Kate struggles, trying to break free, but ends up dominated by James' insistence.
She closes her eyes and gives in, feeling his hand tighten around her body. Suddenly the temperature in the car rises. Kate is mesmerized by the scent of James' perfume and the sensual movements of his lips.
Entertained, Kate doesn't notice when he starts to unbutton her shirt, her skin burning with desire, until...
Kate pushes him away, desperately. James looks at her face that looked frightened.
Kate puts her hand over her mouth, trying to avoid it, but her stomach churns terribly.
Before James can react, someone knocks on the passenger side window. Without thinking, Kate opens the door and vomits, right on top of Edward.
They all look at each other without reacting, until Edward says:
"What... why? Kate, let's go back to the hospital, I'll help you!"
"N-no…" she tries to say, but ends up throwing up more, this time on Edward's shoes.
He, instead of scolding her, holds her hair so that she doesn't get it dirty, while she vomits more.
James at that moment, felt his chest burn and the anger rise.
James slaps Edward's hand and pulls Kate, who ends up soiling the brand-new upholstery of his Bentley.
Even with her throwing up, he holds her, looking at Edward menacingly.
"The next time you touch Kate, I swear it won't be just a slap, Edward."
"Really?! Why don't you try it? I'm right here."
"Stop it, both of you... for God's sake, stop it." Kate says, holding onto the dashboard, unable to stand the worst nausea she has ever felt in her life. "Edward, go away and James, please, start this car!"
Kate was pale and rests her head on the dashboard, wondering what was wrong with her. She didn't usually eat junk food, she tried to eat well, why was she feeling so nauseous?
Edward and James look at her with concern.
"What are you waiting for, James! Start this car!" she yells, impatient.
Without thinking twice, James pulls the door, slamming it shut and without saying goodbye to Edward, drives off with Kate.
He drives for a while longer, until stopping at a traffic light, he asks:
"What happened to you? One minute you were all lovey-dovey and the next you looked like the girl from The Exorcist?!"
"James, I'm not feeling well, really."
"Want me to take you to the hospital? To another hospital that doesn't have an Edward lurking around?"
"Edward is like a brother, stop that... and just take me home, okay?"
"Are you sure about that?"
Kate retches again, but puts her hand over her mouth. James looks at the floor of his new car and thinks he'll definitely have to leave the car at the cleaners for at least a week.
"You always tell me you eat very healthy, but I don't think you're eating."
"I do eat healthy, the problem was you?"
"Me?! I'm the cause of your vomiting!" James asks, bewildered. He puts his hand close to his mouth and tries to smell his breath. "My breath doesn't stink, does it?"
"Yes, it does, you... You drank! You smell horribly of alcohol."
"What? But… I barely drank anything!"
"James, you have to stop drinking..."
"Oh, Kate... don't tell me you put on this whole show just to force me to make a request from my mother?"
"Show!" Kate hits James, irritated, "I'm almost dying and you're saying I'm putting on a show?!"
"Hey, stop it! If you keep hitting me, it's going to cause an accident! You look hot when you make that little pout when you're angry, do that again when we get home." James smiles, irritating Kate even more.
She crosses her arms and looks out at the street, trying not to look at him.
"Hey, when I get home, I'm going to brush my teeth, okay? I'll use plenty of mouthwash so you don't smell the alcohol."
Kate nods slightly and soon they arrive home.
James goes to his room, while Kate goes to hers. While he takes a shower and brushes his teeth as he said he would, Kate goes to the bathroom and picks up another pregnancy test.
