The moment Jungkook stepped off the private plane onto Korean.... a wave of emotions crashed over him....Yet, as much as he longed for familiarity.... there was an underlying ache in his chest......a reminder of why he had stayed away for so long....

His company...HYBE, had arranged everything for his return.... including a team of bodyguards to ensure his safety..... But Jungkook hated feeling watched.... confined.....He had spent years under the spotlight... and today... he just wanted to be alone....

So he did what he always did..... He ditched them..... The black SUV assigned to him was supposed to take them straight to his hotel....but as soon as they neared a crowded intersection.... Jungkook saw his chance..... Pulling his cap lower over his forehead and adjusting his mask....he slipped out the door the moment the car disappearing into the crowd before his guards could react.....

By the time they realized he was gone....he was already blocks away.... The cemetery was not far... and he preferred to walk..... The cemetery itself ...being so close to the heart of the city...was usually visited by dozens of people paying respects to their loved ones. But today…

It was empty. Jungkook frowned...This part of city was usually crowded in afternoon, but today the roads eerily empty .....

But he ignored the unsettling feeling and stepped through the iron gates....his boots crunching softly against the gravel path....

The walk to his parents grave was slow....His heart pounded steadily....a dull ache settling in his chest....

When he finally reached her resting place.... he knelt.....

“Mom...dad..."... he whispered.... his voice barely audible behind his mask..... “I’m back."

His fingers traced the cold marble...his eyes lingering on the names etched into the stone.... He didn’t cry. He don't want to cry.... But the silence around him felt heavier than ever....

The weight on his heart lifted ever so slightly as he sat there... his head bowed...No cameras.... no flashing lights....just him and the memory of the people who had loved him unconditionally....

He lost track of time... letting the quiet surround him...until a sudden shift in the air made him glance up....

The distant sound of tires... A convoy. Jungkook furrowed his brows as he stood up.... dusting off his jeans....He stepped out of the cemetery gate just as the sleek black cars passed...

The realization clicked...this was no ordinary procession. It was royal. So that’s why the city was so empty.....

he barely had a second to think about it when a sudden yelp caught his attention...... A small, trembling puppy had wandered onto the road....the vehicles heading its way...

Jungkook’s instincts took over. Without hesitation...he sprinted forward.... The screeching of tires filled the air as the lead car came to a abrupt halt...the smell of burnt rubber lingering as Jungkook crouched down....shielding the frightened pup with his arms....
