Staying away for love

I guess not all of us can help falling in love. If Kiriyama falls for her I have no right to interfere. But it’s best if he doesn’t.

“ Fuyuko, be careful. That shall I can tell you for now. You’ll understand later,” was what I told her in case Yuka was anywhere close by.

“ Ok! I understand,” she says in a very confused way.

“ Darling,” Yuka calls out from behind.

“ Yes, what’s up?,”

“ I don’t know the school that we’ll so I was hoping that you could show me around.”

“ No problem.”

She turns to Fuyuko and give a sly smile. I guess she would have found out. And she did. It would have been better if she found out later though. I didn’t want her to know so soon.

“ That’s what he meant,” she says.

I guess I’ll have to leave her in Fuyuko’s hands. I can’t handle her all by myself. I can’t ask Kiriyama to help me because he’s in Avery tough spot already.

“ You know what darling,” Yuka asks me.

“ What?”

“ I want to know who’s that other boy next to that girl over there.”

“ Huh?,” I ask surprised.

“ It’s not like that or anything… it’s just that…uh.. he’s to close to her,” she say uncomfortably.

Everything became clear after that. The way she was treating me must be out of habit.

“ Say, Yuka. Do you like me. As in more than a friend?”

“ Creep! Why would you say that,” she asks.

“ My friend wanted to know about it so I had to record it here,' I say trying to lie.

“ Oh! I see. I thought you thought I had one on you. I know you wouldn’t think like those other perverts out there,” she said looking straight at me.

I had to change the topic so I asked her.

“ You like that guy next to that girl don’t you,” I ask her.

“ Nothing…nothing like that. How’s that.. that possible,” she stammers.

“ Oh I have a girlfriend by the way,” I tell her.

“ Don’t joke around,” she says. “ Oh! It’s time for class, let’s go.”

“ Ok!,” that took of all my self esteem and my pride away.

It was then I realised why she didn’t want to love another man again. It’s a long story so I’ll keep it for later.

For now I have to clear up the misunderstanding between me, Kiriyama ,Fuyuko and Yuka. This is going to be really tough now isn’t it. Maybe I’ll call them up to the rooftop and see how it goes. I run bale to the class and tell them all.

“ I want all of you to come to the rooftop after school. It’s important.”

They all looked at me and then agree to come up. I thought about Yuka and how she feels about love.

Maybe she still has that mentality she had since that day. After what happened I couldn’t possibly see how she would trust other men easily. The only other man she’s been with is me. Maybe she is right. We all need to stay away sometimes. Many times just for the sake of love.
