Chapter 8- The Backstory

Kami's head was filled with confusing thoughts, the traitor, Suho being suspicious, Rae being careless and many more. Not to mention the stress his dad has been giving him all day.

Kami was new to the dark side. Well not completely new, his dad was involved with this world ever since Kami was young. Its like a tradition passing through generations, the next heir no matter whether its a girl or a guy, will be involved in it.

Kami used to hate it at first, just the thought of killing people and doing illegal scandals brought shivers down his body. But now? He did it with not a flash of guilt.

He had to do everything asked for to complete his mission, heck, he even slept with alot of girls before, just for the mission.

He would actually like to go on missions, but this one isn't a mission, his whole life depends on it.

His dad forced him to marry Rae, and she is completely clueless about it. In fact Rae doesn't know anything related to her family, Kami, his family and what not. That's what got Kami's attention, she is completely innocent and not to mention pure.

KAMI'S POV-

~some years earlier~

It's midnight and I have been staying up as late as usual. Just admiring the night sky, I found that feeling the most beautiful thing ever. A cold wind passed through his body and he felt himself shiver. Even though in my world of hate and blood, didn't I still deserve love?

Everyone deserves love, but who actually gets it? Be it a small hug from your parent or just a "take care" from someone can be enough for him to melt his heart, but did I get it?

No.

I was lost deep in my thoughts when I heard soft whispers and shuffling downstairs. What is happening?

I slowly moved from my current position and sneaked down to see from where the weird voices were coming from. His parents should be asleep so what's the commotion about?

As soon as my eyes scanned throughout the room I regretted staying up till late.

I saw my dad kissing a woman, and it wasn't mom. His hands rested on the woman's waist and her hands on his arms. I saw all of it.

I felt a rush of various types of emotions inside me, anger, and the urge to scream and cry. I just saw my own dad cheating on my mom with another woman, I felt disgusted by the scene ahead and lost the little amount of respect I had for my dad.

~end of flashback~

AUTHOR'S/NORMAL POV-

On the other side, Rae was sleeping peacefully with no clue of what was happening around her. She just wanted to acheive her dream and show her parents that she is worth it.

-next morning-

Rae and Aviva made their way to their first class, since they were dormmates, most of their classes were together. But the class wasn't as usual, a new student entered the scene.

"Everyone, attention here, this is Min Kami, he will be studying with us here." The teacher spoke and Kami looked over and whispered something to the teacher.

"Lee Aviva, stand up, from today, Kami will be sitting with Aurelia." The teacher says.

"Wait what why me?" Aviva says.

"Do as you are told to." The teacher says and Aviva groans and takes her stuff to the bench behind.

Rae was dumbfounded. She was least interested in the new guy, why is he targetting her? He just seems like Suho's gangmate. And he looks older than all the students here, why is he in school right now?

"Hey, we meet again." Kami says as puts his bag beside her and starts to organize his stuff on the bench while Rae marks his facial features, no lies, he looked stunning. Small eyes, round face, well shaped jawline, his hair messy and plump lips. He caught her staring at him and she moved her face almost immediately.

"I know I am breathtaking but don't stare at me like that." He says and chuckles.

"Eh, who is staring at you?" Rae says.

"You." A playful smirk formed in his lips. Rae ignored him.

"Enough of chatting now, let's get to work." The teacher says.
