Episode 18

3, 2, 1… The fireworks started, and we all hugged. A new year begins, a new beginning, a new life.

2 weeks later….

“Congratulations, miss, you're pregnant.”

“What?!”… Tania and I looked at each other in surprise.

“These past few weeks, I haven’t felt well. I haven't stopped vomiting, I've been getting dizzy very often, and I haven't gotten my period. My grandmother told me that these were symptoms of pregnancy, so to be sure, we went to the doctor, and it was what my grandmother had said.”

Tania and I left the room. Emma, Lucia, and my grandmother were waiting outside when they saw us come out; they approached.

I'm going to my children’s room to see if they're ready to be taken to school. I have to hurry because I have a job interview at a company to start an internship.

I had already finished my business administration degree; I only had to do the internship to be able to graduate.

“Hello, my loves, are you ready?”

“Hi, Mommy, yes, we're ready,” replies Nicolas.

“And we already had breakfast, too, Mommy,” says Alexander.

“We were waiting for you, Mom,” says my little Anelisse.

“You already had breakfast?”

“Yes, Mom, we had breakfast early with Grandma Carmen,” Nicolas tells me.

Nicolas is the most serious of them all, he loves to read and is very intelligent, sometimes he surprises me so much, he always has everything under control and is the most reasonable of the three, he is handsome, has green eyes, light brown hair and a beautiful face and he is very elegant in the way he dresses.

“Since we knew you had an early meeting, we got up at 6 with Grandma to get ready,” Alexander tells me.

Alexander is the opposite of Nicolas, he is also intelligent but not as much as Nicolas, he is stronger and more agile, he is good at martial arts and self-defense, Alexander is more impulsive and carefree, he is physically the same as Nicolas.

“Well, Mom, since we're ready, let's go, you're going to be late, and so are we,” says Anelisse.

Anelisse is intelligent and above all responsible, she doesn’t like to be late anywhere and she loves fashion, sometimes I think Ani has a double personality, she is hateful with strangers and always maintains a cold and distant personality.

But with the people close to her and with the people she likes, she is a sweetheart, she is adorable, she becomes very spoiled, she is a little different from her brothers since she has black hair like mine and blue eyes, but everything else is the same as her siblings. I think they look like their dad since none of them look like me, except for Ani’s hair and eye color.

We were on our way to school, after a few minutes we arrived, I said goodbye to my children giving each one a kiss.

After dropping the children off at school, I went straight to the company where I had the interview; it is one of the largest companies in Russia. My family's company is the second largest in Russia, but since I am a partner in my family's company I cannot do the internship there.

After a while I arrived at the company.

“Hello, good morning, miss, can you tell me where Mr. Nicolas Lobo's office is?”

When I found out the name of the president of the company, I was very surprised, since it is the same name as my son. I gave him that name because at the time I was looking for a name to give him, that name came to mind, and I decided to give it to him.

“Do you have an appointment?” the receptionist asks me.

“Yes, I'm here for the assistant position.”

“Are you Miss Alice Castle?”

After I went to live with my grandparents, I decided to use my name again, just like Tania.

“Yes, that's me.”

“Well, miss, Mr. Lobo is waiting for you, his office is on the 88th floor.”

“Thank you very much.”

I got into the elevator and arrived at the floor the receptionist had indicated. When I got out of the elevator, a girl approached me and told me to follow her. We arrived at a door which I believe is Mr. Lobo’s office.
