Robert doesn't answer him, he just walks towards the door, when Leonardo tells him to hit Rodrigo now.
"I'm not here because of my brother," Robert said.
"But you should be, he and your wife are fooling you, they both want you to believe the baby is yours, but it's not, they're together and you don't even notice, maybe I'm not the one who should be wearing glasses, Grace pretends to be a saint, but she's only after your money, you really think a beautiful woman like her would be interested in a man who was in a coma? She set everything up with your brother so you two would meet," Leonardo lied shamelessly, following a plan he'd made with Rodrigo to make Robert angry and leave his wife.
Robert didn't answer, he just left. Leonardo managed to leave his thoughts a little messed up, could it be that Grace was planning this with his brother, could it be that she was only pretending to love him, that from the beginning they had met on purpose, but deceiving him?
He soon stopped thinking about it, knowing it was a trap, as he connected the dots between who was lying and who was telling the truth, despite almost getting carried away by what Leonardo said about her not being able to love him since he was in a coma and is now paraplegic, that hurt Robert's ego.
He takes his cell phone and calls a friend, who handles some financial situations for him, saying that by the end of the day he wants Leonardo's perfume company to be bankrupt.
As soon as he hangs up, Edgar says:
"I thought you were just going to hit him."
"I thought so too, but he tried to turn me against my wife, so I don't care if he's family anymore, I want him to know that his actions have consequences and now I need you to help me with a plan, I want to find out what my brother is planning behind my back, since Leonardo implicated him with my wife," Robert said.
Edgar looks at Robert and says he doesn't trust Rodrigo and believes he may have been involved in the plane crash.
Robert ends up getting offended by Edgar, because he can't believe that his younger brother would do something against him, to the point of wanting him dead.
"Rodrigo is not the same Robert, you can't believe everything your brother says to your face, he's not that boy who cried missing his parents, he ended up losing his way and it's not Mr. Martin's fault, nor yours, his greed is leading him to his own precipice, he doesn't care about being your own blood, all he wants is the power you have in the company, that blinded him."
Robert was thoughtful, but he refused to believe that his brother would do something so wicked as to have him killed, he still believed that his younger brother, despite being greedy, would not be able to hurt him to the point of taking his life, but soon all that would change, since there is nothing covered that cannot be revealed.
In a matter of half an hour, Leonardo's phone starts ringing and he soon finds out that his company is filing for bankruptcy, what he did to his ex-fiancee's family was turning against him.
Grace was at the mansion, it was almost lunchtime and Rodrigo goes to the room where she was and like a good psychopath, he does his reverse psychology by saying:
"I won't continue with this farce, my brother needs to know that we set him up, I don't want to deceive him anymore."
"You didn't take your meds today, did you? Are you crazy? What are you trying to do now, you murderer?" Grace said irritably.
"Murderer? You can't call me that, you haven't seen me kill anyone yet, you want me to get my lawyer to make you pay for defamation?" Rodrigo asked.
"Your brother and your grandfather may not see the worm that you are, but I know what you're capable of, I'm not defaming you, because you can fool others, not me, it bothers you, it makes you furious to know that I don't believe in you, I will open your brother's and your grandfather's eyes, I will show them what you are, you worm, you always had everything and it seems that it's not enough, your greed and arrogance will destroy you, either with your madness or with your stupidity, I won't let you get what you want, you won't kill your brother.
Rodrigo puts his hands around Grace's neck, in a moment of sheer fury, and she starts to struggle, until he lets go and she goes back to breathing, touching her neck, after clearing her throat, Robert arrives and sees them both in the living room and Edgar notices that Grace doesn't look well.
"It's a good thing you're both here, I want to talk to you," Robert said, approaching his wife, he immediately noticed her neck was red, he looked at his brother and said,
"Be careful with Leonardo, he told me today that you and Grace were plotting against me, if I were you brother, I wouldn't continue being his friend, since he defamed you behind your back."
"He's right Robert, I won't keep lying to you, Grace and I had an agreement, all she ever wanted was your money and she let me get carried away by the desire to become CEO of Tec-Ham, I'm sorry brother, but I can't keep up this charade."
"Robert, he's lying, I didn't make any deals with him, I didn't even know it was you when I married you, your grandfather made a marriage arrangement with me, but I didn't make any kind of deal with your brother, you need to believe me," Grace said.
He touched her neck and asked:
"Rodrigo, how can I trust you when a while ago you were choking my wife, who is pregnant with my first child, enough is enough, I don't know what kind of deal you made with Leonardo, but if you keep lying to me, you'll suffer the same fate as him and I won't care if you are my brother.
