Chapter 20

Do my ears dare deceive me? Did he just ask me to move in with him? I’m completely awestruck by this, I don’t know what to say. As much as I’d love to, it's too dangerous now and knowing he’s the leader of the Caged dragon. With this terrorist attack that just happened, I don’t want to be alone but I have Bea and Gunther to keep me company. But being with Ace there’s just something different than being with anyone else. I have never felt this around anyone else but maybe being with him was the right choice.

We’ve only been together for a few months now, it’s too soon to be living together. I want to know more about him like his little habits, things he loves to do. I have never wanted to learn so much about someone like I do with him. “It’s a little too soon don’t you think?” I say with a slight giggle. Although I don’t want to move in and spend my life with him just yet, I do want to spend time with him.

“That’s okay,” he smiles even though I rejected his proposal. “Well let's get inside and talk!” He throws me over his shoulder and carries me inside, abandoning the people who brought us here. “Hey!!” I can't help but yell and laugh at the same time. “Let me go” I laugh hard enough for my stomach to begin to hurt. He sets me on the couch in a really big living room that has a projector, that I must say is quite expensive for the TV. There are three couches, one big one and two on the side that is loveseats. The room has a modern style, simple yet elegant. It seems to be well taken care of as well.

I like it. “So what do you do for fun?” I look at him with a smile on my face. “I usually play video games, want to play some?” how could I turn down an offer like that? “Of course! I love video games as you could tell when I beat your friend.” He chuckles, which is so sweet, it brings joy to my sad life. I can’t help but smile when he’s around. I don’t know why I would ever want to push him away. He’s so perfect. “I’m afraid to play Mario kart with you though, you’d beat my butt. I can’t even beat Jay!” I giggle, I won by luck but I won’t tell him that.

“How about we start a Minecraft world? Just for us to play.” He suggests a great idea. “Yeah, sure! I’d love to! We can do split-screen!” He smiles and puts the game in and hands me a controller. We enter our accounts and start a game. We build and survive together in a large, infinite world. We end up losing track of time and playing till night. In the mix of that, I began to learn more about him, he’s a total goofball. He loves to make corny jokes. Which I find cute, and when I got up to leave he hugged me and wouldn’t let go.

“How about staying the night, I have a spare room you can use. Please I get lonely.” he gives me this cute little puppy face that I just can’t help but fall for. “Alright, alright I’ll stay, Just let me message Bea and Gunther I’m staying with you.” After I text them Ace fixed up some delicious popcorn that we shared and we continued to play. At one point our hands met in the bowl. At that moment he neglected his controller on the couch and came to my side to kiss me.

 This time he let his tongue slide in, making the kiss deep and passionate. It takes me a bit to realize what’s happening and kiss back with the same amount of force. We were stopped by the sound of my character dying. He quickly got off me and I took care of the spider and zombie. By this point in the game, we had full iron armor and Iron gear. I had started a farm to keep us stalked up on food. We had built a cute little hut to keep us safe. After the kiss I felt my face stay constantly hot, I must be blushing extremely hard. The air felt awkward and tense.

It is not nearly 1 in the morning, and we are still up playing Minecraft. I felt my body grow tired. My head rests on his shoulder as I doze off. When I wake up I find Ace tight next to me. That was the best sleep I had ever had and Ace was with me the entire time. I wonder why he didn’t go to his room. I guess I’ll ask him when he wakes up. I sneak out of the room to make both of us breakfast.

When he wakes up and comes into the room I'm setting the table, putting plates filled with food down along with pouring glasses. “Not that I’m complaining but why didn’t you go to your room last night?” He yawns, sitting down at the table. “I had a nightmare about losing you so I went in there to hold I didn’t realize I would fall asleep.” I smile as I sitting down. “Well, that was the best night of sleep I have ever had. We eat and then I head home to get changed.
