Seren is internally combusting. Rina is thriving. Mom is calmly drinking tea. Dad is already writing a historical paper about the implications of fictional characters manifesting in the real world.

Seren wagner (fl)

(gripping her head, absolutely dying inside) This isn’t happening. This is a fever dream. I am in a coma somewhere. 😵‍💫

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(grinning like a villain) Oh, it’s happening, alright. And I’m LIVING for it.

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(completely serious) What is a 'fever dream'?

Seren wagner (fl)

(muttering) Oh, I don’t know. Maybe it’s what happens when you spend years writing a book, fall in love with your own character, and then accidentally rip him out of his world because you’re a loser who writes instead of touching grass. 🌿

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(blinking) ...Should I be concerned?

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(grinning at Kieran) Nah, she’s just having an existential crisis. She’ll get over it. Eventually. Maybe. 🤷‍♀️

James Wagner (fl dad)

(excitedly flipping through his notes) But if she truly wrote you into existence, that means she could, theoretically, do it again. Seren! WRITE NAPOLEON! I HAVE QUESTIONS FOR HIM! 🤩✍️

Seren wagner (fl)

(throwing a couch pillow at him) DAD, WHAT?!

Eleanor Wagner (fl mom)

(calmly stirring her tea, unfazed as always) ☕ If you’re summoning people, dear, I’d like to request Leonardo da Vinci. We could use some art in this house.

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(crossing his arms, looking serious) So, I am not the only one to have been transported here before? 🤨

Seren wagner (fl)

(deadpan) No, Kieran. You are the first. My parents are just insane.

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(cheerfully) Welcome to the Wagner household! No one here is normal! 🎉

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(Kieran looks like he regrets everything.)

[BAM!]

The front door swings open so violently that it SLAMS against the wall. Kieran, operating entirely on battle instincts, whips out his sword in an instant.

Seren wagner (fl)

(mutters and so done with him) god why does he take out his 6 feet damn sword every time 😭

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(spinning around, sword drawn) INTRUDER?!

Seren wagner (fl)

(panicked, throwing herself in front of him) NO—WAIT—

lena warner (fl bff)

(standing in the doorway, horrified) WHAT THE ACTUAL—

Kieran lunges. Seren SCREAMS. Rina laughs so hard she almost falls over. Dad is frantically taking notes. Mom calmly sips her tea.

Seren wagner (fl)

(grabbing Kieran’s arm, hanging off of it like a terrified possum) STOP! STOP! IT’S JUST LENA! SHE’S MY FRIEND!

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(pausing, still holding the sword at Lena’s face) …Are you certain?

lena warner (fl bff)

(pressing herself against the door, absolutely traumatized) WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘ARE YOU CERTAIN’? SEREN, WHO IS THIS MAN WITH A WEAPON?! 😭

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(dying of laughter, wiping tears from her eyes) Oh my god, this is the best day of my life. 🤣

Seren wagner (fl)

(panting, still trying to push Kieran’s sword down) Kieran, please, put the sword down. You are going to get us arrested.

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(frowning, reluctantly lowering his sword) If you say so… but she entered as though she were raiding the castle.

lena warner (fl bff)

(still traumatized, clutching her chest) I WAS JUST CHECKING ON YOU! YOU WEREN’T ANSWERING YOUR PHONE, AND I GOT WORRIED! 📱😵

Kieran Valtor (ml)

(confused) Phone? 🤔

lena warner (fl bff)

(pointing at him, shrieking) WHO EVEN IS THIS?!

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(grinning, dramatically waving her arms like a game show host) 🎤 Lena, meet Kieran Valtor, the fictional knight from Seren’s reverse harem novel! Seren wrote him into existence because she was too lonely!

Seren wagner (fl)

(hissing at Rina) SHUT. UP.

lena warner (fl bff)

(staring at Seren, then at Kieran, then back at Seren, her eye twitching) …I need to sit down.

Kieran watches Lena like she’s a suspicious enemy spy while she flops onto the couch, staring into the void.

lena warner (fl bff)

(whispering to herself) I came here to check on my friend… and instead, I almost died via medieval man with a sword. 😑

Seren wagner (fl)

(groaning, covering her face) This is my life now.

Rina Wagner (fl sis)

(still laughing) This is incredible. I love this so much. 💀

Kieran, still completely unaware of why everyone is reacting this way, sheaths his sword and nods at Lena.

Kieran Valtor (ml)

Apologies for attempting to cut you down in battle.
