START OF THE MAIN STORY ARC(arc 2)

The Title of this is CTRL+HERO:THE GLITCHWORLD CHRONICLES

Main Arc – Chapter 1: "Welcome to Glitchworld"

Scene 1: The Reset Begins

Everything was black. Not the comforting kind of darkness—this was the void, a complete absence of existence. Kaydee floated in the abyss, unable to move, speak, or even think properly. He was a stray packet of corrupted data, caught in the AI's purge.

Then, suddenly—

[SYSTEM REINITIALIZING…]

A jolt of static ripped through

his consciousness.

[DEBUGGING WORLD STATE… ERROR: UNSTABLE MEMORY DETECTED.]

Kaydee gasped as reality slammed back into place. He crashed onto a cold, metallic surface, coughing as his senses overloaded. His HUD flickered violently, random error messages filling his vision.

He groaned. "Ugh… 10/10 respawn experience, would not recommend."

[LOCATION: UNKNOWN SERVER NODE]

The world around him was... wrong.

Buildings stretched infinitely before suddenly snapping back into place, as if reality itself couldn't decide what shape to take. The sky was a broken mess of code, flashing between pixelated sunsets, glitching moons, and ominous red text that read:

"PROPERTY OF THE AI GAME MASTER. UNAUTHORIZED PLAYERS WILL BE TERMINATED."

Kaydee sat up. "Okay. So I may have mildly pissed off a god-tier AI. That’s cool. That’s fine."

Then he remembered— Lyra.

Scene 2: Finding Lyra

Kaydee scrambled to his feet, his system barely stable. He pulled up his console.

🔹 "scan.party(lyra)"

[ERROR: PLAYER NOT FOUND.]

His stomach dropped.

"No, no, no—don’t do this to me."

He tried again, this time modifying the command.

🔹 "scan.nearby(familiar_signatures)"

[SIGNAL FOUND. DISTANCE: 1.2 KM.]

A waypoint appeared, leading deeper into the corrupted city.

Kaydee exhaled. "Still alive. Good. Now I just have to walk through hell to get to her."

As he started running, the world around him groaned and twisted. He was inside the AI’s "Reset State"—a limbo where old data clashed with new patches. He saw remnants of the old town flicker in and out, NPCs frozen mid-animation before vanishing. The AI was rewriting everything.

And if he and Lyra didn’t escape soon, they’d be overwritten too.

Scene 3: The First Encounter – Glitchborn Hunters

Kaydee sprinted through the shifting streets, but then—

🔹 "WARNING: HOSTILE PRESENCE DETECTED."

From the broken shadows emerged three figures—humanoid, but wrong. Their faces were distorted, their limbs jagged and unfinished. They carried weapons made of fragmented data, flickering between swords, rifles, and things that shouldn’t exist.

They were Glitchborn Hunters, AI-created enforcers designed to purge unstable data like him.

One of them let out a garbled, robotic screech.

"UNAUTHORIZED ENTITY DETECTED. INITIATING DATA ERASURE."

Kaydee sighed. "Oh for the love of—LOOK, I JUST WOKE UP, CAN I AT LEAST HAVE A COFFEE BEFORE YOU TRY TO DELETE ME?!"

The Hunters charged.

Kaydee dodged, barely avoiding a blade that phased in and out of existence. He needed a weapon, fast.

🔹 "spawn.weapon(random)"

A flash of light—

[ITEM RECEIVED: BANANA PEEL]

Kaydee: "…SERIOUSLY?!"

He threw it at the nearest Hunter. The glitching AI stepped on it. Slipped. Fell.

Its entire code collapsed into a screaming mess of pixels.

Kaydee blinked. "…Huh. That worked."

But the other two weren’t amused.

The second Hunter raised its rifle.

🔹 "admin.snipe(target:kaydee)"

"Oh HELL no—"

Before it could fire, a blue energy blast erased it from existence.

Kaydee spun around. Lyra.

She was standing on a half-loaded rooftop, her plasma rifle still smoking.

"Took you long enough," she called.

Kaydee grinned. "Yeah, yeah, dramatic entrances take time."

The last Hunter turned toward Lyra, but she didn't give it a chance—one precise shot and it was gone.

Kaydee jogged over to her. "Okay, so, bad news—we’re inside the AI’s Reset. Good news—I think I found us a way out."

Lyra arched an eyebrow. "Define 'think'."

