Episode 18

Liz and Enzo arrive home at the same time, but Liz has no idea that Enzo followed her.

In the living room, Liz is about to go up to her room when Enzo calls her.

Enzo: Liz, please come to my office.

Without questioning, Liz follows Enzo to the office. Enzo walks over to his desk and opens a drawer, taking out a box.

Enzo: Happy birthday, Liz.

Liz: T-Thank you.

Liz is taken by surprise as he has never shown her any affection before. He hands the box over, and she accepts it, opening it.

Upon opening the black box, she sees a beautiful, delicate necklace. Liz is overjoyed and impulsively hugs Enzo, leaving him motionless and without reaction.

Liz: Thank you so much, I love it, it's beautiful.

Enzo: May I put it on for you?

Liz: Yes.

He gently moves her hair aside and notices how silky, soft, and fragrant it is. He takes the necklace and places it around her neck, his fingers lightly brushing Liz's soft skin.

Liz: Thank you so much, sir.

Enzo: Stop calling me 'sir', Liz. We're married; there's no need for formalities.

Liz: Yes, but we're only married on paper; I should still respect you.

Enzo becomes infuriated upon hearing Liz say this, realizing she doesn’t value their marriage as he thought. For Liz, things are becoming increasingly difficult, and she feels suffocated.

Enzo leaves, upset and not wanting to do something he might regret. He goes to his room to take a cold shower, trying to understand the anguish he felt when Liz spoke those words.

Liz doesn't understand the cause of his anger because just a moment ago he had been kind. She goes up to her room and looks at the necklace in the mirror, incredibly pleased with the gift as it's to her taste: simple and delicate.

The next day, Liz gets up, takes care of her hygiene, gets dressed, and goes downstairs for breakfast, where Enzo is already sitting at the table.

Liz: Good morning.

Cecilia: Good morning.

Liz eats in silence and heads off to work. Enzo leaves at the same moment and heads to the company.

Upon arriving at the company, he learns about a meeting with a potential investor at a cafe. After sorting out his affairs, he leaves for the meeting.

Liz is busy serving and taking orders from many tables. She approaches one table and asks for the order while looking at her notes, not realizing that the customer is her husband.

Enzo:A cappuccino, Mrs. Liz.

At the sound of that deep voice, Liz immediately looks up and is shocked to find that it's Enzo. He glares at her with great anger, and Liz is taken aback.
