A rooftop changes everything

I did call them to the roof and now I don’t know what to do or say. I should have thought of this properly. Anyway I have no time to waste I was the one who called them so I’m the one who’s gonna clarify any misunderstanding between anybody.

I see everybody coming up to the roof one by one. I clear my throat and make a speech.

“ I called everyone here to make sure there are no misunderstandings between us,” I say.

“ Wow!,” everyone says and claps.

“ Thank you, thank you! Wait! This is no time to be clapping,” I say. “ If anyone has any questions about anything, ask me.”

Yuka raises her hand and I ask her to speak.

“ Is she your girlfriend?,” she asks.

“ Oii, don’t put it so plain,” I say turning red. “ Yes! Any other questions?”

“ I’ll make sure you climb the stairs to adulthood,” Yuka tells Fuyuko.

“ Huh? Thank you?,” Fuyuko says turning red.

“ Don’t just agree with her,” I tell Fuyuko.

“ Sorry!”

Kiriyama raised his hand.

“ Oh! Kiriyama? What do you have?” I ask him.

“ Is Yuka single?” he asks.

“ Yes!,” I tell him.

He had a serious face and he said ok this session is over I’m going home. There was something off about him so I let everyone go and followed him down to the school entrance.

“Oii, is something the matter?” I ask him.

“ Ja! How was that? Straight forward right? I was so nervous about asking that question. Ja, Ja! I looked cool right? I know.”

I shouldn’t have even bothered with this guy. I had something I wanted to ask him anyway.

“ Are you serious about her?,” I ask him in a very serious tone.

He smile back and puts his arm on my shoulder.

“ Have I ever joked about love? Anyway to answer your question, yes I’m serious about her. I mean it. I’m dead serious,” Kiriyama says. It brought chills down my spine. The way he said it. I’ve never heard him say anything like that in that time before.

“ Then I’ll leave her in your care,” I smiled at him.

“ You can count on me,” he says smiling back.

** Meanwhile on the roof**

“Huh? Ki…ki…Kiriyama ah..asked about me,” that was a lot to take for Yuka. Her way of dealing with love was always her making the effort. Maybe leaving Yuka with Kiriyama is actually the right decision. You see, one day she almost got assaulted by the person she called her boyfriend. She hasn’t been able to trust ant man since then. Maybe Kiriyama is the only person who might be able to change her.

“ I hope you don’t let her down,” I say whispering to myself.

I wanted to trust Kiriyama and so I did . I called out to Yuka and Fuyuko.

“ Oii, you girls! Let’s go home,” I scream out.

They came down and Fuyuko clung onto me. It was like she was telling Yuka that I was hers. Feels nice just to be able to be loved like this. When the person you love loves you back it kind of feels like a miracle. I hope we can stay together like this. I hope we can stay like this forever. And I really hope Yuka finds what she wanted to find for such a long time. The does fly faster when you have fun. And I hope this fun time lasts for a very long time. I’m never letting go of anyone ever again. I hope I can change and I hope I can change fast.
