"This is your damn fault," Daniela had come up behind the man. "Are you going to tell me you regret that I can't have children?" Daniela spoke with a mocking tone. "This is your damn fault. You shouldn't have married her, shouldn't have left her family hanging, shouldn't have married her. This forced marriage is a mistake. If she hadn't married you, her health would be alright."

"Enough, Daniela. Shut your damn mouth and leave me alone," Arturo had a murderous look in his eyes.

"I will make sure my friends help her get out of this miserable marriage, and it will be on your account, Arturo Lacronte, that you divorce her."

"You're not going to do anything at all. I will deal with this. I've heard that your father is in poor health. If you defy me, I'll bring your family's company to the ground. You choose, your father's life or rebelling against me."

Daniela shook her head. Arturo had touched a weak spot in her.

"Fine, stay married to her. But I will always be above you. I will make my friend's nobility become your headache."

"Ha," Arturo chuckled. "She doesn't even know where she stands. She has the mind of a child. I didn't force her. If she married me, it was her own decision. Now get out of my sight."

After that conversation, Arturo didn't even go in to see Susan. He left immediately, but Daniela was left with an ironic smile.

During those three days, Daniela had been by Susan's side. "You're not going to tell me exactly what happened and how you ended up married to that good-for-nothing husband of yours? I don't even know what excuses to make anymore when Aunt Gema calls and asks. I had to make up one that you had won a trip to Italy to participate in an Art Exhibition," Daniela sat down next to Susan.

"Well, today I'm finally leaving. Anyway, thank you for doing that for me. I don't want to worry Mom, especially when she has enough to deal with Dad."

"Are you going to tell me what happened or not? Because I can grab my phone and have someone investigate," Daniela threatened.

"Arturo's mother caught us being intimate the night before that happened. She accused me of even hiring gangsters to ruin Gabriela's life. And to top it off, since she noticed what happened in the garden, she gave me two pills. I suppose it was the pill that prevents me from getting pregnant," Daniela fought to remain composed at Susan's words. Hopefully, they were just regular contraceptive pills. But they were two pills that destroyed the possibility of becoming a mother.

"So, it was Arturo's mother. Well, it was never a secret that Gabriela was her favorite, but she will still be the mistress because Arturo won't give you a divorce."

"You're wrong. If I tell him it was his mother, he won't believe me. And with that famous accusation against me, I know he can give me the divorce."

"Do you think this was only an act committed by your mother-in-law? I think Gabriela also knows what happened."

"Gabriela is my sister. She wouldn't do that to me."

"Oh, of course, and I'm Mother Teresa of Calcutta," Daniela stood up. "Your sister wants to take Arturo away from you."

"Arturo loves her. He's always been hers," Susan shrugged. "Besides, our fake marriage is falling apart. When I leave here, I will ask for a divorce."

"You're not going to do that," Daniela firmly refused.

"I don't want to be tied to Arturo anymore, especially after sleeping with someone else. Now that I'm going to accuse his mother, I think this forced marriage is coming to an end."

"What have you done?" Daniela's eyes widened while Susan let out a sigh. "The night at the club, I don't know what happened. I don't have a good memory; I don't even remember what occurred. The next day, when I woke up, Arturo was already in the room."

"Are you telling me that you had sex with another man, your husband found out, and he didn't just serve you divorce papers on a silver platter?" Daniela smiled dangerously.

Arturo was there first thing in the morning.

"You didn't sleep with another man, you know Arturo, you know his ego, nobody touches Arturo Lacronte's woman, Susan, for God's sake it's logical that maybe after that dinner and the big Ball he had with Gabriela, his little toy, which is you, got lost, and you ended up with Cesar Abdo. Do you really think Arturo Lacronte is going to allow you to be with another man?"

"Not his ego, but accidents happen," Susan shrugged, "He couldn't prevent me from being with another man, and his fury the next day didn't help at all, it didn't stop anything."

"Think what you want, but let me tell you, Arturo is not going to give you a divorce, you know why? Because he is very satisfied with your body, and he won't allow others to touch it."

"Mrs. Lacronte, this is the Discharge Order authorizing your release from the Hospital. If you have any doubts or discomfort, you have to come visit me. Additionally, here is my cell phone number, you can contact me, even if it's not health-related matters." The sparkle in the Doctor's eyes thrilled Daniela.

An hour later, Susan had left the Hospital, but she hadn't gone to the Lacronte House. Daniela took her to her own House.

"I have to go to the Company with Arturo."

"Wanna bet he won't agree to give you a divorce? And there's a great chance he'll end up giving you sex."

"Stop saying stupid things, I'll go to the taxi station and..."

"How could you even consider taking a taxi? I'll go in my father's Company car, I'll take you to the charming demon's Company, known as your husband. Also, what kind of outfit is that?" Daniela made a face.

"It's not like I just came out of the hospital, stop making trouble and let's go. The longer we wait, the more my courage to face Arturo diminishes."

When Susan got out of the vehicle and entered the Company, the receptionist had let her through. When she reached the Presidential Area, she didn't come across anyone. So Susan dared to enter without announcing herself, she pushed the door, and the scene before her eyes left her petrified.

Her sister Gabriela was only in a bra, while Arturo had his shirt undone. It was evident what had happened in that room.
