Chapter 5 and extras.

📖 CHAPTER 5 – "The Mystery Box and Kaydee’s Totally Normal Inventory (Not)"

🏪 THE MOMENT OF TRUTH…

Kaydee stares at the glitchy menu. The cursor is hovering over the Mystery Box.

Kaydee: "Alright, let’s see what’s behind Door Number Four!"

He selects it. The screen flickers.

A massive golden treasure chest materializes in front of him, glowing with divine light.

Shopkeeper: "O-Oh my! I-Is this the legendary treasure of the gods?!"

Kaydee slowly opens it, anticipation in his eyes…

✨✨✨

> [YOU HAVE OBTAINED: A SINGLE ROCK.]

✨✨✨

Kaydee: "...What."

He stares inside the golden chest.

It’s literally just… a rock.

No glowing aura. No mystical effects. Just a plain, gray rock.

Kaydee: "WHAT KIND OF SCAM—"

The shopkeeper is in shock.

Shopkeeper: "T-That must be… the legendary Philosopher’s Stone!!!"

Kaydee: "BRO, IT'S LITERALLY JUST A ROCK."

> [ITEM DESCRIPTION: "A Rock. Nothing Special. You got scammed."]

Kaydee: "I HATE EVERYTHING."

He facepalms so hard he loses 1 HP.

📦 "OH, I HAVE AN INVENTORY?"

Still in shock, Kaydee randomly presses buttons on his console.

> [SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: INVENTORY DISCOVERED!]

Suddenly, a floating 4x6 grid appears in front of him, just like an RPG or Minecraft inventory.

Kaydee: "Wait, I have an inventory?! Since when?!"

He checks inside…

Slot 1: A Useless Rock

Slot 2: The Plumber’s Plunger

Slot 3: A Single Piece of Bread

Slot 4: A Suspicious Potion (Label: "DO NOT DRINK")

Slot 5: A Rubber Chicken???

Slot 6: An Empty Slot (Wow, so much potential.)

Kaydee: "This looks like the starter pack of a homeless adventurer."

But then—

> [SYSTEM GLITCH DETECTED!]

[RANDOM ITEM SPAWNING IN INVENTORY…]

Kaydee: "Huh?"

Suddenly, Slot 7 lights up… and a NEW ITEM appears!

✨✨✨

> [NEW ITEM: THE UNLIMITED BAG OF DIRT.]

[EFFECT: NEVER RUNS OUT OF DIRT. EVER.]

✨✨✨

Kaydee: "...WHY?!?"

He immediately tries to throw it away.

> [ERROR: ITEM CANNOT BE DROPPED.]

Kaydee: "THIS IS A CURSE, NOT A GIFT!!!"

⛏️ ACCIDENTALLY INVENTING MINECRAFT IN REAL LIFE

Frustrated, he tries placing the dirt on the ground.

…AND IT WORKS.

A solid cube of dirt appears right in front of him.

Kaydee: "Wait. HOLD ON."

He places another. Another dirt block appears.

He places five more. Now he has a tiny dirt tower.

Kaydee: "I CAN BUILD?!?"

> [SYSTEM MESSAGE: CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE INVENTED "BLOCK PLACEMENT MECHANICS"!]

[YOU HAVE UNLOCKED: UNLIMITED TERRAFORMING.]

Kaydee: "...I AM A GOD."

The shopkeeper watches in horror as Kaydee starts building a small house out of dirt RIGHT INSIDE HIS SHOP.

Shopkeeper: "STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Kaydee: "SIR, I AM PLAYING MINECRAFT IN REAL LIFE."

He jumps on the dirt blocks… and crouches.

Kaydee: *"Can I—" (Jumps again) "—SPEED BRIDGE?"

> [YES. YES, HE CAN.]

Kaydee: "I AM A LEGEND."

He speed-bridges out of the shop, leaving the shopkeeper speechless.

🐉 A NEW PROBLEM ARRIVES…

Outside, chaos still reigns. The Glitched Beast is still rampaging in town. Guards are screaming. People are running for their lives.

Kaydee looks down at his new power.

Kaydee: "Wait a minute."

A crazy idea enters his mind.

What if he—

Extras:

🪣 Unlimited Bag of Dirt

> “When all else fails… throw dirt at it.”

📌 Item Type:

Mysterious Glitched Utility Item

📌 Appearance:

A small, seemingly ordinary brown leather pouch with a glitching pixelated emblem of a dirt mound on the front. Despite its size, the bag feels heavier than it looks. When shaken, faint muffled “chunk” sounds echo from inside, as if filled with endless clumps of soil.

Glitch Effect: Occasionally flickers between reality and pixel-art form. Sometimes the dirt it dispenses glitches with odd properties—sparkling gold, rainbow-hued, or even cubes like a sandbox game.

Label: Faded and barely readable, the words “Prototype: Infinite Terraforming Module” are scrawled on a metal tag stitched to the pouch’s inner lining.

📌 Effects & Abilities:

1️⃣ Infinite Dirt Supply – As the name suggests, this bag provides an endless amount of dirt when opened. Kaydee can pull out a handful, or unleash a torrent of soil for creative (and ridiculous) uses.

