Episode 19

Following the lively event that celebrated the young master's return, the night had crept upon them.

Members of the Setiadi family and their companions had returned to their respective homes to fall back into their usual routines.

Alda, Tama, and Dion, however, were accommodated at the Setiadi family's patriarch's residence.

In that mountainous region stood grand houses, old-fashioned in design, but the most magnificent among them, adorned with gold accents and a resplendent red roof, was the main house of the Setiadi family, occupied by the family head due to his elevated position within the family circle.

Alda and company were now staying in separate rooms — fortunate, since the main house boasted an abundance of them! They planned to stay at the Setiadi residence just for a few days, which was quite sufficient.

The arrangement was primarily to become acquainted with the family of their friend from their secluded martial school, a bond deepened by years of shared experience.

Elsewhere.

On the outskirts of Emerald City, close to the slums, stood a large nightclub. The club was bustling with activity, yet ironically, it was run-down as if poorly maintained.

In a private room, five young men laughed uproariously, each embracing an entertainer.

"Beauty, hurry and bring more drinks!" exclaimed one youth with green-dyed hair.

He was already drunk, not customary to ordering fine drinks, private rooms, or the most beautiful entertainers the Clinton Club had to offer.

The owner of the Clinton Club was a notorious drug dealer in the slum area, explaining why the nightclub was situated so close to such a squalid place.

"Darling, you're so drunk, how about we move to a room?" cooed one of the women teasingly.

She was accustomed to this, hence her voice carried no hint of awkwardness, but oozed seduction, intoxicating the already inebriated man.

"What a splendid idea!" responded the man with green hair.

"Ha-ha-ha...!" His laughter was cringe-worthy.

His companions joined in the laughter, exchanging vulgar jests, then aggressively kissed the women by their sides.

In their minds, the past two days had been a stroke of fortune.

They were the very ones who had responded to the Sanggoro family's call! After a day spent selling looted cars and mobile phones, they reveled in celebration at the club of their dreams.

They'd often visited, yet never indulged in the entertainers due to the prohibitive cost, until now—suddenly flush with cash, they were living out their dreams.

Loud music filled the room as one of the youths, utterly bereft of reason, commenced an intimate act there in public, unconcerned about his friends.

But as they merrily engaged in their private room frivolities, suddenly a thunderous crash echoed.

Baaammmm...!

The private room's door was smashed open from the outside by an extremely burly man! A throng of 10 burst in.

Leading the charge post-door breaching was Sugi, his stare sharp as daggers.

He was furious at the loss of 16 highly capable men from his ranks! Missing were also the targets of their hunt, and now they had minimal leads on the slaughter.

His resolve was to eliminate anyone involved for this incident had severely weakened the hard-built Sanggoro family group.

The five thugs and entertainers jolted in shock, the drunken haze fading, their merriment disrupted.

"Bastard, who dares spoil my fun? Do you want to die?" barked one of the ruffians.

His anger was palpable; he was on the edge of a climax before being rudely interrupted by the door's violent intrusion, and he was seething.

Believing that money bought everything, he'd grown overconfident and arrogant.

The other four erupted in unchecked rage, while the entertainers remained oddly calm despite their exposed bodies, seemingly unaffected by the commotion.

"Bastard, who dares presume to take my life?" Sugi roared back, his temper flaring, heightened by the braggart's words.

Baaammmm...!

Without warning, he kicked the shouting youth, sending him crashing into a wall, crumpled in pain.

The thwarted climax erupted from sheer agony after Sugi's brutal kick.

Groaning in pain, the other four were swiftly subdued and tortured by Sugi's imposing henchmen.

Shrieks erupted from the entertainers, who, notwithstanding their usual fearlessness, were scared by the altercation.

"Silence, or I'll kill anyone who makes a sound!" Sugi bellowed.

After a day spent searching for Riko, Alda, and their companions, with no trace found and the murderers of his force still at large, he surmised the perpetrators were Riko's group.

Following up on the looted cars and phones had led to the discovery that these five petty thugs from the slums were involved.

Sugi therefore had to extract information from them, and these five thugs unwittingly bore the brunt for actions initiated by Riko and friends.

They were caught in the crossfire for their audacity in looting the belongings of the deceased.

Sugi approached the youth he'd kicked, gripping his throat, as he was shirtless and could only be handled thusly.

"Speak up, who slaughtered them?" Sugi demanded, his tone heavy, laced with the weight of a day filled with rage.

"Sir, forgive me, but who do you mean?" inquired the youth, sobering up after being forcibly dispossessed of what he had held back.

Sugi tightened his grip on the young man's throat, then thundered again.

"Don't play dumb; I mean those from whom you took everything!" Despite his anger, Sugi wanted any useful information he could get.

"Do you mean the corpses from the slum area?" the youth clarified.

"Yes, those!" Sugi affirmed tersely, eager for a swift response.

"I don't know; when we arrived, all we found were bodies and an empty car!" the youth insisted truthfully.

"Liar!" Sugi's roar was deafening, resonating through the room.

"Sir, we wouldn't dare lie; that is the true account!" the youth protested, his peers supporting his claim, as he was the most cunning amongst the five.

Baaammmm..!

Sugi struck the young man, then walked out, gesturing a throat-slitting motion.
