Was Never Sick But Was Poisoned

As days turn to nightfall and night turn to daybreak. Athena realized she has been staying in the North for a week already.

The girl was busy checking on the progress of the crops she planted at the back of the Chief's house. She has also restored another small portion of land and planted some green vegetables which are growing much better than her first crops.

...My magic must be getting stronger than since the lumineux around them are much brighter than my first crops.

A lumineux are the bright light surrounding crops, trees, and plants. It is a sign that there are spirits in the area. The more light means the more spirit which also means the greater the spiritual energy in the area.

"My lady, are you ready?" Serfred walked in from the side of the house.

Athena nodded her head as she took a last looked at the plants, "Fuji, let's go."

Since what happened between the Chief and Fuji last time. Athena never dare left Fuji on his own, she was too worried that he might hurt him or the people of the village. At the same time, Fuji was growing at such speed that she thought he should be at the right age to be trained especially when it comes to haunting.

Before Tycho would be accompanying Serfred and Athena. But since they made progress in the village, this time Serfred was accompanied by two young men, they were older than me but younger than Serfred.

"Lady Tina."

"Serfred."

Athena frowned hearing them call her lady, "You don't need to address me as a lady you know."

"But Serfred calls you lady so why can't we?" Gran replied

"Whatever, let's go." Athena gave in because she didn't want to waste her energy on him since he'll always find a ridiculous reason, ending up in an endless battle of reasoning.

Gran was a skilled dual dagger user whilst Arthur was a magic swordsman like Serfred. It surprised both of them to find out that someone in the village was able to use magic, both of them thought only the people in church and Serfred were the only one left who could use magic.

Not only are they both different in skills but also personality since Gran is loud and troublesome while Arthur is quiet and serious. But both are amazing at fighting together.

"Hopefully we can get more supplies this time since Fuji is better at hunting now," Gran said, praising Fuji which made the cub ears stick out please from what he was hearing.

Athena check her bag carefully and her dagger on her belt, "I'll go and gather some herbs with Fuji, you guys can hunt."

"Roger." Gran cheerfully replied

"Be careful," Serfred added

"..." Arthur thought of what to say but eventually just ended up nodding his head.

As they all went on their separate ways, Athena grabbed his bow and the bag of arrows as she and Fuji headed the opposite side.

It didn't take long for her to gather all the necessary herbs she needs whilst Fuji went hunting for some rabbits.

In the meantime, the boys were almost done with gathering enough food for the village. They caught a boar, a few rabbits, and a deer. At the same time, they all gather some fruits and enchanted herbs.

There are different types of herbs and materials in the world.

The normal plants and materials which you can commonly get everywhere and Enchanted plants and materials which are rare to find and can be distinguished because of the lumineux around them.

"Look what I found, I wonder if Tina will be able to use this." Gran showed the orange lily-like flower with black polka dot spots on it.

After a few hours, they all gathered at the meeting point. Everyone was already there when Athena returned with Fuji with a couple of rabbits.

"Wow, Fuji you sure caught a lot of rabbits this time." Gran continued to praise Fuji as the cub ears stick out proud of his great achievement.

Athena felt like laughing seeing how ridiculous Fuji looked. "Let's head home. We still have loads of things to do."

When they returned to the village, they brought the supplies straight to the church. There Diana, the nuns along with the woman in the village started preparing for every one meal.

"Diana, I'll leave you to it," Athena said, as she headed out to check the progress of the village.

It has only been a week yet they've made quite a progress already. At least they were able to restore one home already at the same time, with the help of the priest. Athena was able to heal everyone already but was still unable to restore major wounds.

"You don't have to feel bad, mana are really weak already." Serfred patted the girl on the head as he tried to comfort her seeing how upset she was seeing that she could not help everyone.

"I know, it just didn't expect I'll be this week." she sighed

...It is not I who is weak but this darn body. How sickly was this girl that I'll collapse for just walking a few meters? What worst is that this body was never sick but was poisoned all the time.

Athena realized her body felt weak all the time and despite how fast her body was recovering because of the poison she takes. It made her wonder why she couldn't do normal labor as if her body could not even stand on her own. She discovered that her inside was being decayed slowly. She was poisoned so badly that in the modern world the poison or virus she has can be called cancer.

Inside the Chief's shield house, Athena was busy working on another potion when she heard someone knocking at the door.

Athena took a quick glimpse to who came knocking as she went back to what she was doing. "Oh- it's you, Gran, what do you want?"

"Tina, I found this earlier." Gran handed the enchanted flower he found earlier.

When Athena saw the flower her eyes sparkled seeing the lumineux surrounding it. "Where did you find this?"

"In the southern part, I tried to find some more but there weren't any." He explained as he scratched his head.

"Of course you couldn't since deer love to eat them." She smiled as she took the flower away from him.

"Alright, then I leave you to it." Gran head out to the door but before he could close the door...

"Gran thank you." The girl gave him a sweet and gentle smile.

Gran's face turned red seeing the girl cute expression, he quickly closed the door as he storms off bewildered of what just happened.