2️⃣ Dirt Grenade – By compressing the dirt and throwing it with intent, Kaydee can create a temporary "Dirt Bomb" that explodes into a cloud of blinding dust, disorienting enemies.

3️⃣ Dirty Barrier – Rapidly pouring dirt can form makeshift walls or cover, providing Kaydee with temporary protection from ranged attacks or line-of-sight-based enemies.

4️⃣ Weird Dirt Glitch – Occasionally, the bag glitches and dispenses special dirt with random properties:

Sticky Dirt – Glues enemies to the floor.

Bouncy Dirt – Creates a trampoline effect.

Pixel Dirt – Turns objects temporarily 8-bit, including Kaydee.

Mystery Dirt – Causes unpredictable (but hilarious) results.

5️⃣ Earth-Fix Patch – When used on small terrain glitches (holes, missing textures, floating platforms), the dirt temporarily "patches" the error, stabilizing the environment for a short time.

📌 Drawbacks:

Randomized Dirt Type – Kaydee cannot control what kind of special dirt spawns when the glitch activates.

Messy as Heck – Using it frequently leaves everything coated in dirt—Kaydee, his allies, and even NPCs complain about the mess.

Overload Malfunction – If Kaydee pulls too much dirt in one go, the bag occasionally burps out “junk code,” spawning harmless but bizarre objects like pixelated worms, floating cacti, or a screaming dirt chicken.

📌 Lore & Origin:

The Unlimited Bag of Dirt was originally a prototype terraforming tool designed by an eccentric game developer obsessed with sandbox mechanics. When the Glitchworld Phenomenon occurred, the unfinished code warped the item’s purpose, granting it bizarre new powers.

Rumors suggest it was once wielded by a legendary prankster hero who believed, "If you can't beat the boss, bury them in dirt." How it ended up in Kaydee’s possession is a mystery—likely due to a broken loot drop algorithm.

The AI GameMaster considers it a “low-threat anomaly,” but even it underestimates the chaos Kaydee can cause with limitless dirt.

🛒 Character Profile: The Eccentric Shopkeeper

Name: Borkus Baggles

Title: "The Dealmeister of Oddities"

Race: Glitched Gnome (Formerly Human)

Age: ??? (He claims to be "older than your grandma's spaghetti recipe.")

Location: Wobblewitz Town – A quirky, glitch-infested settlement in Gran Misepula where broken code manifests into bizarre and nonsensical items. The town is known for its unpredictable landscape—one side looks medieval, while the other glitches into futuristic structures.

📌 Appearance:

Borkus is a stout, comically disproportionate figure with wild, electric-blue hair that constantly flickers between pixelated and fully rendered textures. His large, round glasses magnify his manic yellow eyes, which twitch excitedly whenever a sale is about to happen.

He wears a patched-together trench coat that appears far too large, stuffed with various trinkets and glitched items. Each pocket hums with unstable energy, and when opened, the items sometimes phase in and out of reality.

A neon sign reading "Borkus’ Bizarre Bazaar – If It’s Broken, I Got It!" hangs lopsidedly above his ramshackle shop—a shop that constantly shifts form, changing from a medieval wooden stall to a futuristic vending machine.

📌 Personality:

Borkus is an energetic, fast-talking salesman with a talent for selling absolutely useless (and occasionally world-breaking) items. He’s incredibly shrewd but prone to hilarious exaggerations when describing his wares. Despite his greedy nature, he has a soft spot for anyone willing to embrace the absurdity of Glitchworld.

He’s both helpful and chaotic—he’ll gladly give you a rare item, but it’ll probably come with a "small side effect," like summoning a dance-off ghost or reversing gravity for five minutes.

Favorite Catchphrase: “No refunds! Unless you bribe me... or bake cookies. I love cookies.”

Quirk: Constantly pulls random items from his coat to demonstrate their function, often resulting in unintended disasters (like summoning a rainstorm indoors).

📌 Role in the Story (Pilot Arc Chapter 5):

When Kaydee stumbles into Wobblewitz Town, he meets Borkus while trying to find a way to stabilize a glitched NPC. Borkus provides Kaydee with the Unlimited Bag of Dirt, calling it "the ultimate fix-all tool." Despite its ridiculous premise, the bag surprisingly helps Kaydee by patching unstable code in the environment.

Borkus drops cryptic hints about the AI GameMaster, suggesting that even the world’s ruler can’t erase "legacy glitches" hidden in odd artifacts.

📌 Notable Items He Sells:

Unlimited Bag of Dirt – Self-replenishing dirt that stabilizes small glitches.

Quantum Yo-Yo – A toy that freezes time for three seconds but only works if you perform a perfect trick.

NPC Memory Gum – Chewing this allows NPCs to regain one random lost memory (results may be unpredictable).

Reverse Boots – Wear these to walk backward faster than you run forward.

The "Why? Button" – A mysterious button that does something… but no one knows what.

📌 Lore Hint:

Borkus is one of the "Legacy Glitchers"—NPCs who retained some memory from before the Glitchworld Phenomenon. He subtly implies that other glitch-resistant NPCs like himself are scattered across Gran Misepula, holding fragments of the truth about the AI GameMaster’s origins.

Despite his chaotic nature, Borkus may know far more than he lets on—and Kaydee’s journey is only beginning to scratch the surface.
