Episode 15

Das left the mansion and took deep breaths as he tried to calm down. He looked back at the mansion and felt the place was like purgatory, where he must be paying for his sins.

"Mr. Das, the car is ready."

Das looked at the driver and smiled kindly as he got into the car. On the way to the orphanage, he began to recap the facts. No one knew Samael better than he did, and he could tell that something about him had changed. Beneath his cruelty towards Dafne, there was a desire that was growing rapidly. He could see how his eyes burned when he looked at her; he was even aware that he provoked her on purpose. He didn't know what exactly he wanted to achieve by doing it, but what he did know was that he enjoyed having her by his side.

When he arrived at the orphanage and was surrounded by all those children, he felt his anxiety subside. When he was a child, his mother emigrated to that country looking for a better future. After a few months there, she met a man whom she married. The problem was that she never mentioned to him that she had a son and for fear that he would not accept her, she preferred to leave him in an orphanage with the promise of going to look for him when she told her husband the truth. But that never happened.

He grew up resenting his mother, whom he never heard from again. He hated her for leaving him, he hated her for lying to him, but most of all he hated her because he still clung to the hope that she would come back for him any minute.

When he came of age, he stayed to work at the orphanage. He had nowhere to go, and he loved everyone there deeply. They were his family, and he did not want to leave them. One day, the orphanage had serious financial problems, and in desperation to lose his home, he began looking for people who wanted to help the orphanage, and that's where he met Samael.

Seeing that man full of elegance and great beauty, he could not avoid keeping his eyes fixed on him. It was like a sculpture of living perfection. The two made a great connection from the first meeting; Samael's visits to the orphanage were almost daily until their young hearts spilled all their accumulated love, becoming a couple who did not hesitate to express their love at any time.

Das was extremely happy; he felt that all the suffering of the past had been worth it just to be able to live as happily as he was. He thanked his mother for leaving him in that orphanage; if he had not been there, he would never have met the love of his life. During the following years, he gave himself body and soul to Samael; he loved him intensely and received the same love from him. They were happy together. When Samael had to travel to another country for business, he felt alone. It was the first time they were going to be apart for so long. The daily calls made him feel comforted, but he missed feeling the warmth of his man. The day Samael was to return from his trip, he prepared with excitement. Seeing him back home made him feel whole again, but his happiness was clouded by the news that Samael gave him. His world came crashing down, and he remembered the false promise his mother had made to him when she abandoned him. Samael took him in his arms and tried to calm him down. He also made him move near his mansion to be closer and to be able to see him more easily.

When Samael returned to the country with his wife, he wanted to go to the mansion and yell at that woman who was ruining his life. However, he did not because he knew that if he did, Samael would hate him, and he did not want to lose him. He preferred to live his life in that guest house, waiting for Samael to visit him from time to time. Although he did not want to accept it, he knew from the beginning that that woman was not just a facade; Samael had changed.

When Samael went almost a month without visiting him, he burned with jealousy and called one of his friends to visit him. He wanted Samael to worry about him when he found out; he wanted him to feel like he could lose him and come back to him. Just as he had calculated, Samael returned and took him with desperation and violence. He felt happy and accepted such an act as a sign that he was still loved.

Upon being discovered, his conscience began to weigh on him. The woman was different than he had imagined, and he unwittingly saw himself reflected in her. He thought he could leave Samael, but he was wrong. That powerful man was not willing to let him go, and that hurt him because he understood Samael's true feelings. That twisted love wrapped in possessiveness became chains for him.

The time he lived in the mansion passed slowly; his days were a copy of the previous one. The times he crossed paths with that woman, he noticed that she was more unhappy than he was because he only got the best part of that situation. He wanted to compensate her in any way, but she was incredibly proud, and without wanting to, she ended up complicating everything. Without realizing it, his mind was filled with concern for that woman; he wanted to save her; he wanted her to be able to run away wherever she wanted, but at the same time, he was afraid that by taking her away, Samael would go crazy and take his frustrations out on him.
