2. Shadow

As she was walking on the road, one her way she saw some people gossiping about something near a retail store. She decided to take a rest for a few minutes. She sat near a bench and started drinking her milkshake which she bought earlier. She was able to hear their conversation clearly.

"Hey do you know, the famous XX bank was robbed last night", someone said.

"Yeah, I saw it in the news." Another one replied.

"Nowadays, there are so many cases of robbery and theft. It is not even safe to live freely now."

" Hmm, you're right. We must be careful and alert even when we're walking in the streets. Who knows, what may happen next."

"Do you know, I have heard that the robber was none other than the most wanted thief- SHADOW. "

"Yeah, I've also heard some rumours about it."

"SHADOW ? Hey, wasn't he the one who stole the world's second most precious diamond, 'The Blue Diamond'?!"

"Yeah, I've even heard that no one has seen him till now."

"If no one has seen him, how can they tell that he is a man or a woman?"

"I think he is not a human only. He must be an alien or has some magical powers or something."

"Yeah, how can someone easily steal the most precious diamond which is worth billions and no one even found a single trace of him? It's Impossible!!" "He must be a Genius"

Mia was listening to their gossip and was laughing inside. She thought ' Haha! Alien? Like seriously? Nowadays people are watching so many dramas. What will an alien do with so much money and gems? Ugh! But one thing is correct, SHADOW is really a 'Genius'.

She found their gossip funny and left from there. After returning to her house, she changed her dress in comfy wear. She tied her hair back and started to cook her lunch.

After having her lunch, she went to her room and started to make her assignments. It was almost evening, she finished making her assignments and stretched her hand and yawned.

She took out her laptop and searched for something.

"Hmm... got it" She let out a playful smirk and started reading the information shown on her screen.

'Ryan Williams, son of Sebastian Williams. Age \= 21 years. Zodiac \= Pisces. Hair/eye colour \= brown. He is cold, kind, caring and doesn't like to talk to anybody. He won many prizes and certificates and is the top student of the country. His mother died when he was young. His father is rumoured to have many affairs with womens. After his mother's death, he became quiet and cold.

His father is the Chief General of the country who is assigned the duty to protect the Red Diamond, the most valuable, expensive and precious item of the world. It is the property of the government now. The one having The Red Diamond, has the power to control the whole Underworld, that's why most of the rich businessmen and political leaders have their eyes on it. It is now kept in a well secured chamber which can be opened by only Sebastian Williams and the President.'

"Hmm... Interesting. So he is the mysterious son of Sebastian Williams who never showed himself to others! He's quite mysterious… but charming. " A blush formed in her face unknowingly.

She closed her laptop and ate some Ramen and slept. In the morning, she woke up and did her morning routine. She wore a loose, pink colored, round neck top with a long circular flounce sleeve, and light blue jeans to go with it. She ate a veg sandwich with some juice and went to college.

When she arrived, she found the college bustling. She was confused so she looked for her friends to know why there was such a commotion. She found them sitting in a corner of the campus with a sad face.

She ran towards them and asked them what happened. "Oh Mia, you're here" Jasmine asked. "Yeah, but what happened to you two and why is the college looking very panicked? When I came here I heard many of them gossiping and all were in a hurry," said Mia while taking a seat next to them.

"Didn't you hear the news, " asked Sofia. "News? Which news?" Mia asked with confusion. She didn't have any idea what they were talking about. "Actually Mia, due to the robbery that occurred in the XX bank, it caused a huge damage to the country. The Chief General, father of Ryan, was blamed for it. As the police were not able to catch the thief, the government gave a warning to the General, " told Jasmine.

"Yeah. And now, the case of SHADOW is transferred to another General. His name is Steven Hans. He is a top-class detective of our country. Till now, there was not even a single case which he couldn't solve. Impressive right? " Sofia said with a smile but that smile soon faded away.

"But now due to the General, Ryan is being criticized by some citizens," she said with a sad face.

"Oh! But don't worry, I don't think he's someone who can be bullied easily. Let's not worry about that. We have to focus on our studies right." Mia convinced them and they both nodded in agreement.

A mysterious person, hiding near the pillars, was listening to their conversation carefully. ''Steven Hans? Hmm… looks like I got a new opponent" He said and an evil smirk formed on his face. He quickly escaped from there without being noticed by anyone.
