Chapter 12- Fired

"Nice to meet you, Miss Kim." The guy working on the computer stands up and greets her with a smile.

"You too, Mr. Wang." Rae smiles back and raises her hand to shake hands with him, as a gesture of formality.

"Please take a seat. You are quite young though, its aspiring to see writers you like you." Mr. Wang remarks at her, it first he didn't expect that the author of the novel he liked is actually only a teen.

"Thank you." Rae accepts the compliment and nervously sits on the chair to talk further about their topic.

"As you see, I am pretty interested in selling your novel in my shop. It already gained alot of readers online though, it deserves to have a paperback version as well." Mr. Wang exclaims, he was a silent reader of her novel online as well, he loved her work and contacted Rae through the comments, asking her if she was interested in selling it on paperback.

At first, Rae was all conscious about the offer, it was the first time she got such an offer. She thought of declining it as she regarded it as a fraud, but after much pleading and talking with Mr. Wang, she agrees. Actually, she yet didn't completely agree yet.

Rae browsed about the bookstore before deciding to meet the owner, it seems that the bookstore wasn't bad and it featured quite a few stories which were used to be available online exclusively. Of course there are alot of better options, but she can't let the offer go. A small step can help achieve the big ones.

But to satisfy herself, she decided to visit the store manager. The visit was worth it.

Rae nodded at his words, he talked about the profit she will earn by selling it on a bigger platform, as most people prefer the paperback copies instead of online. She will get full credits of the novel, the shop will be serving as the source of it. He talked more about it and how he is a great fan himself.

Welp, one thing is for sure.

This guy talks alot.

Not complaining though, Rae liked his cheerful and comfortable attitude. At last, she agrees on selling her novel, which they will talk on about next time as Mr. Wang had a meeting with someone. Rae exits the store after saying a small goodbye to Mrs.Baek and Mr.Wang.

She gleefully skips her way to the school, not bothering about anything else.

Finally, she is one step closer to becoming a writer. With anyone's support. Just her.

She felt proud on herself, that she survived a those insults from her parents and the stupid situations that kept on disturbing her.

Stupid situations like Kami and Suho.

Speaking of it, it's been long since she talked with them. She talked with Kami the last time when they got a punishment in Math class and Suho? She doesn't even care about that.

She became good friends with Aviva and Sehun though, she is glad that they always got her back in everything. But she wondered why Sehun acted all conscious with her. He always seems flustered and stuff, becoming nervous at times.

She was thinking and again the similiar scent of fresh flowers comes in contact with her, signalling that she reached school. As she promised, she decided to visit the garden.

She silently roams around it, admiring how the flowers were neatly planted, all leading to the shed kinda thingy in the middle. There was a pathway in between, for people to walk around.

She decided to go inside the shed and is surprised. There is a small sofa and two chairs, along with a small table, making it look like a place where people would chat and drink warm tea.

But that's not the thing which made her surprised. It's someone sleeping on the sofa.

And it's not any someone, it's Min Kami, the current crush of all the lovesick girls in her school aka her current bench mate.

"How the heck can someone decide to sleep here?" Rae mumbles to herself. The place was sure lovely and good to take a small nap on but yeah, it's still the school garden.

She moves over to his sleeping self, taking a look at him. He had kind of dark eyelids, making it obvious that he was sleep deprieved.

But that didn't hide his flawless face, his hair was ruffled over his forehead and his lips curved into a small pout, small snores escaping softly through them. Even though the guy was pretty of a snob, but he looked cute while sleeping.

Rae felt a strong urge to pat his soft hair, even if that might get her to trouble, but the probability of that was pretty much less as he was in a deep sleep.

She slowly moves her fingers through them, and it was just as how she imagined it to be; soft and cozy, untill reality strucks her and she remembers who it was.

She takes her hand away in hurry and decided to go back to her dorm before the cute monster wakes up. But it seemed like that small move she created resulted to some noise, instantly waking Kami wake up.

He stares at her with a clueless face, as if he got no idea how he ended up there. But Rae was a whole different matter. She was a panicky mess and was thinking of all the excuses she formed inside her head.

"Umm..I was just passing by and suddenly saw a small spider, I ran away and ended up with my hands patting you."

This is definitely not gonna work.

Before she could even say anything, Kami's hands grab her by her shoulders and pull her whole body down, below him. He murmers something and Rae was still processing all the events which were currently happening. He covered her, the place was small so it was all uncomfy and a bit too close.

"What the hell? Let go of me!" Rae shouts at him, unaware of the fact the he is still half asleep.

"Shut up, I don't like your presentation. You're fired." He says back.

Wait.

Is he talking in sleep?

Rae wanted to let go of him, and she does that but he pulls her back, as if she was a small pillow.

"Just stay like this for sometime." Kami mumbles. Rae wondered if he said this to her or to the poor guy he was firing. Nevertheless, she escapes from his embrace and puts him back to his current position, trying to not replay everything all over in her mind.
