Next day,
I screamed as I stood up, “What?!”
I closed my eyes to control my break down, “NO… you can’t make me attend
any dinner when I said I want to say unknown… If I wanted fancy dinner then I
would have been same as Ruth,….. Dad… and you all don’t like me then why you
need me to attend the dinner…”
Dad said on the phone, “this is the reason why no one likes you, it’s
not our fault. It’s your… we just ask to attend a dinner with us, but see you
are rejecting. Grays are really important, your grandfather asked us the
arrange dinner …. What will they think if you were absent? You are still the
part of the family… it’s your duty…”
I scoffed and said, “NO… you can’t make me come… and whatever I am… on
my own will… I am not coming there to get humiliated.”
Dad sounds more angry, “Just get yourself here tomorrow evening… this is
order.. and your grandfather supports you, you should come for him this time…
he is really concerned about the deal….” The call ended… I scoffed. Is this how
you talk to your daughter? If it wasn’t for grandpa then I would have cut ties
off with them…
But dinner with Grays, but I don’t want to go. Edwin Gray will be there,
he is really pervert.
Ron called me, I answered it trying not
to show my distress. He said, “Hey.. my
lovely, let’s grab some coffee together…”
I was sitting in Ron’s restaurant, still worried about the dinner. Ron
placed the coffee in front of me and asked, “Babe… what is wrong? You look
stressed…”
I sigh and said, “Dad asked me to come over for a dinner with his
friends.. I don’t want to go home… I
don’t like to be there….”
Ron grabbed my hand and said, “Babe… the only way you can be good with
your parents is to give them time..… I know this is hard but I also know you
won’t be happy till you fix this…”
He smiled at me lightly, “But… I will be ok if you don’t go… I don’t
want you to cry….. and it’s just a dinner right, so it won’t be a big problem…”…
