"So this? So this is the answer to why Sean's attitude changed?" Reza asked with a cold voice, his gaze sharp, piercing right through the heart.

Meanwhile, Ajeng was already in tears, because that was the harsh reality.

An agreement had been made between them, that Ajeng had to take Sean to meet his mother and in return, Sean's attitude would change for the better.

"I'm sorry, Pa."

"Don't you dare, Jeng! You realize you're just a maid! You have no right to interfere in our family matters! Sean is our responsibility! How could you take him to someone else? Hah!!"

Ajeng's body trembled hearing the shouting. She was aware, very aware that this was her fault. That's why Ajeng had no defense, she could only bow her head and cry, clasping her hands tightly and trembling with fear. She couldn't retreat as her body hit the wall.

Meanwhile, Reza felt no pity for what he saw. Anger still consumed him.

All those bitter memories were still vivid in his mind.

Mona never wanted Sean. The woman even intended to abort their child just because her tender had succeeded at the time. If Reza hadn't begged and prostrated himself, Mona would have aborted their child.

Reza thought her attitude would change when their child was born, but it didn't. Mona became even more self-absorbed with her business's success. In front of the Aditama family, Mona yelled that she didn't want to care for Sean, didn't want to breastfeed him, even demanded a divorce from Reza and didn't want custody of Sean.

Recalling all of that, Reza clenched his fists tightly. His anger erupted to the point that he finally threw a powerful punch.

"Ahh!" Ajeng cried out, closing her eyes with her hands, while Reza punched the wall right next to her head.

Until the man's hand was injured and blood was drawn.

Ajeng cried harder, now unable to stand and immediately knelt, hiding her face.

"I'm sorry, Pa, I was wrong," Ajeng begged sincerely, speaking between sobs.

"Look, look at how Mona treats Sean. If she ever hurts my child, be prepared to leave the Aditama house immediately."

And after saying that, Reza left just like that.

Ajeng cried.

Ajeng kept crying.

She cried endlessly for what seemed like an eternity.

When she returned to the apartment, she didn't see Mama Mona and Sean.

The lights in the living room were also off again.

Ajeng sat on the couch, lamenting her wretched fate.

"Mum," Ajeng whispered, truly missing her mother. But it was impossible to return to the village. It hadn't even been 2 months since she left. Even if she did go back, Ajeng wouldn't be able to face Erwin and Elis.

"Oh Allah," she murmured sadly, feeling a heavy burden in her heart.

Morning came.

Today, Sean didn't go to school, the boy decided to take a day off, wanting to spend as much time as possible with his mama.

"Sean, call Sister Ajeng, darling, you need to take a bath," Mama Mona said.

"Why do I have to call Sister Ajeng? I want to take a bath with Mama."

"Mama can't, Mama needs to contact clients first, Mama didn't go to work yesterday waiting for you to come. So now go out and call Sister Ajeng, okay?"
