Chapter 10- Birthday

"Oof, still not done?" Kami's eyes travel to Rae's notebook for the nth time. He liked teasing her during classes, just to be ignored later on though.

"What's your problem? Can't you focus on your sums?" Rae speaks with a frustrated tone, their teacher gave them some Math problems to solve, and Maths was definitely not her piece of cake. (A/N: Only math antis can respond to this statement ;-;)

"Tsk, tsk, already so agitated, let me help you out there." Kami responds with a smug look on his face, from what he learnt she hated Maths, and he didn't fail to remind her that. But he found it weird how comfortable he got around her, he doesn't mantain his usual cold aura when he is with her. He just needs to win her heart, he is pretty sure that he will suceed in it, as nO oNe can resist his chArm.

As his eyes go through her notebook, he becomes a little demented. Not by looking at her sums, by her rough book.

"Seriously, do you like your kpop guys that much?" Kami speaks in a disappointed tone.

"Thank you for your so called consideration, but no, I can do it by myself." Rae cuts him off with a cold look and hides her notebook. Kami could feel himself boil up. No one dares to deny him, he should be the cold one actually. Not to mention that she has been doing it ever since they met.

"Kim Aurelia and Min Kami, if I hear another voice the both of you will be standing outside." The teacher scolds them. Rae blamed Kami for that, though he couldn't care less about it. He already studied all the stuff they were teaching.

Mostly all of the teachers just let them go, like they treated them partially, and weren't bothered if they talked. All the other teachers were actually scared to offend them. But the Maths teacher was the opposite, her eyes were always on them.

All the students around them usually gossip about them, and looked at Rae as if they knew something she didn't. They aren't wrong actually, in fact Rae knows nothing.

"Mhm...when does your birthday come?" Kami suddenly asks her out of nowhere. His eyes staring at hers.

"Why?" Rae asks him a question, not bothering to answer his question first. The teacher just told them off and here he is with another odd question. He sure had alot of mood swings.

"Answer my question first." He replies, his eyes still fixated on hers, not wanting to break eye contact. She had chocolate brown eyes, really pretty to look at, but somewhere Kami could sense a string a sadness in them. As if they were asking for help. Just like him.

"21st October. Answer me now." Rae says and stares back at him, but she feels a little uncomfortable and breaks the eye contact.

"It was just a random question between friends." Kami answers noncholantly, little did she know that she will be getting married after her birthday.

"Don't friend-zone me." Rae scoffs at him, how can he even call their relationship 'friends' like bruh they are just benchmates.

"Then which zone you wanna go to? Girlfriend?" Kami answers with a small smirk, and recieves a 'what the hell ' look from Rae.

"You are a freaking pervert!" Rae whisper- shouts but too bad, the teacher was still eyeing them.

"Kami and Aurelia, please leave the class, your behaviour can't be tolerated anymore." The teacher shouts at them and Rae felt the urge to punch Kami, but she listened to the teacher without fighting back to save herself from the boring class.

"Happy now? We are getting a punishment, because of you!" Rae says as they exit the class, Kami didn't reply her and heads off somewhere else.

"Where's he off to now?" Rae mumbles to herself as she is all alone now. Well, staying alone was better for her rather than having him to accompany her.

"Are all the weapons transferred now?" Kami speaks through the transmitter, with a muffled voice. He was currently in the men's restroom, funny but there isn't a safer place than that.

"Yes sir, we will soon reach the headquarters of the West. After dealing with the heads here we can succesfully establish our base there." A guy answers him.

"Well done, after all of this shifting you all are allowed to come back here." Kami answers with a satisfied tone, he isn't even the real boss yet but he already got all people obeying and respecting him. Maybe this isn't as bad as he thought.

Just as he was about to exit the restroom, he saw Suho entering it. He even hated the sight of him now, after his betrayal he didn't trust him at all.

"Oh, look who is here." Kami says and Suho glances at him. Suho didn't like Kami either, he was interested in Rae, well mostly because she was Kami's fiancée.

"Shut up Kami, I am too busy unlike you, who is actually repeating school." Suho answers him directly and recieves a sigh from Kami.

"Hm...so you aren't free? Well then you should stop spying on Rae and get some free time." Kami says back, exposing him.

"What? Who said I am spying?" Suho answers with a shocked look. How did he know?!

"Come on, I'm not that stupid. I already warned you, stay away from her." Kami shoots back, he had a good mood at first but Suho spoiled it.

"And if I refuse to listen to you?" Suho says and earns a chuckle from Kami.

"Too bad, she still won't come to you, we are getting married next month, invitations will be sent." Kami says and Suho looks shocked, like how can he marry her so soon?!

"W-wait what? Are you serious she isn't even 18 yet- but she will be 18 on the 21st of the next month." Suho starts but gets cutted off by Kami. They will be married off soon so that further preparations can be continued without any delay.

But that also meant Rae had no chance to achieve what she wanted to do. No one bothered to ask, or even tell her.

"So I might as well say, keep trying just to fail." Kami says and just exits the washroom leaving Suho just like that.

"Damn, I need to think something fast." Suho says to himself.

also, I might as well mention that it's September in the novel, so Rae and Kami will be getting married next month (October) ^-^
