House Adolphus

...It’s been a few days since I woke up. From my observation, I am the only daughter of House Adolphus, my father is one of the three dukes in the country as well as a commander of the second battalion of the empire army. Not only that, my mother is said to be related to the royal family of another country. I have an older brother named Noah, who is a member of the royal knights and the commander of a battalion as well.

From what I learned House Adolphus is the most powerful Dukedom family apart from the Grand Duke in the country.

The old lady who is brushing my hair right now is my wet nurse named Silvia, she explained everything to me, what happened and how I accidentally fell to the lake which almost causes my life.

But from what I recall, the previous owner of this body did not fell on the lake but she was pushed into the lake by other noble ladies. Of course, they did not tell the truth and I do not have proof as well about the event. I understand why they did it. Since I was engaged to the crown prince, I was there biggest treat in winning the prince's heart.

From what I learned with the previous owner memory, she is engaged to be married to the crown prince. However, the Queen does not wish for his son to marry me because I am weak and powerless. However, because I was prophecied by his Holiness to be a Saintess, they grab the opportunity...

“Silvia, where are mother and father?” Athena asked

“They are all waiting downstairs for you, as you know…" she sighed, "They’ll be leaving again since they need to help with the drought in the south and the war is still going on,” she explained

...From what I heard from the servant, my father and brother were sent to war in the south. The war isn’t over yet but since there are people living there my mother needed to come with them. Since my mother is a powerful Elementalist, she is able to bless the ground and bring it back to life making it possible for life to grow again.

The world I live in may lack the advancement of devices and technology but they have magic which helps them. However, everyone does not possess magic at all but they said nobles are capable to possess magic because of there bloodline. But I was the first to not show any kind of magic at all.

“My Lord, my Lady the Young Lady wishes to see you.” the servants said knocking on the door.

As he opened the door, I slowly walked towards my parents. They have shown me so much love than my real parents that I cannot hold my emotions in seeing them.

“Mommy, must you really go?” Athena said as she jumps into her mother's arms.

Lady Adolphus was beauty indeed, she has golden brown hair and emerald green eyes.

“I’m sorry Athena, but there are thousands of people who need my help right now.” She explained as she comforted the young girl.

Athena did not say a word and looked at his serious father who was seated at his chair while drinking his tea.

Lord Adolphus was terrifying and cold, he always had this expressionless expression on his face. His aura was just so strong that it felt like winter all the time.

“Come…”

The girl let go of her mother's embrace and walked slowly towards his father, as she approached him tears came running down her face.

It startled the man to see such sorrow in his daughter's face, “I-”

“Papa!” Athena cried as she collapses in his father arms.

Everyone in the room was dumbfounded, never in there life have they’ve seen Athena cried nor show any sign of affection towards her parents. They always thought she was an aloof child who dares not show any affection towards anyone nor show her emotion in the open.

“Please, Papa…” she continued crying

It surprises the servant for the Young Lady sudden change of character since she woke up she was more lively and energetic. They would all worry that sooner or later she might collapse again. Even the stern father became soft towards his daughter.

“My Lord, the Young Master has arrived.” The old butler said

As the young man steps inside the room, he was taken aback to see most of the servants were in tears. When he saw the reason to everyone tears, he smiled at the same time his heartache of the thought he’ll be leaving too.

When Athena saw his brother step inside the room, she got up and run towards him, “Brother, please don’t go.”

“Now stop crying already, you’ll end up sick if you keep crying.” he comforted her

“But the thought of you all leaving me will make me sick...” she cried

“Now don’t cry, I have a gift for you…” he smiled

As Athena ease herself down, a soldier walked inside the room holding onto a big present. “Is this for me.”

Noah nodded his head as he presents the gift to her.

Athena slowly removed the ribbon and opened the lid, when she saw what was inside, tears started rolling down her face again. Inside was a white cub with bright sky blue eyes, it’s fur was as soft as cotton. As she slowly lifts the cub out of the box, it startled everyone.

“Noah-”

But before they could say a single word, they stop when they saw there daughter loving expression as she embraces the cub. However, they were still worried since it was not an ordinary cub by the Twilight Wolf.

A Twilight wolf is indeed a good company. The head of House Adolphus and his son owns one as well as some of their knights. They are powerful creatures which are an amazing companion when hunting. But they have a bad nature to attack even their own master if that person is not stronger than the creature.

“Are you pleased?” Noah asked

“Yes.” she smiled

“Then what shall it be called?” he asked

“I shall name you Fuji,” she replied

“Fuji?”

...I’m sure everyone wonders why I named it Fuji, but back in my world. I once traveled to Japan and saw Fuji mountain, if you are lucky enough you’ll see the mountain not in green but in blue and white snow on top of it.

“Master.” The old butler said

Athena held her tears as she places the cub back inside the box, she then gave everyone a proper greeting as she held her tears and pain, “I’ll pray for your safe return, Father, Mother and Big Brother."

They then each embrace the girl as they all headed out of the house.

Outside a carriage awaits them and a small group of soldiers.

"Take care Athena," the woman said as she got inside the carriage.

Athena waved her hand in the air as she walked them headed on their way.
