I will be there

I woke up and hurried to school and this time it felt different going to school. I felt like I finally have something to go to. I always went to school just so that my attendance was satisfactory bit now I feel different. There was something on mind from yesterday. I saw a movie at night and I thought after that movie if love is pink for them then what colour is ours ? I couldn’t figure that out and so I thought I’d find out. As I thought if this I met Fuyuko.

“ Fuyuko! Good morning.”

“ Good morning.”

“ Oh!,” I say looking at her.

“ What? Something there? Is anything wrong with me?,” she asks in a very confused manner.

“ Not at all. You look more beautiful than before,” I say without thinking about how we both would have felt after that.

“ Idiot! Don’t…Don’t sa..say that all of a sudden,” she says her face red. I thought I’ll tease her a bit after I saw that.

“ Ok then, I won’t say ever,” I say with a serious expression on my face.

“ That’s not what I meant I wanted to say-“

“ Ja! Then you wanted me to say it so you prepared for that reaction,” I say acting confident and closing my eyes as I say it.

I waited for her to say something but she said nothing so I opened my eyes. I saw her face red and she puffed up her cheeks. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing.

“ That’s mean you know,” she says in a mocking way.

“ Sorry! Just thought I’d have a little fun,” I said.

She started laughing and I stood and watched her. Ah! A smile I’ve been wanting to see for ages. A smile I wanted her to smile. A smile that wasn’t out of pity for me but out of her pure happiness. That’s the smile I’ve always wanted to see. So I was the reason behind it after all.

I walked closer to her and gave her a hug.

“ Wai..wait, what..what are you doing, idiot,” she says startled.

“ Sorry I didn’t realise before that I was the one hiding your smile. I never would have thought I was the reason behind you being so broken. Sorry I was so selfish back then,” I say in a very apologetic tone. I held her tight and cried.

“ Wanna skip school today ,” Fuyuko asks.

“ Seriously! I’m up for it.”

So then we took our leave from school that day. We walked and talked the way to my home. She has never been there and this the first time a girl has ever entered my room. I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. Anyway after we reach my house she should realise it.

“ Want to come in?”

“ Hmm. Let’s go,” she says and then realises. “ Are you sure? I’m coming in when I’m not invited.”

So that’s what’s bothering her.

“ Your welcome anytime,” I tell her. “ After all you are my girlfriend,” I say and then realise that it was a lot harder to say it.

She turned away and said that she was going in. She walked up to the door and took her shoes of. She hurried up toy room and she did that without thinking to.

I take my shoes of and then walk up to my room.

“ So what do you wanna do, after all we did skip school.”

“ Amusement park! I wanna go there,” Fuyuko says in Avery soft tone.

“ Amusement park? Why?,” I ask surprisingly.

“ I’ve never been to one before.”

“ Seriously! Fine, let’s go.”

She looked so happy and so then we went to the amusement park. When we reached there she told me that she had ride everything and then only we’ll be going out of there. I guess my money is gone for today.

“ Let’s begin our date,” she says not even a bit red.

“ Oii! Don’t get to excited,” I tell her. “ Seriously what am I going to do with you.”

We went to every ride that day and to be honest it was one of the most happiest days of my life. We ended it with the Farris Wheel. We were at the top and Fuyuko seemed a little sad that time.

“ What’s wrong? Did you not like it?,” I ask her worried.

“ It’s not that, it's just that,what if I leave you all of a sudden?,” she asks very sadly.

“ Seriously! What type of question is that.”

“ Answer it!,” she says this time persistent.

I leaned in closer.

“ Then I’ll make sure you remember this before you do that,” I say.

I kissed her. And promised myself that I would make sure she doesn’t feel that way ever again. I wanted her happiness and I will bring it to her this time. I’m not letting this slide away so easily.

“ If it ever comes to that, then I will be there.”
