His boots echoed on the creaky wooden floor, signaling his presence. A man dressed in plain civilian clothes approached him, his footsteps deliberate and calculated.

Without a word, Taehyung nodded and followed the officer up the narrow staircase. The walls were lined with faded wallpaper, peeling away in places. At the end of the hallway, the officer led him into the last room on the left.
As Taehyung stepped inside, he was met with the gaze of four soldiers. They were dressed in everyday clothes, but the sharpness of their posture, the quiet power they exuded, made it obvious they were no ordinary civilians. Their military roots were evident—clear-cut hairstyles, taut bodies, and the unmistakable air of discipline that surrounded them.
The moment they saw Taehyung, all of them stood at attention and saluted. He was a known figure—young, decorated, and one of the most respected Captain of their generation. His presence commanded immediate respect.
Taehyung waved his hand dismissively, a slight furrow in his brow.

He walked towards the soldier who had called him here, his eyes locking with the man’s.

Another soldier chimed in, his voice tight with frustration.

"We are the members of Captain Yoongi’s batch. We seek justice for Captain Min Yoongi and Lieutenant Jimin, sir."

(eyes narrowed, his mind immediately searching for connections): "What do you mean by justice?"
The third soldier, a younger man with a haunted look in his eyes, spoke up.

"The higher-ups are suppressing our voices with their power and wealth. We’ve seen what happened to Captain Min and Lieutenant Park. No one dares to speak out because of the consequences. Some of us tried, but... it costs lives, like Captain Min’s."

Taehyung took the chip from the soldier’s outstretched hand, his gaze flicking between the men in the room. The tension was palpable.
The first soldier spoke again, his voice raw with a mix of anger and helplessness.

"We belong to one of the lower bases. No one cares for us. The funds they receive vanish into the pockets of the higher-ups, and we’re left with outdated gear, a crumbling barracks, and just enough food to get by. The training is a joke. No one takes us seriously. The higher-ups, the ones who are about to retire, have turned our base into a vacation spot for themselves. They’re living off the last remnants of their power, doing nothing but enjoying their retirement."

The second soldier shifted uneasily before answering.

The third soldier spoke with a mixture of sadness and anger.

"Captain Min and Lieutenant Park... they were targeted because of rumors. Rumors that they were involved with each other. We don’t know if it was true or not, but when the rumors started circulating, the higher-ups thought it was disgraceful. That’s when they started making their move."
The fourth soldier continued, his voice quiet but firm.

The room grew heavy as the fourth soldier continued.
