“Lady Athena, I brought you your snacks.” Greyford placed the silver tray on the table by the window.

“Thank you, Greyford if you weren’t around I won’t even think of having a break.” Athena got up from her seat and moved to the table.

“You’re welcome my Lady, I’ve sent some food to master Lirius lab as well.” He explained as he assisted the girl to sit on her chair.

“Anyway, how’s your stay here?” She asked whilst taking a sip of her tea

“Thanks to you for helping us my Lady we have a better life here. My son is able to live with the woman he love at the same time you even allowed her sister to go to school and be Master Lirius's pupil.”

It’s been over three weeks now since that night yet the Baron has not sent anyone to look for Fuji nor wonder if they are still alive.

“I’m glad to hear that.” she replied, she then sighed as she removed her glasses and rub her eyes.

Whilst Greyford was pouring tea on her cup, he noticed the girl rubbing her eyes. “Is something wrong my Lady?”

“It seems my vision is much better without my glasses.” She put her glass on the table and grab the tea.

Greyford then greeted the girl. “If you need anything else my lady please do call me.”

“Before you leave, take the paper on my desk to Lirius…” She pointed on the piece of paper on her desk.

“At once, do excuse me.”He went to grab the paper she was pointing at and step out of the door.

It was not long when Lirius came storming inside the girl’s office slamming the door opened, “When did you figured this out?”

“What are you talking about…” Athena glared at him for yelling at her.

“This…” Lirius slam the piece of paper he asked Greyford to hand to him earlier

“Ah-”

“This is impressive, with this we can cure all type of poison.”

“I’m not sure yet that’s why I want you to test it…The fact most village don’t hold any healer or alchemist. I want our village to invest in making potions and herbal medicine. At the same time, I’m hoping it can cure the poison in my system.”

She is just a little girl yet she already thought about all of this. It’s been a couple of months already yet we still have not fully restore her body. Hopefully with this we can cure her.

“But you know some of the herbs you need aren’t found here.” He pointed out the different herbs that aren’t found in the area.

“I know, that’s why will be leaving for a couple of days.” She took a sip of her tea with an expressionless face.

“What?” Lirius collapse on the seat in front of her.

“Don’t worry, I have arranged everything already. Even if were away for a week of day or so the village will be able to manage itself.” She explained everything but that was not the point Lirius was worried about.

“Have you informed Serfred about this.” He asked

“No…” she replied whilst continuing to drink her tea.

“Then will you be taking him?” he asked

“No…” she answered, causing Lirius expression to pale

“Then am I coming with you?” he asked

“Yes.”

“He’s gonna go wild about it.”

“Yes.”

“Athena are you even hearing yourself…” Lirius raised his voice realizing Athena has completely forgotten the most important point..

“Why must you scream. Don’t worry, he has no choice but to stay here. If something is too happened to the village he is the person in charge to defend them. Of course, he’ll be mad about this, plus... he hates you the most.” She frowned as she sat back on her chair and crossed her arms around her chest..

“Oh-” Lirius quietly got up from his seat and left the room, realizing Athena has thought about everything already.

That evening, the whole house was in chaos.

“Why are you bringing this weakling and not me.” Serfred yelled as he punched the wall.

“Someone needs to watch over the village.” She answered avoiding her gaze from the man.

“I am your knight, I am supposed to be by your side all the time.” he sighed as he walked closer to the girl.

“The village isn’t strong enough yet to defend themselves from a sudden attack..” She explained why he must stay and the importance of him staying behind.

“Are you at least bring Fuji with you?” He sat down on the chair and given up on arguing with the girl.

“Of course, if I’ll leave him behind he might kill everyone in the village.”

“When will you be leaving?” Serfred sat proper as he looked at the girl

“Before dusk tomorrow.”

Moments later, Tycho arrived with the arrows Athena asked for him to make. At the same time, Lirius was busy packing all the necessary potion and material they need to survive the trip.

“Lance, have your prepared the horse.” Serfred continued to walk back and forth.

“Yes, I made sure they are well fed and prepared for tomorrow’s journey.”

“And the food…”

Master must be so worried for the young lady. This must be the first time she'll be going without him. I feel sorry for Master...

“Master, I have prepared everything, rest assured that Lady Tina will come home safely.” he comforted Serfred as he sense how worried he is for her.

It wasn’t even dusk yet when Athena woke up. She dressed herself up with the clothes she asked Diana to prepare for her.

It was a short dress running all the way between her tights, as she paired it with leggings and boots. She then covered herself with the coat Esme made which have beautiful embroidering on the edge.

As she stepped outside her door, Serfred was already waiting for her.

“You wish to send me off…”

I rather lock you up in your room but will that prevent you from doing what pleases you…

Serfred who looked gloomy smiled seeing how beautiful the girl was. “I wish for a different outcome.”

She reached out her hands to Serfred’s face as she pulled him closer to hers. “I shall return, make sure to keep things alive for me.”

He then got down on his knees as he embrace the young girl. “Take care my lady.”

Athena face was completely red when she did not see Serfred's action coming.

The moment could not have been so romantic until they heard a sudden cough from behind them. “We should get going.”

Serfred let go of Athena and glare coldly at Lirius who just came out of his room.

Why must this idiot ruined everything for me all the time.

Outside, Arthur, Gran, the priest, and some villagers all gathered as they waited for Athena with such worried expression.

As Athena step outside the house, she was surprised to see the people that all gather for her.

“Lady Tina, do take care.”

“My Lady come back soon.”

“My heaven bless you on your journey my Lady.”

Athena smiled seeing everyone all gather up and wishing for her safe return.

“My Lady your dagger.” Greyford handed the beat to her attached was her dagger.

“Thank you,” She said as she placed the belt around her waist, “Everyone, I’ll be back soon. Take care and make sure to protect our homeland.”

Serfred, then help Athena get on her horse. “My Lady please come back safely.”

“I shall..” she replied, “Lirius let go…”

As they rode their horses out of the manor, they soon passed by the village and to the farmlands as they reach the outskirt of the farmland, they soon approached the cross road Athena took which lead her to the village that night.