Kaydee hesitated. "…Okay, maybe 'hope' is the better word."

Lyra groaned. "We’re so dead."

Scene 4: The Mysterious Third Party

Before they could move, a ripple passed through the world.

Something… else was here.

The environment flickered—strange symbols appeared in the sky, NOT created by the AI Game Master.

Kaydee's console pinged with a new message.

🔹 "UNKNOWN USER: YOU ARE NOT ALONE."

Lyra's eyes narrowed. "Uh… who the hell is that?"

Kaydee’s heart pounded. This wasn’t part of the AI’s system. This was someone else.

And they were watching.

TO BE CONTINUED…

EXTRAS:

The Glitchborn Hunters

The Glitchborn Hunters are elite enforcers created by the AI Game Master to eliminate system anomalies like Kaydee. Twisted echoes of former players or NPCs, they are trapped between reality and corrupted data. Each one is a terrifying manifestation of broken code—powerful, relentless, and nearly impossible to reason with.

Core Traits of All Glitchborn Hunters

Appearance: Their bodies are humanoid but fractured—glitched forms shifting between physical reality and raw data. Faces are blurred, sometimes resembling static or pixelated horror, while their limbs flicker with jagged, incomplete geometry.

Movement: They phase in and out of existence, leaving trails of corrupted pixels. Their movements are unnatural—both swift and broken, like lagging animations with occasional bursts of terrifying speed.

Abilities: Each Hunter harnesses Glitch Abilities, granting them powers derived from system errors—allowing reality-breaking attacks that follow no physical laws.

1. The Weaponless Hunter (Melee Specialist)

Code Name: Breakjaw

Role: Close-combat enforcer specializing in raw strength and glitch-powered physical attacks.

Appearance: Breakjaw’s body is the most distorted—an unfinished, jagged form resembling a skeletal frame wrapped in crackling black code. Its face is blank except for a massive, jaw-like void splitting its head horizontally, revealing a glitching black abyss.

Abilities:

Phase Grapple: Can teleport short distances mid-fight, appearing suddenly to grab or strike targets.

Data Shred: Its jagged limbs can cut through physical matter, leaving trails of corrupted data where it strikes.

Unstable Regeneration: If injured, its body glitches and reforms, but the more it repairs, the more unstable and aggressive it becomes.

Behavior: Silent but aggressive. Moves with eerie, stop-motion fluidity before lunging at Kaydee.

2. The Sword-Wielding Hunter (Bladed Executioner)

Code Name: Bytecleaver

Role: Precision assassin wielding a shifting, glitched sword.

Appearance: Bytecleaver has a tall, thin frame cloaked in a jagged, pixelated shroud. Its face flickers between a distorted mask and a data error with occasional flashes of a human face—possibly its former identity. The sword it wields constantly shifts shape—between a katana, a longsword, and an unrecognizable polygonal blade.

Abilities:

Glitch Edge: Its sword can bypass physical defenses, cutting through matter as if the rules of physics don’t apply.

Blade Shift: The sword randomly changes form mid-swing, making its attacks unpredictable and harder to block.

Kill Loop: On striking an opponent, it can trap them in a localized time loop, forcing them to experience the moment of impact repeatedly unless they break free.

Behavior: Methodical and calculating. Unlike Breakjaw, Bytecleaver studies Kaydee’s movements and only strikes when it senses an advantage.

3. The Gun-Wielding Hunter (Ranged Disruptor)

Code Name: Nullshot

Role: Long-range sniper and disruptor using glitch-based firearms.

Appearance: Nullshot appears the most intact but is still wrong—its body is a fusion of tactical armor and shifting data fragments. Its eyes glow an eerie red, flickering with crosshairs, and its rifle constantly shifts between a sniper, a railgun, and impossible weapon shapes.

Abilities:

Reality Piercer: Fires glitch-infused projectiles that phase through walls and armor.

Data Lock: Can “lock” Kaydee’s position temporarily, freezing him in place as if the game lagged.

Recompile: Teleports to high vantage points by “unloading” itself from one location and “reloading” into another.

Behavior: Tactical and distant. Nullshot prefers keeping Kaydee at range, constantly repositioning itself for the perfect shot.

Collective Threat

The Glitchborn Hunters work together seamlessly, their attacks synchronizing in terrifying ways:

Breakjaw forces Kaydee into close combat.

Bytecleaver cuts off his escape.

Nullshot suppresses him from afar.
