As the black convoy disappeared down the road.... Jungkook exhaled slowly.... adjusting the mask over his face..... His heart was still beating a little too fast...not from fear, but from something else.... Something unexplainable....

For a fleeting moment....when the guards had parted just enough...he had locked eyes with someone.....

It was only for a second... but that gaze... it was different. Sharp.... Intense...Cold, yet strangely captivating...The presence behind it had felt heavy, as if the world itself bent around him.....Jungkook couldn’t see the man's face...but those dark eyes...so full of power...had been enough to stir something in him.....

But he shook the feeling off..... It didn’t matter.... Instead, he looked down at the small, trembling puppy in his arms.... Its big brown eyes stared back at him... filled with trust and innocence.....A small smile tugged at his lips.....

"Guess you're coming with me... little one..."he murmured... gently stroking its fur....

"You did what?...." Seokjin’s voice rang through the living room as he stood with his arms crossed.... looking absolutely unimpressed.....

"first you ditched your bodyguards the moment you landed.... ran off to a cemetery alone.... and then almost got run over by a royal convoy..."

"I didn’t almost get run over..." Jungkook cut in....setting the puppy down on the couch. "I stopped in time."

Seokjin groaned...rubbing his temples...."And now you have brought my home a stray? ....Seriously?"

Jungkook smirked... plopping down beside the small creature. "Come on... hyung....Look at him.... He’s adorable."

Seokjin eyed the puppy....who let out a tiny yawn and curled up into a ball.... His expression softened for a brief second before he scowled again.... "That’s not the point... You can’t just pick up every animal you find...."

Jungkook leaned back.... stretching his legs out...."Why not? I love animals....Besides. he had nowhere to go...."
