The sun hung low over the school yard as Iris and Mia walked side by side.

Their laughter mingling with the buzz of students around them.

Iris's charm and popularity were like a magnet, pulling attention wherever he went.

Mia had always been an outsider at this elite school.

She wasn't from money, not like the others. She had earned her spot there though a scholarship, a charity grant that barely, covered her tuition.

But since she started dating Iris.

The whispers had changed. People looked at her differently. Trouble always followed her, forced to break up with Iris by her bullies.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst Iris he continued to glide through life effortlessly while, Mia struggled to keep up.

They stopped by the fountain in the middle of the courtyard, still laughing, when Mia suddenly fell quiet. Iris noticed the shift in her.

Iris asked, concerned.

Mia took a deep breath,her voice shaking as she finally spoke.

Iris...I think we should break up.

Iris blinked, a frown forming on his face.

Wait, what? Why? Did I do something?

Mia let out a bitter laugh, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Are you kidding me? I'm the one suffering here,not you. You've got everything... your friends,your popularity,your perfect life. And me? I'm barely hanging on. I can't keep doing this anymore.

I think I need to focus on my scholarship. I need to get my life together. I'm done.
