Chapter 19- It's her?

'Dad '.

Rae started panicking, did they find out that she and Jae sneaked out? Jae's face was blank as well, hesitant after seeing the caller ID. What do they do now? Sneak back in? But they need to answer the call...

"Just pick it up, Rae. I'll answer it." Jae says and brushes his hair a bit, he made up his mind that he's taking Rae back to the party asap before anyone finds out they're missing. Someone already did.

"But-t...they'll find it suspicious if we don't answer it, give it to me." Rae starts, but Jae takes the phone from her hand, clicking the green button which indicated that he's answering the call.

"Hello? Rae, what took you so much time?" His dad asks in a cold voice. He never called her, even if he did Rae didn't bother to answer him.

"Dad, it's me." Jae says with a small frown after knowing the way he talks with Rae. Sigh, the both of them will never talk normally, will they?

"Oh...where are you both? We need you here right now." His dad softens a little bit after learning that his son was speaking. Rae lets out a little squeak after listening to her father's words. Damn it, they need to get back.

"Um, sure dad, mind if we take a little while? We lost our way as the place is quite huge." Jae says, making his lie seem as convincable he could make it. He hears a small mumble from the other side.

"Fine, be here soon." His dad says, sort of convinced as he trusted Jae. It was pretty stupid to get lost, but the hall was quite large after all.

"We need to go." Jae orders, grabbing Rae's hand as they move to his car. He starts the car while Rae wears her seatbelt, her mind clogged.

This whole damned world sucks.

Just why are the needed? That too in a place where Kami rested- everything always seems to point at him. Her parents' sudden call was surprising as well, though not surprising, more like suspicious.

If it some new thing about their buiseness, Rae will literally slap everyone present there. Her brain can't intake so much of useless stuff. She wondered as Jae rode the car pretty fast, they reach the small exit thingy they used to run away from not after too long.

Thankfully, the gaurd wasn't paying alot of attention to that particular area. It wasn't surrounded as there won't be any people entering the place so late.

They made a small noise on the other side of the door. The gaurd got distracted and went to check on that area, while the both siblings sneakily enter back.

Thank god, they didn't take alot of time. Their dad didn't call them yet which meant he isn't impateint at the moment. They quickly reshuffle their look one last time, brushing their outfit and such, as they once again make their grand entrance.

The first person Rae saw was Kami. Great.

Even though she saw him earlier, she took a better glance at him now. His hair was brushed over his forehead, different from his usual everyday hairstyle, not to mention his attire which created a whole different ambience around him.

She tries to ignore him but it is just.....too hard.

"Dad's there." Jae whipers to her, the both of them silently walk towards him. Rae felt uneasy at the sight of her parents. She still didn't recover from the incident which she had a few months ago now. (A/N: Rae's past is NOT fully opened up right now.)

"Finally here." Her mom says, who was standing next to Mr. Kim. She takes a look at the siblings and holds a dubious face, as she suspected that the both of them weren't present in the hall. Nonetheless, she didn't really care.

"Fine, Rae, come with me." Her father says and takes her hand before she could even reply him, he took her straight to the centre of the chamber. She felt nervous as he tugged onto her hand.

But another astoundishing thing happened-

Her father called Kami as well.

Now, the three of them stood there, two of them knew what exactly was happening, while the female was trying on how to not get a panic attack.

The young male, who is usually cool at such times, felt anxious as well. He quietly examined the situation he got himself in

"I'll declare the most great news now! The partnership which was made between our two very respectable families is actually a marriage alliance." Mr. Kim speaks through the mic, every person there was stunned at the revelation.

'What's that supposed to do with me?' Rae thinks to herself. She already knew there was a marriage, she didn't really mind about that. It was common between them.

"So, my daughter, Kim Aurelia, will be marrying Min Kami, the successor of our future company! Invitations will be sent!" Her dad announces with a rather delighted tone. Squeals were heard from the crowd, as they all turned over to glance at Rae. Though, her brother stood there, horror flashing in his eyes.

"So this was the girl he was talking about?"

"She's pretty, but why that face?"

"They'll make a great match!"

It all strucked in now.

Rae is marrying him. She's the one marrying.

Though, no matter how calm she tried to be in front of everyone, she felt the urge to cry.

It all seemed like a dream. Not a dream, a nightmare. Everything was seemingly destroyed ever since she heard her dad.

She didn't even have any expression on her face, she tried to convince herself that it was fake, she'll wake up soon when her annoying alarm goes off. She lets out a small 'what the fück, why won't you ring.'

Though, that moment never came.
