Episode 7

"Aunt, you're hurting my sister," Gabriela's sweet voice had surprised both women. Gabriela Fontaine appeared like a princess, her gaze cold.

"Dear Gabi, stop being so kind to people who don't deserve it. Remember that she only took advantage of the situation to..."

"You have arrived," a hand firmly placed on Susan's waist caused a tingling sensation throughout her body. Arturo appeared completely different from the Beast she knew, revealing a different side in this intimate setting.

"Arturo," Gabriela whispered. Just then, Susan raised her head upon hearing her sister's voice. She wanted to move away from Arturo, not wanting to make her sister feel bad, but Arturo didn't allow her to make that attempt.

"How are you, Gabriela? Mother, if you excuse us, Susan and I need to go inside."

"Gabriela has no one to accompany her, Susan will be with her friend, and I don't think your wife would mind if you entered with Gabriela, right, Susan?"

"Of course, Aunt. I" But before Susan could finish speaking, her husband interjected.

"My wife is very noble, but I don't have time for nobility." With those words, Arturo led Susan away with him.

Susan could feel the penetrating gaze on her back, it felt like that gaze was burning her. She had no doubt it came from her mother-in-law.

"I don't like lateness." Arturo made Susan stop in her tracks.

"Aunt, I..."

"I don't care what happened to you. You should've had the courage to leave quickly." Arturo's gaze was terrifying as Susan retreated, causing her back to collide with the wall. Anyone seeing them would think they were having an affair.

"Arturo Lacronte," the voice of another person interrupted them.

"Cesar Abdo." Arturo turned to look at the man, intertwining his hand with Susan's.

"And this beautiful woman, is she your sister?" Rivalry was evident between the two men.

"She's my wife, Mrs. Lacronte." Susan felt small in the presence of both individuals, but she had to cling to Arturo.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Lacronte." The man named Cesar approached Susan with the intention of greeting her, but Arturo stepped forward.

"Stay away from my wife." With those words, Arturo advanced, and with Susan holding his hand, they left the man with a menacing smile as they walked away.

The interior of the Business Salon was filled with people involved in the business. Though Susan was holding hands with Arturo, she still felt intimidated. They arrived at a table where other well-known businessmen were gathered.

"Mr. Lacronte, it's a pleasure to have you with us tonight." An older man wearing glasses, who resembled a science professor, stood up to greet Arturo.

"Good evening, Montero." Arturo had a habit of addressing people by their last name and maintaining an intimidating posture while speaking or greeting others.

"Mrs. Lacronte, welcome to our circle." The gray-haired man extended his hand to greet Susan, but Arturo once again interfered. Before their hands could make contact, Arturo cut off the handshake.

"I don't allow my wife to have contact with other men." Susan's eyes widened at Arturo's outburst.

"Excuse me, Mr. Javier Montero, the Mr. and Mrs. Lacronte have a fetish for skin-to-skin contact."

"Oh, of course. I should have sanitized my hands before touching the Lacronte's. It was my imprudence." While Arturo's assistant dealt with Javier Montero, Susan wanted to beat her husband to death.

"Why were you so out of line?" The couple had taken their seats in the center of the salon, unaware that tonight, the Businessperson of the Year would be chosen. Susan didn't know she didn't belong to Arturo, and she could greet whoever she wanted.

"Why are you so beautiful and talkative, you seem like a parrot" Susan didn't know whether to feel offended or flattered by Arturo's words, "Furthermore, you are my wife, and as long as you remain married to me, your contact with other people is completely limited."

"You are a demon," Susan looked down. "Looking at the heels I'm wearing is much better than talking to you.

"I suppose having sex with you is much more appealing than talking to you, you're better at moaning than talking." Arturo had grinned, provoking even more irritation in the petite woman.

Both of them stopped arguing; Arturo had received reports from his secretary, and Susan felt more like furniture until her green eyes gleamed upon seeing Daniela's presence. Of course, the blonde seemed to catch her friend's gaze as well, raising her head and meeting Susan's eyes.

The night went on with business conversations, and the Host spoke until the lights went out.

"The time has come to announce the Businessperson of the Year," the man exclaimed. By that point, Susan had already had several drinks since Arturo had received greetings from countless people, and Susan had been left in the background. So, she started to drink to the point that she was now a bit dizzy.

The round lights had begun a unique show until they stopped above Arturo's head, and Susan revealed a splendid smile.

"Arturo Lacronte," the man stood up as the round light accompanied him to the center of the dance floor. "And, of course, the Lady of Gold for the Businessperson of Gold is," once again, the lights started moving and stopped above Gabriela Fontaine's head. "The Lady of Gold is Gabriela Fontaine." The Host stopped talking, and all the lights went off, leaving only the spotlight on Gabriela and Arturo, as Gabriela's steps guided her towards Arturo, her shy face, her princess-like demeanor.

He took her hands, and everyone was captivated by the image of a perfect couple. Susan smiled; she had no problem with her sister dancing with her husband. In fact, she could even act as a matchmaker since she was quite aware that her sister and Arturo loved each other.

"You are not Arturo's wife, so why are you dancing with your sister? Ah, she is the love of his life."

"Mr. Cesar," Susan turned around, Cesar Abdo was a very handsome man, and a tipsy Susan was quite charming. - Our marriage is arranged, he and I don't share any feelings in common. Her face was flushed, and her green eyes were bright. The dance continued, although Arturo showed no emotion, he danced with Gabriela, who displayed a lot of excitement and shyness.

"Then, Mrs. Lacronte, you won't have any problems accompanying this poor man to a nightclub. You are not needed here."

"I don't trust strangers, and I don't go out with them." Susan took an olive to her mouth; her lips were sensual, and Daniela was also watching them.

"Well, in order to stop being a stranger, you should get to know me." Cesar got even closer to Susan, and she didn't step back. At a safe distance, a woman was sweating cold observing the closeness between her boss's wife and another man.

"Fine," Susan smiled. "But I'll go to the restroom first, wait for me outside." Five minutes later, Susan came out. "Let's wait a little longer." Cesar nodded, and then another woman joined them. "This is Daniela, my best friend, and she is going to accompany us."

"Nice trick," Cesar greeted Daniela, and after that, they distanced themselves, just as the dance had ended. Of course, Gabriela wanted to continue dancing, but Arturo apologized.

"Where is Susan?" Arturo asked his assistant, who swallowed hard.

"She's gone." Arturo didn't let his assistant say the worst part. He didn't even give his speech; he left the room directly.

When Arturo Lacronte arrived at the Villa, a group of 3 people entered the most prestigious nightclub in London. Arturo went to his room and couldn't find it, so he called her, but the call never connected.
