Episode 6

Ryan watched as Sean slammed his bedroom door shut and then listened to Ajeng speaking to herself.

Patience and seek forgiveness.

At this, Ryan smiled; usually, the other caregivers would break into tears or swear immediately, but not this village girl.

"Uncle Ryan, what brings you here? Are you here to see Sean?"

"I was planning to, but it seems he is angry."

"He's angry at me, not you, Uncle Ryan. Please come in," Ajeng replied, stepping aside to give Ryan better access to the door.

Truth be told, Ajeng was also worried about Sean's condition inside. It would be better if the boy had someone with him, and thankfully Ryan had arrived.

The handsome man then slowly opened the door and saw Sean already asleep, his back turned to the doorway.

"Sean," Ryan called out as he entered and sat at the edge of the bed.

Sean remained still, pretending to be asleep.

"It looks like he's asleep, Jeng. You should head back to your room. Try to see Sean early tomorrow to get ready for school."

Ajeng was already inside the room, standing a couple of steps in front of Ryan.

"I'll sleep here, Uncle."

"Sleep where? There's only one bed here."

"There's a long couch." Ajeng pointed to the sofa near the window.

Ryan scanned Ajeng's small frame; she was probably around 145 cm tall, slender, so it seemed it wouldn't be a problem for her to sleep on the couch.

"Alright then, there's a blanket and a pillow in Sean's closet. Use them so you stay comfortable."

Ajeng smiled shyly, surprised to receive such concern from an attractive man.

"Oh my God, remember to seek forgiveness, Jeng. Focus, your job is to take care of Sean, not get lost in dreams of becoming a lady."

"Thank you, Uncle," Ajeng replied obediently.

Ryan left the room, chuckling softly to himself as he went.

He found the sudden reddening of Ajeng's cheeks amusing.

"Ajeng," Ryan said, as if memorizing her name.

Inside Sean's room.

Ajeng quickly grabbed a pillow and blanket. Sean didn't like to sleep in the dark, while Ajeng always slept with the lights off.

Two different personalities.

So to manage to sleep, Ajeng covered herself entirely with the blanket. The chill from the air conditioning also made it comfortable for her to sleep that way.

At 11 pm, Sean opened his eyes and saw Ajeng sleeping on the couch.

A warm feeling unexpectedly crept into his cold heart.

Sean showed no reaction; he just watched Ajeng until he fell asleep again.

"Sen! Wake up Sen, it's morning," said Ajeng, now 6 am.

"Come on, bathe with Malvin!" Ajeng called out louder. Although they seemed to fight the night before, Ajeng wanted things to seem normal that morning.

And hearing Malvin's name mentioned, Sean opened his eyes.

"I'll bathe alone, Ajeng needn't come in," Sean commanded.

"Okay," Ajeng replied obediently and with enthusiasm.

Sean dressed himself in his uniform; Ajeng only had to neaten it up a bit.

Ajeng would follow him to school from 7:30 am until 10 am.

Every morning Reza would drive his son, and a chauffeur would pick him up when it was time to return.

"Where are you going?" Reza asked when Ajeng was about to sit in the middle seat.

"To sit down, sir."

"You sit in the front."

Huh? Ajeng was confused. Reza was driving the car himself, but he was asking her to sit in the front. She wanted to accompany Sean in the back.

*Could Mr. Reza be interested in me?* Ajeng thought\, her cheeks flushing.

She was unaware that the caregiver/servant's seat was in front. The middle was reserved for the employer.

Ajeng almost blushed until she saw Reza's cold face and sharp gaze.

Thump! Ajeng's blush subsided, replaced with sudden fear.

She sat stiffly next to the Master.
