Prince of My Heart Episode 11

The ride to the Prime Minister’s office was silent....yet within Taehyung’s mind....there was nothing but noise..... He sat with his usual composed posture....his expression unreadable as he stared out of the tinted window....watching the city blur past..... today, for the first time....he felt an unfamiliar disturbance within himself.....A distraction......

His thoughts flickered back to the moment outside the cemetery..... The man in the mask. The way his eyes dark as the night yet shining with million of stars.... had locked onto Taehyung’s own.....

lt Had only been for a second.... A brief moment..... Yet, Taehyung found himself remembering every detail the shape of his eyes....the way the wind had tousled his dark hair over his forehead ....the subtle tension in him as he clutched the small animal against his chest...... He hadn’t even seen his full face.....yet something about him refused to leave Taehyung’s mind......

Why? He clenched his jaw...irritation flaring within him.... His fingers curled into a fist against his lap. He never lost control.... Not in his emotions....not in his thoughts. ....That was the foundation of his strength.... So why was this different?

As the convoy pulled up to the grand entrance of the Prime Minister’s residence.... Taehyung forced all distractions from his mind.....His face was unreadable, his posture unwavering as he stepped out of the car..... No one would ever know. No one would ever see.

the grand conference room of the Prime Minister’s office was bathed in warm lighting.... the polished table stretching across the center.... Government officials, advisors, and military personnel sat in their designated seats....their eyes trained on the Crown Prince as he took his place at the head of the table.....

Taehyung’s expression was unreadable....his gaze sharp as he surveyed the room..... On the surface, he appeared just as he always did stoic, calculating..... untouchable..... But beneath that flawless exterior, something was amiss.....

For the first time in his life....he wasn’t entirely present..... Words drifted around him.... yet none of it fully registered.... He caught enough to maintain his façade.... nodding at the right moments....offering authoritative responses when necessary..... But the weight of the discussion..... the politics he handle with ease... felt distant....

Instead, his mind kept pulling him back to a pair of beautiful eyes....

Taehyung’s gaze flickered to the speaker....one of his senior advisors, looking at him expectantly..... He realized too late that he had missed a question...... A rare mistake.....

Annoyance flickered in his chest.... but he kept his face impassive..... “Repeat that.”

The advisor hesitated for a brief second before clearing his throat. “We were discussing the upcoming diplomatic visit from the Russian delegation..... Would you prefer to handle it personally, or shall we entrust it to Minister Park?”

Taehyung barely spared the man a glance before replying.... “Minister Park will handle the discussions..... I will step in if necessary....”

The advisor nodded.... but Taehyung noticed the subtle exchange of glances between some of the officials..... It was unusual for him to delegate such matters.....he was known for his control over political dealings......

He exhaled slowly.... This was unacceptable. He was the Crown Prince.... an enigma....he had never allowed anything....anyone....to disturb his focus.....

He forced himself to push it aside...straightening in his seat... his gaze hardening..... This was the first and last time he would allow himself to be distracted.... Whatever spell those eyes had cast on him… it need to be ended now.....
