigs."

 I glared at Xavier. What has he been saying behind my back?

 " Is it okay if I touch it?" Eric asked.

 I couldn't say no to a male omega, female, probably, but I can never reject a male omega, so I nodded.

 Eric grinned and walked forward while picking up a few strands of my waist length hair.

" It's really smooth. And silky. And extremely soft. Damn I'm jealous!" they all laughed at his compliment and I couldn't keep a straight face.

 " Can I ask a question?" Dylan came forward.

" Sure."

" The day I brought you two back, I happened to see your brother's tattoo. You're from Dark Moon right?"

 The room went quiet and I immediately sensed Xavier's pheromones burst forth with anxiety. So this is what Nyx meant by not being able to control it.

 Anna was holding on to my right-hand, so I dragged Xavier towards me with my left hand.

" Yes we are." I replied plainly " Not very proud of it, but it's the truth."

 " Dark Moon Pack?"

" The one situated in the west?"

" I'm pretty sure there's just one Dark Moon Pack. Stop asking such a dumb question."

 " Control yourself vier." I ignored their reaction and tried to get Xavier's pheromones under control.

" Don't get me wrong, we have nothing against you." Dylan said " I was just curious cause you're both far from home. No matter the rivalry going on between the two packs, it lies with the Alphas. It has nothing to do with us pack members so don't get me wrong."

  I stared at Dylan for a while before nodding. I didn't fully believe him but Nyx said the same thing. It should be fine. I turned towards Xavier who had already reined in his out of control emotions.

 " Let me show you to your room." Eric offered " You must be tired."

 " Thanks." I followed behind him with Xavier.

  We went up the stairs and Skipped the first floor and went to the second floor. Even though I was eager to stay alone, I knew Xavier couldn't sleep without me, so we got to stay in one room.

I was awed when I saw the large bed and spacious room. The bathroom was separated from the toilet and there was a closet filled with winter wears. The room was painted dark blue much to my liking.

" I'll take Anna with me." Eric said " you two can come down for dinner later in the day."

Xavier and I have staying here for a week now and I still haven't gotten used to being stared at.

  Anna has been going around the pack and telling everyone about the 'fairy' who's staying at the park house. Wolves had been visiting the pack house a lot lately, under the guise of coming to visit their pack members.

I decided it was best to stay in my room rather than sit in the living room and trying to ignore their piercing gazes.

 The other reason they've been visiting is cause it's Christmas in a few days and Nyx wants the whole place decorated with lights and bells. It's the first time I'm seeing something like this so I couldn't rein in my curiosity and ended up joining them.

Though everyone's extremely nice to us, only a fool will let down his guard in an enemy's pack. I got to know most of them and we eventually got along. They always recount tales of their high school days and how happy they are that they get to enter a college in the human city after the holidays.

 Xavier and I couldn't relate to any of them but we still listened and commented once in a while.

 I thought everything was gonna go smoothly till Xavier and I leave. How wrong I was.
