Let's Go Home

What have I done? I actually killed Athena... I was sure the spell would work if only her body was not so weak. sigh My head hurts, I must have fallen unconscious after using too much mana on the magic circle.

As the man slowly opened his eyes, he was blinded by the bright ray of light making him unable to clearly see the silhouette in front of him. He reached out his hand to cover his eyes and as his vision became clearer a single tear rolled down his face.

"Your alive."

Athena smiled seeing Lirius was finally awake. "Good morning."

Lirius sat down as he grabbed the girl in both shoulder checking if whether he was dreaming or not. "Am I dead too..."

Athena chuckled hearing Lirius's ridiculous remark. "Then does that mean we're both in heaven?"

Lirius did not hold back as he embraced the girl tightly. "Athena, I'm sorry... I've almost killed you."

"It's fine, I'm alive thanks to you. I'm sorry, I never told you my body was still poisoned."

"It doesn't matter as long as your fine."

Lirius pushed the girl aside as he gazed into her, he noticed something different about the girl's appearance. "Your hair?"

"I noticed it as well when I woke up." Athena grab the strain of silver-white hair.

"It's beautiful." Lirius smiled as he grabbed the strained of hair and kissed it.

Lirius I just woke up, why did you have to do something like this. Darn it! I feel like my heart about to explode again.

Athena grab her hair away from Lirius hand, as she quickly stood up to avoid Lirius from noticing her flushed face. "We should go check on Serfred."

Ah- he's gonna kill me once he wakes up. I did blast him away, almost killing him. Whatever, it's because his too weak.

"Lirius hurry up." Athena turned around wondering why the man has still not stood up.

When they saw the man who was still drifting off to rest, Lirius casted a water spell dropping a ball of water onto the man face causing him to woken and scream.

"Tina-"

Serfred was startled when he saw the girl smiling beside him.

"Good morning."

"Get up you idiot."

Serfred was dumbfounded seeing the two smiling at him. He ponders if he was seeing things...

That idiot Lirius must have killed me. He must have died as well and now we're all in heaven. Yeah, that's just explain all of this.

"Serfred, get up already. I'm hungry..."

Serfred was taken aback hearing the girl's words, he reached his hand to grab the girl's hand. When he felt a pulse and warmth in her palm he cried. "Your alive, that idiot really did it."

"Who you calling idiot!?" Lirius frowned, glaring at Serfred disappointed that he expected him to fail.

"You idiot, why did you blast me away!" Serfred recalled what happened as he got up and grabbed the man by the collar.

"Because you were stupid enough to kill yourself! I told you to stay away from the circle yet you dare step inside! Your the idiot wishing to kill not only himself!" Lirius yelled furious that everything almost went wrong because of Serfred.

"..." Serfred was speechless as he scratched his head, "Anyway, well done. I'm hungry... Lirius hurry up and cook for us."

"Are you even listening to me? Hey you!!! Don't you dare walk away from me..." Lirius screamed seeing Serfred ignoring him as he walked back inside the manor.

Lirius was started when the woman grabbed hold of his arms, he looked down to face the girl. "Lirius, thank you for saving my life."

"Your welcome." Lirius kissed the girl on the forehead leaving the girl to be taken aback as she froze on the spot bewildered of what just happened.

Lirius walked ahead catching up to Serfred when they notice that the girl has not moved at all.

"Tina, let's go home."

"My lady, hurry up."

Athena smiled delight of what she was seeing, she felt so warm in the inside. She clamped her hands together as she put it toward her chest.

The girl ran towards the two men as she beamed as bright as the rising sun behind them.

Whilst the two continued to gaze upon the girl, they notice that the plants and trees that used to be dead soon turned green and leaves started appearing on the trees.

After the three of them finally were able to fill their stomachs, each one of them went ahead and rest for the rest of the day.

It wasn't even a minute or so when Athena felt something was missing. As she laid in bed, she soon realized why she was feeling incomplete. She quickly got out of bed and run out to the back garden.

"Fuji!"

Athena yelled as loud as she can wondering what happened to Fuji that night.

Appeared out of the bushes was the cub who someone grown overnight, Fuji was exactly the same size as a sheep and was glaring at Athena.

"Fuji..." Athena gentle tone echoed as she lowered herself curious if the cub still acknowledge her as it's master.

Athena smiled brightly seeing the cub running towards her as it jump into her arms. She embrace the cub as tears rolled down her face, "Fuji, did I worry you? Did Lirius hurt you last night?"

Seeing the cub licking Athena's face and hands, she dare not care what happened last night. All she could think of was how pleased she was that the cub still acknowledge her and that he did not run away.

"Fuji, let's go home." Athena carried the cub and was surprised that it weighed a lot all of the sudden. She gathered all her strength as she carried the cub all the way to her room and laid it on the bed.

"Rest well Fuji."
