6. Interested In You

Mia asked him the third reason but he didn't reply anything. He gave her a slight smirk and walked away leaving her confused. 'What's wrong with him? I asked him the third reason but he didn't reply to me and just walked away?' she thought. She found his behavior strange.

After walking a little far, he stopped and turned back his head. He saw her confused face and said, ''Probably, I may be interested in you". He said with a smirk on his face and then he left. It was loud enough to be heard by her.

"Interested in me? " she thought. 'Did I heard correctly? What does he mean by it? Agh, sometimes he's really weird. Does he like me?'

" Hmm… Interesting huh? Well, let's see what you're up to." She said and went to her class. The class was quiet and all looked scared but Mia can still hear some gossips about her. She looked like a culprit in front of their faces.

She took a glance at her friends and went to her seat. She knew that this could happen. Afterall she exposed the Campus Devil and accepted her doing in front of all. She asked for her own death. Who knows what will happen to her, whether she will be dead or alive?

She sighed and concentrated on her book. Soon the teacher came and started the class.

'Good morning students. So today we are going to study about one of the most precious diamonds, The Red Diamond. Yes, that Red Diamond which is the world's most valuable diamond which is also rumoured to have the ability to control the world.

The Red Diamond's value is more than billions, approximately it's priceless. It was made a national treasure after its owner died because the owner of the Red Diamond can rule the whole underworld at his/her fingertips. It is currently kept in a high security place which is unknown. As per the information, it's last owner was unknown.'

Mia clenches her fist and holds her tears. Her eyes were red and her face looked like she was about to cry. 'I will surely take back the thing which belonged to me.' she thought. After finishing her class she went to the cafeteria.

When she entered the cafeteria, all the eyes were at her. They were gossiping about her and some of them even looked like they pitied her. Mia ignored them and took her plate of food and sat in the seat. All the students near her got up from their places and moved far away from her. No one wanted to sit near her.

Mia felt like her heart was shattered into pieces but she maintained her posture. She took her spoon and started to eat alone. Her friends watched her from far away but they were helpless. They couldn't do anything because everyone knows how dangerous Charles is.

Right now, Mia was alone but she didn't care about them and continued to eat her lunch. Suddenly, someone came and sat next to her. Mia was surprised so she turned her head and saw Ryan sitting beside her.

She was shocked to see him as he was the least one she expected to come. She was stunned for a second but then she regained her senses and focused on her food.

Ryan was amazed by her reaction. He didn't think she would give him such a surprised reaction. When she started eating, he thought that she was avoiding him so he spoke to her.

"What happened to you?" He asked her but she didn't reply. "Are you avoiding me? Are you angry with me because of my sudden confession? " As soon as she heard the word 'confession' from his mouth, she choked on her food.

"Wh... What d-do you.. mean by... ConFesSIoN? " She asked while drinking water. It was a very awkward moment for her. Ryan seemed lost when she asked that question. After a while, a smile came on his face which surprised Mia.

"You really didn't understand? I'm interested in you. " He said smiling at her. Mia had mixed feelings now. "I think you can call it love at first sight." Mia was more shocked after listening to him. She was lost in thought. But then she heard him laughing, she regained her senses.

"Did you really think that I fell in love with you? " He said, mocking her. Mia was pissed off but she felt kind of happy after seeing him smile. She shook off her thoughts and glared at him.

"Ok, ok I won't tease you. Actually, as you know, after you involved yourself with today's incident, you have become a threat to everyone around you. So, that's why no one is willing to be near you. You should have thought twice before doing anything."

"Why are you helping me then? You already took the chance to slander him, now you shouldn't care about me right. " Mia said coldly towards him. She can hear people gossiping around her.

"I already told you that I wanted to help you. After All, you can consider it as a favour from a friend." He told her calmly.

"Friend? Since when did you become so friendly? I heard that you were quiet and cold to everyone and always been alone. When did you start to make friends? " Mia said which made him frown.

"Hmm... You're really interesting." Ryan said and he got up from his seat and left. Mia felt his behavior was very weird and strange. How can a person suddenly change his personality? And how can someone help anyone who probably doesn't even know you? Something is mysterious about him. I have to know!

Mia also finished her lunch and left the cafeteria. When she was walking in the corridor, she could still hear people gossiping about her.

'Look at her! Isn't she the one with whom Prince Ryan was having lunch?'

'Yes. How can that be possible? He doesn't even look at us but he ate lunch with her? '

'Hey, she's the one who accepted that she's behind exposing the video. '

'Oh, right! It makes sense now. She must have been his scapegoat that's why he's caring about her. '

'Yeah, it's just compensation. After some time, he will surely get tired of her. '

'Yeah right!.. '

Mia was listening to their gossip. She smirked and thought, 'It looks like I am getting famous. '
