15. Accident

That paparazzi shook off Ryan's hand and ran away. Seeing this, Ryan also ran behind him. Mia was more confused by the situation so she also followed them.

That paparazzi was running in the streets and he was chased by Ryan and Mia. On the way, he bumped with many people but he didn't stop. He also got hurt in his legs but he was still running.

Everyone was shocked. Mia was not able to understand the situation. Her eyes were widened and her body was shivering. She was not even able to move an inch. Her eyes were fixed at his body which was lying at the road DEAD!

What happened? How did it happen? No one could think. Everything happened in a minute. After seeing the blood coming out from his body, everyone gathered near him and made a crowd.

Ryan was still standing there in the street watching the scene. His mind couldn't process what happened in front of his eyes. He then turned behind and saw Mia's condition. She was stunned by seeing the accident.

Ryan ran towards her and hugged her. He patted her back and tried to calm her down. He was not even able to control himself, how could he handle her? Tears were coming out from his eyes.

Mia was not able to hold herself but she still tried to stop her tears. After a few minutes, an ambulance came and took his body to the hospital. Ryan and Mia were still standing at the street looking at him.

Ryan was cursing himself for his loss. If he didn't chase him, this could not have happened. He must have been still alive. Now, his last hope was also lost.

He sighed and went towards a nearby shop. He buyed a water bottle for Mia and gave her. Her face was blank and pale. Ryan was not able to see her like this. He finally spoke to her.

"Mia!" He tried to divert her attention but she was still standing there like a statue. Her eyes were fixed at the place where the person's body was lying and her body was trembling. He shook her which made her look towards him.

He gave her the water bottle which she accepted and drank it. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. After calming down she spoke to him. "Ryan, it was my fault right? " Ryan was shocked after listening to her. He said, "What are you saying Mia? It was not your fault! "

"But he died because of me right. " Mia spoke looking away from him. "If I didn't call him and told him to meet here this must not have happened! If we didn't chase him! If we agreed to stop our investigation! If only I didn't find that post, this could have never happened! If... " Mia finally broke into tears.

Ryan grabbed her hand and made her face him. The pain, anger, frustration, fear could be seen in Ryan's eyes. He was somehow sad to see Mia's pathetic condition. His heart was not able to tolerate her suffering.

He wanted to kiss her but he stopped after remembering the fact that Mia still has no feelings for him. This was his biggest disappointment ever. He comforted her by hugging her again.

Ryan didn't know when he fell in love with her. He was worried about her. He could only think of her. He was growing closer to her but her heart was still the same. He wanted Mia to have the same feeling for him.

Afterall it was his first time experiencing this type of feeling. Love, affection, care, those feelings were not inside him. Everything was finished for him after he lost his mother.

But after Mia came into his life, his cold heart became warm again. He could never think that Mia would become a light for him to pull him out from darkness. But after seeing her suffer, He was more broken from inside than her.

Mia's head was resting at his chest and her hands were at the back of his waist. She was also hugging him back. She brought her hand towards her eyes and wiped off her tears.

She thought, 'I'm sorry Ryan. I could not love you. But finally, you fully trust me now right? I'm really sorry for breaking your heart but I have no choice. You are my only hope. Only you can make me reach my goal...'
