14. Danger

They waited for almost half an hour for the main person to come. But there was no sign of him anywhere. He was actually a paparazzi who clicked Charles' photos for some spicy news.

Ryan was running out of patience. He was tapping his fingers on the desk and massaging his temple. Seeing him impatient, Mia checked the time and place again and again. He agreed to meet them at the place half an hour ago but he was still not here.

Finally Ryan spoke out after getting annoyed. "Did you text him the correct place and time? Why is he not here yet? "

"He agreed to meet us here. He must be stuck in a traffic jam or else there must be some problem that's why he is late. " Mia touched his hand and calmed him down.

Ryan sighed and looked down. "Hope so. Let's wait for a few more minutes." "Hmm" Mia nodded at him and started waiting again.

After a few minutes Ryan saw a person whose face was hidden due to a mask and cap. He was heading towards them. Ryan got suspicious and told Evie about him.

"Is he the one? " He asked Mia. "Yes, he must be the one. " Mia finally felt a sense of relief. That person saw Mia and went towards her. He sat on the chair and removed his mask.

"So you were the one who clicked the photo right? " Mia asked him with great expectations. "Yes." He replied to her. They both were glad after listening to a 'Yes' from him. He was their only hope who could help them find the culprit behind Charles' death.

They asked him to tell everything about what happened that day and who was the person Charles was meeting with.

"Actually on that day, I was following a celebrity. I was there in the hotel to get some pictures of him for my news. I sneaked into the hotel and followed him till he went inside his room.

There was a rumor about that celeb having an affair with her crew member. That was a great chance for me to get some spicy news and earn a promotion at work. When he entered his room, I sneaked into the room beside him.

Fortunately no one caught me so I successfully got inside the next room. My plan was to enter his room by the balcony because both the balconies were attached together.

But my plan got ruined when someone entered the room where I was. I had no choice other than to hide behind the curtains. Thankfully no one saw me and I waited for them to go.

When I took a look at them, one person was the famous Mafia Don, Charles Reed. He was with two people standing beside him. He was having a meeting with someone. I tried to see the person with whom he was meeting him but I didn't recognize him.

He looked like a secretary of a powerful businessman. I probably saw him before but his face was not clear. I wasn't able to look at him properly due to the curtains. I didn't want to get caught so I stood there silently.

They were talking about some offer but then Charles suddenly got up and left the room. After leaving the room, the person with whom he was meeting was very angry. He called someone, and discussed with him about Charles.

I can say that Charles must have refused his offer, that's why that person was angry. He must have surely called his boss and told him everything. After a few minutes he left and I got a chance to leave from there. But I took a photo of them which I posted online. "

The paparazzi narrated the whole story to them. After listening to all that, Mia was sure that someone deliberately killed Charles and he was the one giving orders to everyone.

Mia didn't want Ryan to be more worried that's why she didn't tell him about the conversation between the General and 'that' person. She asked the paparazzi to tell what he heard about the offer he told.

"I can't tell you about the offer." The paparazzi told them hesitantly. He looked scared and his head was sweating. Mia noticed that and said," Don't worry, you can tell us everything. You can believe us, we won't let anything happen to you."

Mia tried to calm him down and speak the truth but he suddenly got up and put on his mask. "Sorry but I can't tell you that. My life is already at risk, I can't risk yours too. You are just college students. Don't look at these types of matters. Don't waste your time on this. Leave it! "

Ryan tried to stop him but he ran away. This made Mia more confused. 'This matter is not as easy as it looks. Something is surely hidden from everyone. I need to find out...
