12. Interrogation

Jasmine took Mia to a small office room where the interrogation was going on. The General called Mia to sit on the chair in front of him. He was sitting on a couch and staring at her with curiosity.

He was a 3-star general. He had 2 officers standing behind him. He commanded Jasmine to leave the room but she was hesitant to leave. Then Mia turned towards her and gave her an assuring smile.

She then nodded towards her and left the room. Now, in the room, there were only 4 persons left- Mia, General and his 2 officers.

The General looked at her from top to bottom and gave a smirk at her. She was feeling uncomfortable with him. He then broke the silence and asked her, "So you are Miss Mia Smith? "

Mia just awkwardly answered him with a 'Yes'. The General was secretly laughing at her by seeing her condition. He thought that she is also a weak girl like others so he didn't give her much attention.

He only asked her a few questions about the incident. By listening to her answers, he was self assured that she was innocent and had no relation with his death. Cause how can a weak girl like her can do this type of thing?

She was looking scared and weak. Just like an innocent girl. Anyone can be deceived by her innocent eyes and looks. But no one can know what her Evil Mind was thinking.

'Agh, so boring. Why is this pervert wasting my precious time? How many times should I tell him that I have no relation with this case. How can I kill a Don or Mafia Lord? Who can dare do this?

This person is surely not serious in this case. He must be probably sent by someone to erase the information about Charles' death. I'm 100% sure that someone is deliberately doing all this stuff. Or how can a 3-star rated general be incharge of handling this type case?

I have seen many crime cases and I'm more experienced in solving these type of cases than those stupid officers. I must find the real culprit behind this or else we will be the next target for them.'

After the interrogation, the General told her to leave the room. Then, the General took out his phone and called someone. The person picked up the phone and they started discussing the matter.

GENERAL: HELLO SIR.

???: DID YOU DO THE WORK I GAVE TO YOU?

GENERAL : YES SIR. I'VE MADE ALL THE ARRANGEMENTS. ALL THE EVIDENCE ABOUT CHARLES DEATH WILL BE REMOVED AND IT WILL BE REPLACED WITH FAKE EVIDENCE.

???: HMM. AND WHAT ABOUT THOSE KIDS?

GENERAL : DON'T WORRY ABOUT THEM SIR. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS THEN I'LL GIVE ALL THE BLAME UPON THEM. AFTERALL, THEY ARE JUST FEW STUDENTS. THEY WON'T DARE DO ANYTHING AGAINST US.

???: GOOD. I'M SATISFIED WITH YOUR PERFORMANCE. I'LL SURELY GIVE YOU A PROMOTION.

GENERAL: THANKS SIR.

???: JUST LET ME BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY, THEN I'LL BE THE OWNER OF THE RED DIAMOND. WHEN THE RED DIAMOND WILL BE MINE, I'LL RULE THE WHOLE WORLD. HA HA HA 😈

GENERAL: YOU WILL SURELY SUCCESS.

???: YEAH. BUT IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG, THEN BE READY TO GO TO HELL WITH YOUR FAMILY.

GENERAL: NO SIR, DON'T DO ANYTHING TO MY FAMILY! I'LL SURELY WON'T DO ANY MISTAKE.

???: YOU BETTER NOT. CAUSE YOU KNOW THAT IF ANYONE COMES BETWEEN ME AND MY SUCCESS, HE/SHE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE WHOLE WORLD. HA HA HA 😈

The General was scared and he was sweating. He took the glass of water from the table and drank it in a second. He calmed himself and relaxed his body.

He didn't know that someone was listening to their conversation from outside. 'Hmm, as I thought. Someone is surely behind all of this and he's not a simple person. He is surely someone who is very powerful. '

Mia was hiding behind the door, outside the room and listening to their whole conversation till that time. She was correct that their next target is them. She heard all the conversation between them because the phone was on speaker but she wasn't able to recognize the voice.

But she was sure that the person was a politician or someone who wants to be the next president of the country. She then secretly left from there and went to her class.

There were no classes today because the teachers were called for the interrogation. There were only a few students in the class who were discussing the case.

Mia took out her phone and notebook and started doing her research. She was sitting in a corner so that no one could disturb her. She was silently doing her work when she found something interesting...
