The morning sun poured through the curtains...casting a golden glow over the cozy apartment of jin....Jungkook stretched lazily, his muscles still heavy with sleep....before glancing down at the small bundle curled against his chest..... The puppy, now comfortably nestled in his arms.... let out a soft sigh....its tiny paws twitching in a dream.....

Jungkook smiled..... “You’re really making yourself at home, huh?” he murmured...scratching behind the pup’s ears before gently setting it down on the bed....
Today was special..... Today, he was finally going to see his grandma......
The thought filled him with a warmth that reached deep into his heart.... After quickly freshening up....he dressed casually....an oversized cream sweater, light-washed jeans.... and a beanie to shield his messy hair..... Slipping on a pair of sneakers.... he grabbed the small bouquet of flowers he had picked up the night before.....his grandma favorite flowers.....
Seokjin.... who had been up long before him....was already in the kitchen sipping his morning tea.... As soon as he saw Jungkook, he raised an eyebrow.....

“So, you’re finally awake..." he teased... “I thought you’d sleep till noon at this rate...."

Jungkook grinned.... grabbing a piece of toast from Jin’s plate.. “Hyung, I’m meeting my grandma, not going to war....that l need to be wake up at dawn..."

Jin rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless.....“Go on, then.....Give her my love.”
Jungkook took a deep breath as he stood in front of the familiar wooden door of his grandmother’s home.... The small house was nestled between lush greenery.... a place that had always been his haven..... His fingers tightened around the bouquet as his heart thudded with anticipation..... He hadn’t told her he was coming back....he wanted to surprise her....
Taking a deep breath.
..he finally knocked...
For a moment....there was silence.... Then, the faint sound of footsteps approached before the door creaked open...
His grandmother stood there, her silver hair neatly tied back.... wearing a simple yet elegant dress....Her frail hands trembled as she took in the sight before her, her eyes widening in shock.....

J-Jungkook...?” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Jungkook grinned....“Halmeoni, I’m home...."

Tears welled in her eyes as she reached out... placing a trembling hand on his cheek.... “Is it really you...? Am I dreaming..?”

Jungkook chuckled softly.... covering her hand with his own.... “No, Halmeoni....it’s really me.”
Without another word... she pulled him into a tight embrace.... her small frame surprisingly strong as she held onto him..... Jungkook wrapped his arms around her....burying his face into her shoulder.... inhaling the comforting scent of home....

“My sweet boy… You didn’t tell me you were coming back...” she scolded...though her voice wavered with emotion....

“I wanted to surprise you...” Jungkook admitted...pulling back to look at her properly.... “Did I do a good job...?"

His grandmother swatted his arm lightly....“You nearly gave me a heart attack...you rascal..."

Jungkook laughed. “I missed you, Halmeoni...."

She cupped his face with both hands...her thumb gently caressing his cheek.... “I missed you more, my dear. Come in.. come in..."
Inside the Warmth of Home
The moment Jungkook stepped inside...he was hit with the familiar scent of freshly brewed tea and home-cooked food.... Everything was just as he remembered...

“Sit, sit,” his grandmother urged... bustling toward the kitchen.... “I’ll make you something to eat..."

Jungkook quickly followed her.... taking her hands gently.... “Halmeoni...you don’t have to rush...I just got here...."

"Nonsense.." she huffed...waving him off...."You must be starving.... I won’t have my grandson looking so thin..."

Jungkook smiled fondly.... watching her move around the kitchen with practiced ease.... “You always say that.”

“Because it’s true....” She shot him a pointed look before pulling out a tray of freshly made dumplings and a steaming pot of stew....“You work too hard....Have you been taking care of yourself...?”

Jungkook sighed...rubbing the back of his neck.... “I try to, Halmeoni... It’s just… work keeps me busy....”

She clicked her tongue.... “Fame is a heavy burden.... But you must never forget to take care of yourself first....”

Jungkook nodded...his heart swelling with warmth.... “I promise I’ll do better.”

His grandmother placed a bowl in front of him and patted his hand....“Good....Now, eat.”

As Jungkook took his first bite, a satisfied hum left his lips....“Ahh, nothing beats Halmeoni’s cooking...."

His grandmother chuckled.... “Of course not....Now, tell me everything.... How long will you stay..? What are your plans?..."
