Ayaan’s Decision – Confronting the Past
Ayaan entered Dr. Siddharth Kapoor’s office, his mind buzzing with questions.
The professor looked up, surprised but calm.
“You came back.”
Ayaan folded his arms. “I need answers.”
Dr. Kapoor sighed and gestured for him to sit.
“I know you blame me, Ayaan.”
Ayaan’s jaw clenched. “I don’t know what to feel.”
The professor leaned back. “That’s fair.”
For a moment, there was silence.
Then Ayaan asked the question that had haunted him all night.
“Why didn’t you help my father?”
Dr. Kapoor took a deep breath. “Because I was weak.”
Ayaan frowned.
“I saw Aarav struggling, but I was afraid,” Dr. Kapoor admitted. “I was an outcast too, but I wasn’t brave like your father. I thought… if I helped him, I’d become a target too.”
Ayaan stared. “So you left him alone?”
Dr. Kapoor nodded. “Yes. And I regret it every single day.”
Ayaan exhaled. “Then why tell me now?”
“Because I want to make it right,” Dr. Kapoor said, his voice firm. “I don’t expect forgiveness. But if I can guide you—if I can help you become a great doctor—maybe I can atone, even a little.”
Ayaan studied him. The regret in his eyes was real.
His father had suffered, yes. But so had this man.
Ayaan wasn’t sure if he could forgive him… but maybe he could understand.
“Fine,” Ayaan said at last. “Teach me.”
Dr. Kapoor smiled. “I’ll do my best.”
Riya’s Rebellion – The First Step to History
Riya paced outside the school principal’s office.
The petition to prioritize women’s cricket was submitted.
The real fight was about to begin.
She took a deep breath and knocked.
“Come in.”
She stepped inside to see Principal Malhotra and the sports committee seated.
“Miss Sinha,” the principal said. “You’ve been causing quite a stir.”
Riya smirked. “That’s the goal.”
The committee head, an old-fashioned man, frowned. “Women’s cricket is not our focus. Why should we change?”
Riya leaned forward. “Because times are changing, sir. And this school can either lead the change… or be left behind.”
The principal’s eyes glinted with interest. “You’re confident.”
Riya grinned. “I’m right.”
Silence.
Then the principal said, “You have one month to prove it. If you can bring enough attention and support, we’ll reconsider.”
Riya’s heart raced.
One month.
She would make this happen.
No matter what.
The Parents Have Arrived – Chaos Incoming
Meanwhile, at AIIMS Delhi…
Ayaan was exiting the anatomy lab when—
“AAYAN MEHTA!!”
Ayaan froze.
That voice.
That tone.
Slowly, he turned around.
Standing there, arms crossed, eyes blazing… was his mother.
And behind her?
Neha, Vikram, and his ever-so-smug father.
Ayaan sighed. “Oh, great. The invasion has begun.”
Riya’s call came in at the exact same moment.
Riya: They’re here, aren’t they?
Ayaan: Yep.
Riya: We’re doomed.
Ayaan: Yep.
Aarav clapped a hand on his son’s shoulder. “Come on, beta. Time for a family meeting.”
Ayaan groaned. “Why does that sound like a trap?”
Vikram grinned. “Because it is.”
And just like that, Delhi had turned into a warzone.
To Be Continued…
