She speaks on the phone while the security guards come up to Liz and grab her arms. Liz struggles, trying to break free, but they are too strong.
Liz: Let me go, please. I need to talk to him.
Enzo: What's going on here?
Enzo sees that it's his wife and feels a mix of emotions—joy at seeing her in his company because she had never been there before, and anger that the security guards are holding her.
Liz: Tell them to let me go; they're hurting me.
Secretary: Sir, this girl came here insisting on speaking with you but she doesn't have an appointment, and she claimed to be your wife which as we know is not possible, so I called the security to remove her from the building.
Liz looks at Enzo with eyes full of anger and sadness, and Enzo feels a stab in his heart. With coldness and arrogance, he looks at the security guards and says.
Enzo: Take your hands off her now.
Secretary: But, sir, she was disturbing—
Enzo: Shut up. I ordered you to release my wife now.
Everyone's jaw drops upon hearing from Enzo that she is indeed his wife because Liz is a simple girl who doesn't wear designer clothes. She's in light jeans, a white blouse, a black jacket, flats, and her hair is down.
The security lets go of Liz, and Enzo walks over to her as she rubs her reddened arms.
Enzo: Are you okay, Liz?
Liz: Yes.
Enzo: I'll only say this once—if this happens again, you're all out on the street, especially you, Jessica. Why didn't you call to check if I'd see her?
Jessica: You don't see anyone without an appointment, so I didn’t want to bother you.
Enzo: If I find out anyone at this company disrespected my wife, they'll have to answer to me.
He speaks menacingly, and even Liz is frightened.
Enzo: You should have been careful. She is also an owner of this company. If she wishes, she can fire all of you.
Everyone looks down while Enzo speaks.
Enzo: Let's go to my office, Liz. Jessica, don't transfer any calls; I don't want to be interrupted by anyone. The world could be ending, but do not interrupt me!
Enzo grasps Liz's hand and leads her to the elevator. The doors close, and the secretary looks at Liz with anger and disgust.
Liz pulls her hand from Enzo's and stays silent. They reach Enzo's floor and proceed to his office.
Enzo: Have a seat, Liz. I apologize for what happened; it won't happen again. I'm glad you came.
Liz: I needed to speak with you, and I couldn't wait until tonight.
Enzo: Then speak up, what's the matter?
Liz: I came to talk about my job at the cafe.
Enzo: You came here for that? Liz, it's no use insisting; I don't want you waiting tables.
Liz: I came here about my job, yes, but it's something different.
Enzo: I'm listening.
Liz: You don't want me to work as a waitress, but today, when I arrived, I received a better offer— the cafe needs a manager, and I've been chosen for the position. Sir, I really enjoy what I do, please don't force me to leave. I can't see myself working in this company; I love working at the cafe, and it's very famous; you can't deny that.
Enzo looks at Liz sternly and thinks about her request; he sees her distress and how tense she is while speaking.
Enzo: Do you know why that cafe is famous? Because I own it.
Liz is stunned upon hearing this.
Enzo: Alright, Liz, it's not a big position, but I'll let you continue. In the future, I want you as vice president of that cafe.
In the heat of the moment, Liz goes up to Enzo and hugs him. He's taken aback by the gesture and smiles slightly.
Liz composes herself and thanks him.
Liz: Thank you so much, sir. I am really happy to be allowed to continue working there; I'll do my best in everything.
Enzo: I know you will.
Liz: Well... I’ll leave you to work now, see you later.
Enzo: There's no need to leave in such a hurry.
Liz: I need to work. Good luck with your work, sir, and thanks again.
Enzo: See you later, Liz.
Liz leaves filled with joy and smiling. Enzo watches from the doorway of his office as Liz departs and smiles to himself when he remembers the hug and her happiness.
