Ravier went home, he needed to think, however, as soon as he got to his doorstep he received a call from the company.

"Hello."

"Mr. Valente, I'm sorry to bother you, but there's been a problem."

Ravier clenched his jaw, he couldn't even take half a day off, these incompetents already called him as if the world was ending?

"What happened?"

It was Director Simon from administration who had called him.

"There was a fight in the company cafeteria and someone got hurt."

"What are you? A bunch of fifth graders?"

"I'm sorry sir, I only called because it involved your assistant."

Ravier felt something strange inside him, a need to see if Gael was okay.

"I'm coming back."

All the way back, his mind was quite confused and he remembered the way he treated Gael earlier, surely he got stressed and attacked someone.

When he arrived at the company, he asked the head of security who was waiting for him in the lobby.

"Where are those involved?"

"Your assistant is in the infirmary and Eduardo is in the security room, until you decide what we do. This has never happened in the company, we don't know how to act."

When the man finished speaking, Ravier was already entering the elevator, he stopped and said:

"Call the police on that idiot and make him pay in the harshest way possible for what he did."

Right afterwards he went to the infirmary, he had a need inside him, to check if Gael was okay.

When he arrived, he immediately said to the nurse.

"Did you call a doctor? Why didn't you take him to a hospital?"

"We didn't think it was necessary, sir, he's already conscious and seems fine."

Ravier then enters the infirmary and sees Gael, he has a black eye and looks ready to leave.

"Where are you going?"

Gael only notices Ravier's presence when he speaks.

"It's nothing serious Mr. Valente, you don't have to worry, believe me I've been through worse."

"Why did Eduardo hit you?"

"It doesn't matter."

"You are very sharp-tongued Gael."

Gael looks furiously at Ravier, everything he goes through is his fault, but he won't say anything, as it is crucial that he keeps his job. He didn't say anything else, just grabbed his jacket from the headboard and got up to leave.

Ravier didn't let him pass and held his arm.

"Why are you mad at me? I didn't hit you."

"But, you are the cause of my misfortune since I met you Mr. Valente, now let go."

Ravier looked at Gael for a moment and the only thing that came to mind was kissing him again. But, he let go of his arm and said:

"I say the same about you Gael, you are the bane of my life."

Gael, even furious, felt that like a slap. But, he has to endure it, for his mother, she is more important than all of this.

Ravier left first and Gael left the infirmary soon after, neither of them went home, both went to work and neither was aware of the other's presence in the company.

As for Eduardo, the chief of security called the police and he was arrested. Before leaving the building, when he learned that it was Ravier who had called the police, he promised revenge.

"These two fags are going to pay me, this is not going to stay like this, I will get revenge."

It wasn't until seven that Ravier left his office and ran into Gael. He was certain that after what happened, his secretary had gone home.

"What are you still doing here?"

Gael was startled by his presence and said:

"I'm working."

"Trying to get my attention by staying this late?"

"Honestly, I didn't even know you were still here."

"I lost my day off, so I just had to work."

Gael had already calmed down and said:

"I'm sorry about that, if it wasn't for this situation, I wouldn't have come back to the company."

"I came back because I'm the boss. And... it wasn't your fault, Eduardo went too far."

"Thank you very much, but I shouldn't have waited to see what he was capable of."

Suddenly there was a silence between them and Gael said:

"Well, if the boss is saying it's late, then I guess I should get going."

Ravier stepped forward and said:

"Come with me, I'll take you home."

If it wasn't for the thick-headed and stupid side that Ravier assumes sometimes, Gael believes that they could even be friends, but his troglodyte side always finds a way to show up and ruin everything.

The whole way Gael opted for silence, it was much safer, Ravier has a very unpredictable mood and you never know how he will react from one second to the next.

When Ravier stopped the car in front of Gael's house, he simply said:

"Thank you for the ride, sir."

However, when he tried to release the seat belt, he couldn't. Gael tried a second time, but to no avail, the belt was clearly stuck.

"Excuse me Mr. Valente, can you give me a hand here?"

"What happened?"

"The belt is stuck."

Ravier then went to help him, the moment their hands touched, they both felt a shock.

Ravier ran his hand over Gael's angular jaw, he had a tender expression and said:

"What are you doing to me?"

It passed like lightning and the next second, he closed his face and Ravier told him:

"It's loose now, get out of the car."

With no other choice, Gael stormed out and slammed the car door shut, it was the only protest he could make as Ravier sped off, barely giving him time to get out.

Ravier once again went home furious with himself, he was once again tempted by Gael.

"This has to stop, you have to stop being weak Ravier Valente."

He told himself that.
