Inside the speeding black BMW sedan, the first to hijack the car was someone who couldn't drive, so he relied on his friend for transportation.
The duo immediately turned on the music because the car was equipped with a luxurious sound system.
Loud music filled the interior, but not long after they had started enjoying the tunes, a phone in his pocket rang.
He picked up the phone; because of his foolishness, he hadn't turned off the stolen device and just answered the call.
"Hello... Who's this?" he asked, puzzled.
There was no response on the other end, but the driver swiftly turned off the phone in his friend's hand.
"Are you an idiot? What if that was his friend's number? We could be in danger!" exclaimed the driver as he quickly deactivated the phone.
Even though he was aware his friend wasn't the brightest, he still asked, agitated and frustrated by the situation.
They had robbed someone who was obviously affluent, and he feared that person could track them down, which infuriated him.
Meanwhile, he hadn't taken the phone of the person they robbed.
He had simply taken everything else—if only he had brought a utility knife, he would have even snatched the gold tooth from the leader of the gang that attacked Alda.
"How was I to know? I thought the phone was nice and expensive, good for a few drinks later on!" he replied nonchalantly.
He immediately wore the gold chain necklace he had stolen, instantly enhancing his look with a touch of cool.
His friend didn't want to speak with him anymore, realizing it was pointless and would only serve to increase his anger.

Meanwhile, on the other end.
Sugi, who had made the call, became enraged when it was abruptly disconnected after only a few moments.
He didn't understand what was happening! He tried calling back, but the phone was already switched off.
His anxiety grew, and eventually, he asked the Sanggoro family, who had a knack for tracking, for help and provided the last contacted number.
He didn't have any other henchmen's numbers, except for that of his most skilled subordinate.
But if they really looked, they could find the others.
After waiting for 10 minutes, he heard the last known location of the number was in the slums on the outskirts of Emerald City.
Reluctantly taking matters into his own hands, he set out immediately.

Sugi arrived at the dilapidated outskirts of Emerald City an hour later. Parking on a road scattered with corpses—since it was not a main thoroughfare and rarely traversed by anyone—no one had stumbled upon the bodies until he arrived.
Upon seeing the carnage and recognizing his men, he clenched his fists with fury.
"Damn it, how did they all end up dead?" he shouted, punching the air.
He knew his plan had failed, and his mind raced for solutions.
"Find out where our forces' vehicles are now!" Sugi ordered through his phone.
Without waiting for an answer, he got back into his car and left. He would deal with the bodies of his men later, after returning.
As for Alda, Riko, and the others, they had been driving almost all night along the rural routes of Emerald City.
The road was straight and long, bordered by expansive cornfields on each side. They sped along, faster than when they had driven in Emerald City itself.
Although they were still within the city's limits, they were far from downtown.
Soon, they would enter a small town to the east of Emerald City, commonly referred to as Little Emerald East.
30 minutes later, two large vehicles reached the outskirts of Little Emerald. It was bustling even without the skyscrapers lining the streets—this neighborhood was composed of a few larger buildings and many low-rise structures.
Little Emerald had sprung up because it had many factories processing crops from fields and the eastern mountain slopes—direct transport to Emerald City or distribution to other cities would have been harder to manage.
Little Emerald was developed by the Setiadi family, which still controlled the town, albeit behind the scenes.
Many were unaware of this, the truth being known only to the privileged few.
"Let's stop here to cool our vehicles and fill up on fuel!" Riko said to Tama in the seat beside him.
The Mercedes Benz G-Class led the way, and upon slowing down as they entered town, the following Hummer H2, driven by Dion, also slowed.
A few kilometers in, they found a rest area and pulled over.
Despite the prevalence of luxury cars in Little Emerald, their two vehicles garnered attention from the few there refueling, even though it was late at night with dawn approaching.
"Wow, what a gorgeous car!" someone exclaimed from a Volkswagen.
"If you like it so much, then buy one!" his girlfriend reminded him.
"Babe, someday we'll succeed and get one!" he replied.
They had just returned from a night out in Emerald City and were now back in Little Emerald.
Riko and Dion preferred to park their cars on the edge and walked over to the rest area to buy something.
Upon their departure, the man in the Volkswagen voiced his disbelief.
"No way, it's gotta be broke kids inside!" he claimed.
"Baby, what if those are stolen? Nowadays, luxury cars like that get stolen all the time!" his girlfriend speculated.
"Let's not worry about it. We don't want any trouble," he responded, visibly intimidated after witnessing Riko's fierce but elegant appearance complemented by a sharply chiseled jawline and piercing eyes.
Riko, Alda, Tama, and Doni exited the vehicles and headed for the restaurant at the rest area.
With no other customers at the early hour, and the restaurant only serving fast food, they easily found a place to sit.
"What can I get for you?" asked the middle-aged waitress.
"Just a coffee for me," said Alda.
"Another coffee, and this, this, and these..." Tama pointed to several items on the menu.
Riko and Dion ordered only what they needed.
The middle-aged waitress wrote down their orders and swiftly turned to prepare them.
