I Finally Found You

It’s been a few days since Athena woke up, she been in deep thoughts wonder who the person was that time. She asked around if whether someone came to visit her during that time but it seems everyone didn't see anyone came in her room.

“Lady Tina, we’ve gathered everything.”

Athena turned to see who it was, it was one of the hunters of the village. “Let's go.”

As they were heading out of the forest, Serfred grab hold of Athena and what happened next surprised not only her but everyone else.

“Serfred what are you doing?” Athena started shoving herself away from the man to put her down.

“You just woke up a few days ago, your body is still weak,” Serfred replied ignoring the girl who was frowning at him.

“I’m too heavy, let me down..” She averted her gaze from the man as her heart started to raise.

“You are as light as a feather, you should eat more.” He smiled

"Arthur, are you seeing what I'm seeing right now?" Gran continued to tug on Arthur's shirt.

"..."

In the end, Athena gave up and wrap his arms around Serfred's neck. She soon recalls the time she was back home when her brother would carry her around as well. A single drop of tears then rolled down her face as she wipes it off.

“Something wrong?” Serfred asked noticing the tear on the girl's face.

“Nothing…”

When they returned to the village, everyone eyes were all focus on them. Everyone was all mute as they witness Athena fast asleep in Serfred's arms.

As they arrived at the Chief's home, Serfred slowly places her in the bed as they left her to rest.

Later that day, Athena decided to explore the rest of the village. She looked a left turn from the church wondering what's in that area. She ended up finding a run-down house. It was huge compared to the rest of the house in the village and it was made of stone and glass. As she steps inside the fenced gate, she senses strong magic wrapped around the house.

...I finally found you.

As she walked inside the house, it was dusty, the walls were all moldy and there were burnt marks as well. There were still some pieces of furniture around as well but not in good condition. She then continued to explore the whole house, it surprises her to see some parts were still in good condition. The house had a small library, a research lab, a kitchen and quite a lot of empty rooms especially upstairs.

A soon as she finished exploring the house, she headed to the back. She realized this is the only part of the village that actually has life and green around it. The back garden of the house was not as lively as she thought it would be, there weren’t a lot of herbs and plants growing.

She then notices a greenhouse and decided to check it out. As she was about to open the door, it soon opened by itself and she stumbled upon the person she been looking for.

Athena smiled seeing the person right in front of him, “Finally, I found you.”

The man was startled and was taken aback on the ground as the herbs he collects soon fell on the ground. “How did you…”

“You were the only one in the village apart from Serfred that has a strong aura,” she explained, as she started picking the herb on the ground.

The man snaps back to his senses as he soon started collecting the herbs again. “Why did you come here…”

“I wanted to thank you, for saving my life.” She handed the herbs she collected. “Here...”

“Thank you.”

“May I know the name of my savior,” Athena gave the man such angelic expression.

“Lurius, ” He got up on his feet after collecting all the herbs.

“My name is…”

“Athena, I know…”

“How did you...” Athena expression paled as she panic for the man knew who she was.

"Your eyes." He pointed at her two amber red eyes.

"..."

"Don't worry about it, I won't tell anyone about who you are."

Athena Calaxed knowing that the man in front of him show no sign of any malice in his aura. "Is this your home?"

“No, this house belongs to my master but he was killed during the war whilst protecting the people in the village." Lurius showed such upset expression on his face whilst telling Athena the story.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” Athena softly replied

“How are you feeling?” Lurius looked at the girl who seems to have color back on her cheeks.

“Thanks to you I’m much better.” she smiled, “Your home is beautiful, especially this garden”

“You are welcome to stay here if you like.” Lurius unexpectedly declared.

“Really?” Athena's eye widen in surprise.

“I mean, wouldn’t it be best if you stay with your knight since someone is trying to kill you. If you stay in the village you might end up getting them all worried for you.” Lurius explained noticing the girl in deep thought which he found amusing.

“I see your point there…” Athena replied as she thought about what Lurius said, “In that case let me thank you for helping me last time and for giving me a place to stay.”

Athena then closed her eyes as she focuses her energy, soon her white aura covered her entry body as the sparkling glow of light soon came around the garden.

Lurius was amazing to what he was seeing, he did not expect Athena would be an Elementalist. He has expected her to be an Alchemist just like him. As he continues to observe what Athena was doing, he soon notices the burnt trees that were dead for a long time soon bear leaves and flowers in them.

After a while, Athena slowly collapses from exhaustion but was caught in time by Lurius.

“You're an…” Lirius wish to say but didn’t bother, he senses that the girl in danger because of who she it. As he looked at the girl, she was asleep already.

Athena was startled when she woke up, she turned around and saw the bright moon on the sky.

...Everyone will sure be panicking wonder where I went.

“You're awake?”

Athena turned around to the door, as she heard it opened. She was taken aback by Lurius current appearance since he didn’t have his cape on. Despite the small scar on his face, he looked so handsome. “How long was I unconscious?”

“Just a couple of hours,” He sat down beside the girl as he checked on her condition.

“I should head back, for now, they didn’t know I left.” She pushed the blanket aside.

“Can you walk?” Lirius stood up.

Athena nodded her head as she got up the bed, but her knees gave in as she collapses on the ground. “I guess not.”

In the end, Lirius carried Athena on his back. The fact his house was on the other end of the village, it was quite a long way before they could reach it.

Halfway along the way, Lirius stop with confusing Athena.

“Is something wrong?”

“Lady Tina,” Serfred yelled as he runs with Fuji towards them. As he was closing in towards the people in front of them. It surprised him to see the person on the back of the man. As he glared at him. “Who are you?”

“And you are?” Lirius looked at the man not caring for who he is.

“I am her knight…” Serfred answered with such fiercely tone.

“I can see that, so can you put the sword away,” Lirius used a small force of wind magic to push the sword aside.

“Fred, put your sword down. He's the one who saves my life.” Athena yelled

Lirius put Athena down as she went down on her knees and Fuji jumped on her. “Were you worried for me.” She started petting him and added, “How did you find me, Fred?”

“Fuji did,” Serfred smiled please of how Fuji was able to locate her.

Lirius was surprise to see the cub Athena was holding onto for it was not an ordinary cub.

...A Twilight Wolf, didn’t expect such animal to be with such a fragile girl. She too weak to even tame one and it's a pup which is at his deadest stage.

As Athena got up from the ground, “Serfred, this is Lirius an Alchemist. Lirius my knight Serfred.”

Both men did not greet each other but instead scanned each other for there potential as a man and as her protector.

“You can call me big brother,” Lirius said

“Why should I, I’m already 19…” Serfred yelled and stared coldly at Lirius.

“A year in gap, so call me big brother.” Lirius continued to insist.

As the two continued to quarrel, Athena could not help it but laugh at the sight of them. Both men stop ashamed how they were acting, but was pleased to see the smile on the girls face.

That evening, not only did Athena found her saviour but another person who can help her restore the village back to it peek. At the same time, she sense something odd about Lirius how he knows about her identity since he never been to the Empire.
