Last Date

I couldn’t sleep that day. In fact I couldn’t sleep for the past 4 days. I was scared to that I was gonna go soon. I couldn’t go to school that day since I had to go somewhere else. I got up early that day and went for a walk that day. Today’s going to be only about me. Or that’s what j thought. I went to the place I had to go and when I returned I saw Fuyuko.

“ Akio?”

“ Fuyuko! Why are you here?”

“ It almost sounds like you don’t what to see me.”

“ What about school?”

“ I thought I’d skip class today. You see since you came to my house I’ve been all –“

Fuyuko stops mid sentence and looks at me.

“ Akio, what’s wrong?”

“ Nothing why do you -“

I saw a drop of water fall from my face. I’m crying. Obviously I’m crying but I can’t tell her I’m crying. I had to face what was coming to me. It’s gonna happen in a few days and I hoped to see her smiling. I promised not to make her cry anymore so I came up with an excuse. I wipe my tears and smile.

“ There’s dust in my eyes. I got it out but it still hurts maybe that’s why I’m crying.”

“ You scared me there for a second. Ja! Your free right?”

“ Yea! I am.”

“ Wanna go on a date?”

“ Fine! Where do you wanna go?”

She jumped in excitement and thanked me like crazy. At that moment I thought to myself. I’m the one who’s supposed to thank you.

We went to about 13 places that day. I was so exhausted and my chest started to act up again. I couldn’t bare it but I has to. I wanted to make her happy and so I did everything I could to make her happy.

“ How so you feel about me?” Fuyuko asks suddenly.

“ I love you. More than anything on the world I love you,” I told her .

“ I know you didn’t have to tell me that,” she says smiling.

“ You just wanted me to compliment you, right?”

“ Hehehe.”

I never would have thought that everything until now would be so magical. There are not enough words to express how much fun I’m having and there are not enough words to tell you how much I love her. But I do.

We ended up at the amusement park at the end.

“ Have you had fun all this time you were with me?” I asked her.

“ Yes, I couldn’t have had more fun in my life.”

Thank God it all went well for all of us.

We walked up to the Farris Wheel but they were about to close so we thought of going back.

“ Oi, you two! I’ll give you a ride if you want to,” one of the service people said.

“ Thanks,” Fuyuko said. She grabbed my hand and we entered the Farris Wheel.

We talked about how it was to be together ally his time. Sounds pretty cliché. I know I get that a lot. Anything I write here is like that. All of what I write is cliché.

“ Brings back memories,” the worker whispered to himself. “ Youth is indeed amazing.”
