"Ah- Lirius it hurts." Athena screamed in agony.

"Lirius what the heck is going on didn't you say this is the only way to save her." Serfred grab hold of Lirius by his collar.

"This will work she just needs to endure all the pain..." Lirius anxiously replied not knowing if what he did will actually save or kill the girl

As Athena continued to scream in agony, Fuji aura resurfaced as the place soon turned cold.

"Lirius..." Serfred stared at the man worried seeing what was happening.

A couple of hours before all this happened...

Lirius was busy working in his lab as he took a quick break and removed his glasses.

I've used all the enchanted plants and material that should restore her aura yet none of them are working on her. Is it because she a Saintess that it does not work.

Moments later someone came knocking on her door.

Athena came walking inside the room bring a tray of snacks and tea. "Lirius I made you some tea."

When Lirius turned around, he saw the girl bring some food as well as Fuji walking behind him. Seeing the cub to be at ease and tamed despite Athena aura has completely disappeared he wondered why he hadn't killed her yet.

Then it stuck him...

Impossible, could Fuji be the reason why Athena's aura is not restoring. Could her bond with the cub be the reason, why not a single one of the potion or elixir are worked since Athena did not lose her aura at all it just been transferred to the cub.

"Athena, how long have you had Fuji for?" Lirius asked with such a hopeful expression.

"I'll be three months soon that I had Fuji, why?" Athena was curious why Lirius suddenly ask such question.

"Athena what do you know about Twilight wolf?" Lirius asked pleased that what he expected was right.

"Twilight wolves are familiar of House Adolphus and other noble families. They are good for hunting and bring along in battle, they will only serve one master and will only share a bond with that master which means they also..."

Athena was taken aback as she realized something.

"Share the same aura." Lirius smiled seeing Athena realized it as well.

Athena was dumbfounded and could not believe it. "Are you saying I'm sharing my aura with Fuji?"

"He is still a cub and need your aura to grow. I was wondering why he was growing at such a rate, while you been so weak lately, it just means he been draining your aura from you which could only mean he has acknowledged you as it master." Lirius explained

"So what should we do?" Athena wonder for she hope she can have her aura back.

"I'm not sure yet but I think I know a way to return your aura at the same time continue to feed Fuji the necessary aura he needs to grow." Lirius grab a book by the shelves as he looked for something.

"What are you looking for?" Athena asked, seeing Lirius grabbing a couple of books.

"The formula for the magic circle."

"Magic circle?" Athena wondered why he needed to use such method.

Magic circles are used in order to enhance a material or weapon. They are mainly used by Alchemist or Forgemen in order to use different enchanted materials into a weapon or artifact. Using such spell is dangerous and are only used by top rated Alchemist or Forgemen since it uses a lot of mana at the same time it can kill once life.

"I recall my master teaching me a magic circle before that help enhance a user and it weapon. It was more of a curse spell which no one hardly knows about..."

Hearing Lirius explained about the magic circle made Athena wonder who Lirius master is to know such spell and to teach it to him as well.

"Get some rest for now, I'll do the necessary preparation and inform you once it done." Lirius patted the girl on the head as he went back and search for the book he was looking for.

Athena moved forward towards the door and took a last glimpse at the man before closing it.

Lirius why do I feel you have more secrets than me? Who really are you and who is your master?

As nightfall came Athena was laying on the ground outside anxious to what's about to happen.

"Lirius are you sure about this?" Serfred asked, seeing the magic circle around Athena.

"This will work, just stay back and whatever you do don't come close at all. Since your aura isn't that strong that you might hurt yourself." Lirius explained carefully as he continued to draw the magic circle and the detailed symbols.

"Serfred, don't worry... I trust Lirius and I'm sure he won't do anything to harm me." Athena smiled despite the millions of butterflies in her stomach all flying around.

"Stay back and whatever you do don't come any closer or cross the line." Lirius icy stared at Serfred knowing he might actually cross the line if something is to happen to Athena.

"Fine..." Serfred fold her arms and cross them in front of his crest.

Lirius then started chanting the spell of enchantment. As the magic circle started to glow, limineux appeared all over Athena's body.

Serfred was surprised to see the vast lumineux coming out of Athena's body...

What the heck is going on? Why are there so many lumineux coming out of Athena's body. Aren't lumineux sign that spirit are leaving in the area. Does that mean the spirit's are leaving within her?

Then all of the sudden, both Lirius and Serfred expression paled as to what happened next.

Athena started coughing blood and bloody tears rolled down her face.

At that moment, both Lirius and Serfred started arguing.

"Lirius..." Serfred yelled

Lirius looked at the man and sense that he was about to do something stupid. "Don't you dare?"

Serfred ignored Lirius as he stepped over the line but before he could go any further strong winds blasted him away. The man then ended up unconscious on the ground.

"Lirius, it hurts..." Athena cried in agony as she twist and turn her body from the pain she was feeling.

"Calm down, it's almost done." Lirius explained seeing the enchanted circle was halfway vanishing off the ground.

"I can't it hurts..." Athena continued to cry as she was all covered in blood.

Darn it! Why is her body so weak, I'm sure the poison was cured last time… Wait? Don't tell me her whole body is filled with different poisons which is why she dare not let me take her blood.

Moments later, Lirius no longer heard the girl cry and saw her stone cold on the ground. As the magic circle completely vanished, Fuji quickly run towards Athena with such malice intention.

"Get lost!" Lirius blasted a fireball towards Fuji who started growling at him.

Despite Fuji has acknowledge Athena as his master that fact the girl lost all her aura now means she is just a meal for Fuji.

"Athena wake up." Lirius grab the girl and carried her in his arms.

Athena slowly opened her eyes and was surprise to Lirius sudden change in appearance. "Your hair..."

Lirius watched as the girl breath her last breath. "No! Athena wake up... Don't you dare go to sleep on me."

Lirius panic as a tear rolled down his face. "This is all your fault."

Why didn't you tell me you weren't only poisoned once. I could have helped you, why must you burden yourself when you can barely hold yourself.

Lirius took a deep breath as he bit his thumb, he then draw a symbol on the girls forehead. It was in a shape of a flame and a lotus flower. He then started chanting another enchantment as his blood soon vanished and turned into a mark on the girls forehead.

A soon as Lirius was done chanting the enchantment he too lost his conscious.
